The list of 8 full-length movies and 8 short films was released on Friday, November 18, at Club Filipino.
As with the previous years, the MMFF movies will be in theaters on December 25.

Justifying Actions Without Knowing the Truth
FC and YP belong to the same network that is fond of rotating the matching of its talents to find the proper mix that could generate substantial following among the youth. Given that both were loyal to the network, they were cast in a series that proved to be quite an experiment. As FC and YP were always together during taping, the inevitable developed. She grew fond of YP. At that time, YP was just fresh from training and seemed to be the next major talent that the network would build up.
Whether the two were just making a gimmick to add interest to their project, the spark in the eyes of FC was undeniable. However, as soon as rumors emerged that both were getting closer to each other, doubters started posting their questions. The crux of the comments was the difference between the two, as one seemed not yet ready to leave the playful age, or in other words, not ready to mature yet.
Hence, the situation became traumatic for FC who was still recovering from a bad relationship with Handsome Guy (HG). As soon as her commitment was done, FC surprised people when she suddenly decided to go far away for vacation. This absence led to speculations that she was very much hurt by the failure of her alleged relationship with YP.
After taking a much needed breather, FC made a comeback and this time, seeing YP had less probability, as he could no longer wait if the network has plans for him. As soon as YP bounced back in her latest project, her being seen with HG became the subject of rumors. Good news travels fast and people started wishing FC and HG the best in their rekindled romance.
If there’s good news, then there’s bad news. When FC started talking about her alleged relationship with YP, HG did not like what he heard. Thus, he started floating the idea that he was searching for YP so he could teach him a lesson for hurting FC. When this statement made the rounds of tabloids, people could not help but wonder if FC has been prodding HG to get in trouble for her. What better flattery it is for men to fight over a woman.
As HG is on his mission to confront YP, the latter has not made any statement and is assumed to prefer peace than daring the former to break his face. Nonetheless, the ends of the circle might just meet and HG might get his wish. When that time comes, YP should be prepared for the bigger and bulkier HG. Then again, HG did not bother to keep an open mind when it came to FC.

Another Example of Getting What She Wants
Nonetheless, SP has an interesting behavior when it comes to seeking company with men. Sometime ago, she allegedly got in between the boyfriend and her Former Bestfriend (FB). SP and FB would even go to various out of town shows together, and make their hosts scratch their heads at the beyond budget requests of the duo. As their social media accounts were flooded by their photos that showed their closeness, their relationship suddenly got controversial when both started posting intriguing messages, which assumed that SP was responsible for breaking up the relationship of FB and her boyfriend. With a broken friendship, SP and FB moved on and away from each other. While SP concentrated on her career, FB has found another man who will soon be taking her to the altar.
Despite that incident, SP has not gone tired of seeking and getting what she wants regardless of people getting hurt in the process. According to the grapevine, SP shared a friendship with Attractive Friend (AF). AF has a Low Profile boyfriend (LP), whom SP did not really bother to give attention to. Time changes everything, as AF and LP were surprised that SP was giving attention to the latter. The attention was so momentous enough for SP to start posting pictures showing her with LP. Prior to these moves of SP, netizens were made aware that LP was no longer single and he even had plans of settling down with AF.
While LP would state that he and SP are only friends, the photos of SP cast doubt on their plain friendship. To add more fuel to the flame, AF was caught posting a photo that implied something was not fine. Quickly, netizens assumed that the post was indicating that AF was already bothered by the closeness of LP and SP. However, that particular post was deleted immediately. By contrast, SP has been posting boldly, which has stirred netizens to ask if she is now together with LP. However, LP has opted to answer very few netizens concerning the matter. Admission that he and SP are together would definitely invite bashing and messages questioning if AF deserves to be dumped just like that.
