When the Smell Gets the Better of their Professionalism

To make sure interest in Remarkable Performer (RP), the numbers she does every time she appears in a show are varied and exhibit her capabilities. Sometimes, when RP sings alone onstage, her number is often made attractive with lighting effects or a backdrop comprising pictures appropriate to the theme of her song or the show itself. However, RP has expanded her talent. From singing coyly, she has moved on to incorporating dancing in her numbers.
Performers know that pulling off a number that comprises live singing and fast choreography with backup dancers is difficult. Not only should the movement be on the beat, the performer should not forget the lyrics as well. One can lipsynch, but such action will be criticized by picky fans and bashers. Thus, live singing is a must and timed moving is essential.
As a performer, RP always gives her best and she feels her fans deserve to see her skills. She’s not hard to work with and hardly are complaints heard coming from her personally. Hence, even the unnamed personnel who make her look good onstage like working with her. After all, these performers are assured of an audience because the numbers of RP are well-followed.
Nonetheless, these unnamed performers, such as the backup dancers, have noticed something that they have to accept in the performance of RP. Being in the background does not really give much voice and these dancers just have to go with the flow even if it means encountering instances they would prefer not to. As professionals, they have to perform effortlessly and without any reaction.
Therefore, no one among them could approach RP as they do fear that they might offend the lady. During practices and the actual numbers, discomfort had to be overcome because RP has been sweating badly such that her armpits are always wet. Given that her numbers require lifting, which makes dances more exciting, the dancer-lifters have to touch her armpit. Then, they cannot change facial expressions when they get a whiff of her smell as they give her a boost. A reaction would immediately be caught on camera and project a message to the audience. Hence, these unnamed performers have to grin and bear the sweaty smelly situation.

Radio DJ Karen Bordador and her boyfriend Emilio Lim were arrested after a buy-bust operation in Pasig City.
According to a report on TV Patrol, P3 million worth of ecstasy, marijuana, and marijuana oil were found at their condo unit in Pasig City on Saturday, August 13. Also found at the unit were drug paraphernalia, money, and a money counting machine.
Senior Superintendent Tomas Apolinario told TV Patrol, "Itong operation na ito ay bunga ng direktiba ng ating chief PNP (Philippine National Police), na sugpuin ang ilegal na droga dito sa mga high-end clubs tsaka sa mga bars."
(This operation is a directive from our chief PNP, that we should suppress the illegal drugs that can be found at high-end clubs and bars.)
Apolinario added that it was mostly teenagers, wealthy people, and celebrities who bought drugs from Bordador and Lim.
According to a report, a Filipino-American caught selling ecstasy at Bonifacio Global City told the police about the couple. – Rappler.com
