Be Afraid

Communication is the key to a healthy relationship and when a partner is ignored for weeks, someone ought to worry. For several weeks, Pondering Partner (PP) has not been receiving calls from Cute Boyfriend (CB). Although PP and CB are busy with various projects, PP started to worry as to why CB has not been communicating with her for around three weeks. Her texts and calls were not replied to by CB. Feeling lost, PP wanted to clarify their status and other issues given that their anniversary was coming soon. So, she invited him for dinner.

After a few minutes, CB said that he was sick for a few days. PP said she would come over and bring him food. However, CB said that he had the flu and did not want PP to catch it from him. PP was insistent on coming over to see him, but CB no longer replied. Worse, he could not be reached anymore.

Many things were in the mind of PP concerning their relationship. First, she wanted to know why CB has been unresponsive to her reaching out. Second, she needed to clarify stories she has been hearing about CB and a Network Talent (NT). Stories linking the two seemed to be going overboard and PP was already looking like a fool. The latest to have reached PP was the sighting of CB and NT in a private resort.

For her peace of mind, PP called An Assistant (AA) of CB to find out how sick CB was. AA was surprised at the call and said that CB was not sick, as he was scheduled to go to Actor Friend (AF)’s party. PP did not fuss about what she heard and calmly decided not to call CB.

The next day, PP found herself facing possible truths, as she was being informed of alleged sightings of CB and NT. Confirming her suspicion was the presence of CB and NT at AF’s event. Allegedly, the two were together in one car. Out of anger, which she could not really express outwardly, PP resorted to clicking the heart icon in most photos of CB and NT that had tagged her social media account. At that point, CB and PP had not broken up yet, but the suspicion of PP was eating her and if photos could tell a thousand stories, PP’s intuition could have just been confirmed.
