"Miss [Nadine] Lustre has begged off the project due to medical concerns and her resulting inability to perform her duties as an actress during the shoot up to the promotion of the film," bahagi ng liham na ipinadala ni Vincent Del Rosario ng Viva sa opisyal ng MMFF.
Ayon pa kay Ferrer, aprubado na nila nitong Huwebes, Hulyo 25, ang hiling ng Viva Films na ipalit si Bela Padilla para sa kanilang pelikula.
"We believe that Bela Padilla is an excellent actress and a bankable star and she will significantly contribute to the film's artistry and commercial success," pahayag pa ng MMFF.
Sa ngayon, inaabangan na rin ang apat pang pelikula na kukumpleto sa Magic 8 ng 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Manipulative Effort

Celebrities are often hired as endorsers to entice the public to purchase certain goods. These days, manufacturers carefully choose their celebrities given the high expense that a good ad can incur. Nonetheless, effective endorsers can increase the sales of their products and the companies would not mind paying the high talent fees as long as the return on investment is assured.
Young Celebrity (YC) and Female Talent (FT) are known as effective endorsers for consumer products. A company has noticed that, even though YC and FT are still considered new in the industry, their pull of consumers was impressive. Hence, it was a no-brainer that the two would be tapped for a renewal of contract.
As YC and FT were preparing for their endorsement, one of many, actually, Their Management (TM) received a call, which delivered bad news. The contract signing was called off. TM was puzzled because the said company has hired many of their talents for various endorsements. Thus, TM could not believe the contract signing for the same company of the two would not push through. Big Boss (BB) of TM would not take the news sitting. BB called an Executive of the Company (EC) and asked for an explanation. EC was surprised that YC and FT were not signed up and promised BB of an investigation.
An investigation was indeed conducted and the results were no longer surprising. Allegedly, the Person-in-Charge (PC) of endorsements has connections with the camp of Another Female (AF) talent of the network. Thus, it seems that AF’s camp could have influenced PC to drop FT and YC.
Upon finding out, BB was infuriated at the possibility that AF might suddenly replace FT in the said endorsement. Such scheme would not be tolerated by BB. After all, FT is far more popular than AF and looks better with YC. Hence, BB asked all the contracts of AF to be put on hold.
When FT found out the story behind the cancelled endorsement, instead of getting mad, she quietly felt her sadness, as AF seems to be really bent on destroying her popularity and career. FT was also informed to keep quiet even, which was why she could only post a cryptic quote on social media.
‘Life's up and downs provide windows of opportunity to determine your values and goals. Think of using all obstacles as stepping stones to build the life you want.’ – Marsha Sineta
