Ego Really Peaks

However, certain celebrities can behave unexpectedly simply because they made the switch. In an event, former colleagues of Transferee Talent (TT) were shocked at the cold treatment he gave them. After leaving his network, TT signed up with another station, which was not at all surprising. Having been part of a showbiz family, it was only a matter of time that TT makes a comeback, as acting is in his blood. Besides, TT gets most of his earnings from showbiz and time off could have been taking a toll in his finances.
During the event, invitations were sent to celebrities and wannabees whom the hosts identified. Although the event was supposed to be exclusive, invited personalities brought dates coming from other networks and other fields. As the entertainment industry is not that big, everyone was expected to be pleasant to each other. However, such was not the case.
Guests who were not part of the network, but were able to work with TT in his former station bumped into him, the actor kept his gaze straight, as if he did not see them. He walked away and avoided his former colleagues. This attitude was such a turn off, but TT was too proud to even smile at them. If TT had been unhappy with his former station, the question was why he had to be rude to his former colleagues as well who obviously were not part of his decision to leave.
Instead of making a big deal out of the arrogance of TT, the snubbed colleagues enjoyed themselves and realized that TT was no friend after all. Such attitude was not shocking as TT has a way to project himself as someone who is above the rest. Of course, people who have followed his career know that he has yet to really make a mark in the business and he has no major hit movie or project that either station could say that he was his alone. If people thought that moving to another station could be a humbling experience for TT, sad to say that this impression is wrong.
“A proud man is always looking down on things and people; and, of course, as long as you are looking down, you cannot see something that is above you.” ― C.S. Lewis

GMA is First Local TV Network to Implement Closed Captioning in Philippine Free TV
Leading broadcast station GMA Network has officially started implementing closed captioning beginning October, becoming the first local TV station in the country to do so.
Offering a more inclusive viewing experience, GMA’s closed captioning enables its viewers to read a full transcription of the dialogue as well as other key elements of the program such as background music, effects, etc. at the bottom part of the screen. This is especially beneficial to viewers who are deaf or who are hard of hearing.
The Network’s move is in compliance with Republic Act No. 10905, which requires “all franchise holders or operators of television programs to broadcast or present their programs with closed caption option…"
An initial test of this service was applied to the film Mission Impossible, which was aired on Kapuso Movie Festival last September 28.
Currently, the Network is fully implementing closed-captioning in all movie blocks shown on GMA-7 and select movies on GMA News TV and will be operational on certain television models.
