She Doesn't Trust His Reasons

FC had to approach NI and confide that she feels that Her Partner (HP) was not as focused as he was. While FC and HP have been together for a time, FC started to entertain doubt when she discovered that An Actress (AA) has been sending messages to HP late at night. The nice guy that he is, would entertain the text messages anyway. At first, FC did not mind it, but became bothered with the frequency and time of the messages as well as catching HP apparently responding in secret. In addition to the texts, FC noticed that HP has now activated the lock feature of his mobile, which is unusual.
As HP is busy with his commitments, FC understood the nature of his work. Nonetheless, FC had to figure out why HP has been coming home late, and would reason out that he has taping. Trusting the word of HP, FC took everything calmly, but then, at times, would ask herself if there was really a scheduled taping on those days. FC might have realized that HP and AA seem to be closer these days, and rumors of seeing HP and AA together outside the city even if they have no taping are not helping the situation.
Is something deeper than friendship developing between HP and AA? HP could just be helping out each other in their acting assignments. Effective acting sometimes involves a certain closeness between actors and HP and AA might just be, ahm, bonding. Nonetheless, FC seems to be feeling something else. FC, however, should not let possibly insecurity and jealousy eat her up. In the eyes of the public, HP continues to dote on her and considers her as the most significant person in his life. Meanwhile, FC remains to be the subtle intelligent woman that she is. Approaching NI could not have been just to air her thoughts, as it sends a signal that she is feeling uneasy, and the choice of person to confide in happens to be connected with AA and HP.

Travails of Working with the Network Host

When a group came over to witness the taping of one of the shows of Innovative Host (IH), they were shocked at what they had seen. First, IH was not at all interested in his segments and it seemed that everything he was doing was forced or done because actions were part of the image of IH. Second, while IH is supposed to remain neutral, he sometimes ends up influencing people with the action they should be doing in front of the camera. In other words, some guests are favored because IH says so. For example, expect IH to go all out if the guest happens to be moneyed. By contrast, if the guest were an ordinary individual, IH would just be cool. At one point, a guest complained at how IH came up with his unfavorable spiel, as he was not even around with the guest. Since it is his show, IH seems to be too comfortable and moves around whenever he wishes. As long as the camera is not focused on him, expect his fingers to be tinkering with his mobile.
As activities behind the scenes are difficult with IH, the staff could only do so much as IH has an audience that cuts across audience types and the show has a format that is synonymous to IH. However, things will get worse if the name of Versatile Celebrity (VC) is mentioned in front of IH. While VC appears as an actor and model, the network gave him a break as a host because he is articulate and adventurous. Ironically, VC only has good words for IH and considers the latter as a model of hosting. However, what VC does not know is that IH has been bad-mouthing him. For example, IH is critical of the hosting style of VC and cites that he lacks knowledge on topics tackled in his segment. IH even vowed not to allow VC to guest in his show.
Over the years, IH has established a name in his field and thus, has amassed a certain following. However, unlike his contemporaries, he has remained in that genre, as the others have moved to other assignments and have shown their potential. The network, meanwhile, continues to discover other talents, such as VC, and thus, IH seems to be relegated to the background. Nonetheless, regardless of the source of his alleged insecurities, good behavior is still a requisite behind the camera.
