When Actions Reveal More than Words Could Express

Whenever a celebrity is caught in a mess, he/she has two options, namely, to keep quiet or to answer each accusation to redeem his/her name. When showbiz talkshows reigned on television, celebrities had a forum to clarify issues that dragged their names. Such guestings were criticized as promos for upcoming projects or damage control measures. Worse, some celebrities were cautious or perhaps coached with the answers they should say when asked controversial questions.

However, now that showbiz talkshows are rare, celebrities have taken over social media to create, respond, and retaliate on certain issues that involve them. Given that majority of local celebrities personally manage their social media accounts, catching them in their raw behavior could sometimes lead to impressions on their true selves. These social media accounts reveal more of the celebrity’s nature than canned interviews with the showbiz press.

For loyal followers or kibitzers of Pretty Celebrity (PC), they were not surprised that some potentially incriminating photos were deleted from her account. During the past weeks, the name of PC has been dragged in sad issue of a Showbiz Couple (SC). Because an Involved Party (IP) could not help it, the public would not have known of the problems of SC had IP not posted direct and indirect messages on her social media account.

Although IP has yet to give hints on the cause of the controversy, PC’s name has emerged as the third party. While no one has publicly come out to verify that PC is indeed part of the issue, some people have alleged to have seen PC and the Other Half (OH) of SC quite comfortable with each other behind the cameras. As PC and OH are together in certain projects, they do have the opportunity to be together. However, instead of keeping their relationship at the professional level, they have allegedly risked the status of SC. After the claimed discovery of a deeper relationship between PC and OC, IP packed up and left.

While PC has yet to issue a statement or post in her social media account to clear her name, the deletion of photos might speak louder than actual words to clarify the matter. As the issue is still hot and IP posting every so often on her social media accounts, the resolution of the problem is far from over. Time will only tell if PC will opt to salvage her career and of IP and OH will work things out.
