An Unanticipated Jolt
Unknowingly, PH bought the idea and invited FA to the show. When FA found out about her being asked to guest on the said show, she agreed without a fuss and without even making any noise about her acceptance. FA knew that her appearance would be fun, as she needs a change of genre to hone her acting. The guesting was settled and everyone was happy that FA made time.
Plans were set, schedules were fixed, and scripts were prepared. The other stars of the show were excited to be with FA, as they had worked with her in various capacities and in other shows and movies. Besides, FA had hardly appeared on television and viewers will definitely be curious to see her once again. As everyone was gearing up for the episode, someone was shocked at finding out that FA positive responded. Guess who?
None other than GC was surprised at the reaction of FA. All the while, she thought FA would refuse and that denial would make great copy for showbiz columns. Headlines could read that FA turned down the invitation because she was afraid to be with GC. Worse, FA could be portrayed as insecure, which could be a reason for not guesting. However, these scenarios did not happen at all, because GC was wrong.
A real trooper, FA did not back out at the chance to make GC uncomfortable. Although no one knows what FA was thinking when she accepted the offer, one thing that was clear is that there was a possibility that she might work in a scene with GC. FA exchanging lines with GC would be a hit with the audience, but tensions might be too high. Allegedly fearing that FA might overshadow her in case they would have a scene together, GC told PH not to place them together in any scene. While she claims everything is fine between them, awkwardness might prevail and GC would never escape reactions in social media that would have compared her acting with that of FA. Thus, her gimmick backfired.

A Careful Gimmick to Save Her Career
With painful realization that he still does not have a project on primetime soon, and that he had just lost ST to MP, GB has no choice. He has to move on, or else, waiting would just prolong his agony and risk losing interest of fans. The local audience could easily forget talents who are not as visible on TV or in social media. Moreover, if the project of ST and MP turn out to be a hit, then GB might really have to rethink his career plans. After all, he is already quite matured to have another loveteam.
Therefore, now, GB is in the process of trying to reinvent his image without ST. Incidentally, when the rumor of their team break up started to spread, the bashers were relentless in targeting ST. Although being bashed in social media is not new to ST, this time, the negative comments pertained to disgust over missing her being paired with GB. However, GB was the first to defend ST, which fans noticed. Apparently, GB thought that the decision to dissociate him from ST was from the higher ups. Unfortunately, the grapevine says otherwise.
When ST realized that younger talents were dislodging her from her privileged position in the network, she had to think of something to save the possibility of losing luster. As said earlier, a talent is only as good as the last project, and thus, ST did have reason to worry. Unfortunately, the negative image GB has amassed throughout their partnership did not help the fact that their last projects were not as well-received as projects of younger loveteams.
ST realized that the perfect way for her to make it big again is to revisit the formula that catapulted her to fame, and that is being with MP. Ironically, the last projects of MP did well, and thus, he was back in the limelight again. Full of confidence, MP did what he could and depended on the decision of the management. One day, he was told of the plan to rekindle his reel partnership with ST. MP had no choice but to agree, even though he knew that their past might be played up and this might strain his current relationship.
Despite their drifting apart, ST is still fond of MP, who showed her genuine affection, whereas, any form of affection shown by GB was always doubted as actions to please fans. At any rate, the move of ST to save her career is quite risky, but she has to act now or else she might run out of projects. Losing fame and financial stability is far from her mind, as she will do anything to prevent her from going back to her days of poverty. Meanwhile, GB is clueless that he was dumped and ST had a hand in it.
