To stay firm on wanting to move on, Trusting Talent (TT) vowed independence as far as his roles are concerned. TT wanted to prove he can be on his own. Throughout his years in the industry, TT worked hard to become a competent actor. His path was not smooth as he received harsh comments when he was starting out.

However, TT broke his word, as he could not turn down an offer coming from a Close Friend (CF). CF asked TT if he could be in a project with Female Friend (FF). TT was hesitant. He was made to look like he used personal issues to promote his last project with FF. TT did not want to ruin his friendship with CF. He went onboard for free.

During the taping, TT asked about how FF was and she responded that she was happy with her friendship with Male Personality (MP). She and MP have been seeing much of each other, too. Like in many productions, inputs of talents were valued by the production. Revisions were done several times allegedly on the side of FF. Just to finish the project, TT went with the flow even if the outcome showed his character was at fault.

The project was well received, but the succeeding events made TT feel he was used again. TT asked CF if everything was planned. CF said he and his camp had no knowledge of what was to transpire after the project. Further, CF did not know that the project’s theme was actually a request coming from FF. Later, FF denied to CF’s camp that the project was secretly a prelude to MP’s actions.

Lovestruck Talent (LT) is under pressure to meet the standards of Female Celebrity (FC). LT and FC worked in the same network, where their friendship blossomed. After hitting it off, LT and FC have been hanging around together.

These days, projects are hard to come by. With so many new faces willing to do daring roles, parts for the likes of LT are highly competitive. LT has the looks and talent, but such traits are not enough. LT seems to be missing out on the appeal factor. Hence, his team is finding it hard to find projects for him.

Such situation did not stop LT from trying to impress FC even if his moves are turning into expensive ventures. During dates, LT insisted on paying for the whole bill. Those dates were not in cheap places, as they did not want to be seen easily by the public. They even went abroad together. In addition, LT showered FC with expensive gifts. LT relied on his social media collaborations to keep his pocket full.

When they went on vacation, FC insisted on spending for half the cost, as she was concerned with LT’s career, too. Allegedly, LT had to sell an important possession to raise his share. The behavior of LT did not escape His Mentor (HM)’s eye. HM advised LT to take it easy on spending just to be within the company of FC. FC, as far as people know, already has much of what she needs in life and materialism is the least of her worries. Meanwhile, HM felt that FC only wants companionship with LT for now, as she has not acknowledged him at all in public nor in her plans. HM can only feel pity as LT has been hit hard by FC.

Not Meant for the Role

These days, production teams rely on auditions to give talents a fair chance at certain roles and prevent the usual network personalities from monopolizing work. In addition, production teams can discover deserving newbies.

Talents can sometimes do more than auditioning just to be considered for a role. For instance, Expecting Talent (ET) was coveting a prized role in a network project. To make a mark during the audition, ET was advised to prepare by building up her public relations to people who would matter. ET followed the recommendation and was all out in giving expensive gifts, such as branded bags and watches. She even asked the help of her supportive parents for funds. When the giving frenzy ended, ET allegedly spent a very hefty figure.

Auditions came and ET showed her stuff. The panel was, unfortunately, unimpressed and shocked. The acting was below par and registration was not that remarkable. However, the panel included ET in the recommendation list. After thorough evaluation, ET was not even in the supporting cast. ET was depressed and her parents were disappointed. ET was embarrassed as well as she made a premature announcement to friends that she would be get the role.

Male Talent 1 (MT1) and Male Talent 2 (MT2) have been inseparable since starting their careers. Sharing common life factors, the two found their interests and continued their friendship despite diverse paths in showbiz. MT1 managed to outperform MT2 in exposure, popularity, and projects. MT2, however, landed meaningful projects that showed his acting range. Nonetheless, the two bonded off cam.

As the cliché goes, finding friends in showbiz is difficult as people might merely be acting just to win favor. In the case of MT1 and MT2, both were present in the worst times of each one and provided constant support. When MT1 was having family issues, MT2 was the bridge that made the family understand his friend. He did the same when MT1 was in relationship trouble.

However, their rift started when MT2 realized the indecisiveness of MT1 in their venture. The two had the same vision when they began with the idea of MT2. Changes occurred when another investor came into the picture and the business aspect started to overshadow the creative side, which was the forte of MT2.

Given that investors will always look at marketability and profit/loss potential, the original dream slowly died. MT1 followed what the new investors thought would bring in money. MT2 could not do much given that his ideas were deemed as unmarketable. Rather than become resentful, MT2 allegedly quit, packed up, and went home.

Expensive Eagerness

As soon as government authorities gave the go-signal for work in the entertainment industry to proceed, production houses adhered to the guidelines and added their own rules to ensure a safe environment. In addition, several celebrities made requests in the same light. Their requests were followed, as soaps needed continuity to complete a season.

Lockdown tapings were scheduled. The cast and crew were stationed in a location and the agreement was to stay for weeks until the target production was met. Prior to the lockdown, everyone involved had to undergo a swab test and ideally wait for the results. Once everyone was cleared, the taping commenced.

Sadly, a production team was eager to start work and did not wait for the swab test results. Taping was started given that the project had been highly anticipated months ago. When the results came out, amiable Leading Man (LM) was found positive. The production was placed on hold as a precaution. After all, talents and crew who interacted with LM could be infected as well and thus, they all had to quarantine.
