PBB is notorious for doing this lol. Medyo industry norm yung ganyang “casting process” for people na may connections.
Ang problema kasi, this is a theater production. Eh yan yung form of discipline na wala kang matatago kasi everything is done live, walang extra palabok, yung raw talent at skill ang bida. Tapos ang dami pa nila sa stage, so it’s not just about what you can do. You put one inexperienced person sa lead role mahahalata talaga once they’re surrounded with talented theater actors.
Tapos yung mga taong mahilig talaga manood ng theater productions, eh nandun para panoorin yung actors kumanta, sumayaw at umarte. Kung may mga sikat at may pangalan man sila na inaabangan those actors have already proven and established themselves.
Yung baseline lang na itsura at vibe nung role, hindi rin niya kuha pa. So walang redeeming factor halos. You can’t always say na “mabait at professional naman siya” because in these spaces professionalism also means you can do the job well. Like if this were some Wattpad show na completely different pero sobrang dali ng target points keri pa eh. But a theater production?
My thoughts exactly. Ang hirap naman sa theater production, it’s all done LIVE. Mahirap itago ang shortcomings so sobrang halata at jarring panoorin yung inexperienced kapag sinalang na. Masyado silang nagmadali kay Atasha. Dapat they trained her muna ng ayos bago binigay ang ganito kalaking role.
Pbb S1, parang si Sam Milby pinapasok nila cz may connection na but he was a replacement din kasi cz someone backed out. But the rest were unknown.
I dunno sa next seasons cz di na ako nanuod pero nakibalita nlng thru chismis site. I don't think Melai or Mai2x have connections, too, cz parang nag audition naman talaga.
Pero yung mga anak ng mga artista at ginawang bida agad ay palagi nang ginagawa ng mga film outfits..kaya sana itigil na yan. Ang mga parents nlng sana mahiya

That's the problem. Hilaw pa siya, there are other more talented ones na di nabigyan ng chance just because of her surname. In short, lutong macau ang audition.

Imagine having all the money in the world and still lacking. She was already taking vocal lessons and acting lessons too. A lot of Filipino theater kids/people come from rich families. That's why if you watch theater regularly, you would see the same faces in the cast. But the thing is they actually have the talent and skills to back up their casting. Plus she was already visiting VIVA HQ multiple times, the role is really handpicked. What was the point of holding auditions for multiple people to waste their time and energy seems unfair.
Panel of judges? Lol . Why not wait and see later if she really deserves to be picked or not. Maybe they see something in her that you don't. Maybe there's something she can offer to the role that we don't know yet. Let's reserve the judgement to later.

Yung producer pa din ang may say kung sinong gusto nilang kunin para sa production nila. Kahit gaano ka pa kagaling, wala kang magagawa kung hindi ikaw ang gusto for tbe role.
Given she really auditioned, so yun na ang pinaka the best among the rest na nag audition? Kasi sa totoo lang kulang na kulang pa talaga especially na sa theater siya mag peperform.

sreious question, iba pa ba ang callback sa audition? maybe they are talking of two different things? intindi ko kasi sa callback, done na sa audition so parang shortlist, ganern. kung audition lang ung sinasabi nung isa maybe they are both right, wala nga sa audition pero pinatawag na sa callback along with the other nag audition at pumasa/shortlist
and that’s not her fault. its on her advantage and im happy for her. every parent for sure will work very hard so that their children will have an easier life later. sabi nga diba ung mga nauna tumakbo para makalakad ang mga susunod na henerasyon. wag inggitera.
Whether she auditioned or not, after that performance, no one believes she got the role due to talent. I'm sure there are a lot who sing better, but they're not the daughter of Aga M. Plus not as pretty as her. Please, kung sya yun choice ng producers then wala naman magagawa mga tao. But to shove her to our faces na sya na yun pinakamagaling sa nag-audition, is an nsult to those who have real talent
Karapatan ng producer kung sino gusto nila. But realtalk - cringy panoorin si atasha. You can really see hindi natural yung movement nya and yung singing voice is not singer level talaga.
