A Bad Keepsake

It came like a shock to some of her friends when Celebrity Editor CE posted in her social media account a strongly-worded statement that somehow caught her followers by surprise. CE who is not known for anything combative in her posts left her friends wondering who could she be alluding to.
From some sources, it was gathered that CE’s staff made invitation to Passionate Actress PA to request her to be their magazine cover. It was learned that PA not only declined the offer but was reported to have uttered something unsavory about the magazine and CE. Those unsavory remarks had reached CE and caused her outburst.
At their editorial meeting, CE blew her top and infront of everyone, she called PA “unprofessional, mayabang at walang talent.” Certainly, the staff knew where CE was coming from, and they understood her.
In a way, showbiz is such a small world, everyone knows that whatever conflict one has towards a colleague/s should not be a reason to close and lock one’s doors because it is definitely a no-win situation.
But one may ask, why would PA decline an offer to pose for a magazine cover where CE works. Well, it’s a no-brainer question for people who are privy to the history of PA and CE. Is it not public knowledge that the two have a common denominator in the person of a low-key and elusive bureaucrat? Some people surmise that for the three of them, the circumstances behind their love story are not exactly worth looking back to.

Maja Salvador Finds New Friend in Angel Locsin

Actress Maja Salvador considers her upcoming series a big step in her career since she will be sharing starring with two of the most acclaimed stars of this generation.
Following the success of “Ina Kapatid Anak,” Salvador said she is already looking forward to working again – this time with Angel Locsin and Jericho Rosales.
“I am very excited kasi panibagong step at panibagong challenge 'yun sa career ko. The story is all about love. Parang hanggang kailan mo kakayanin ang lahat para sa pag-ibig,” she said in an interview.
Salvador said she is glad to have found a new friend in Locsin, who she described as a very kind person.
“Kapag nakikita ko siya parang walang siyang ibang ginawa kundi ngumiti. Parang angel talaga. Ang gaganda din ng projects na ginagawa niya. Excited ako na makatrabaho siya. Happy din daw siya na magkasama kami sa isang teleserye,” she said.
As for Rosales, Salvador admitted she has been a fan of the actor because of his brilliance as seen in his previous work.
“Never ko na-imagine [na magiging leading lady niya ako] pero excited din ako. Kasi dati pinapanood ko siya sa ‘Pangako Sa ’Yo.’ Parang walang pinagbago 'yung galing niya sa pag-arte. Masasabi ko na being part of this teleserye is a big step and big challenge for my career,” she said.
Having been in showbiz for 10 years now, Salvador said she is extremely grateful to ABS-CBN for giving her different projects that will showcase her talents.
“Never pa kasi ako nakagawa ng project na halos parehas. Yearly, palaki ng palaki. Laging bago. Ganon lagi sa akin. Feeling ko mas okay 'yun kasi kapag naging kampante ka sa isang bagay, baka maapekuhan yung trabaho. Kaya ako okay ako na laging may kaba, takot na baka hindi swak sa akin yung isang character or kung magagawa ko ba ng tama 'yung role ko,” she said.
The working title of Salvador’s upcoming series is “Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin.”

Reportedly, SA and NM have sent feelers to a top network TN that they are willing to negotiate with them should the need arises. NM’s terms and conditions to HN is a big upgrade from the previous one. If such requests will be granted by HN, it’s all systems go. Otherwise, SA and NM will walk a few steps to TN’s door to see what’s in store. These things were foreboding early on. Heard that SA had long expressed willingness – or even excitement to work with TN which has bigger reach and in her own words, more “sosyal.”
Should the inevitable happen, how would SA’s entry to TN sit with its big stars there? Will she be accorded a grand welcome, too, like her other colleague before her years ago? How will her erstwhile nemesis EN take it? Will her talent be unleashed to its full potential? How much deodorizing will be used to repackage her so that she will finally appeal to the target demographics. It’s official!
TV5 FVP for creative and entertainment production Perci Intalan is engaged to his boyfriend of 10 years — Jun Lana, the award-winning writer-director of “Bwakaw”. The gay couple will tie the knot in New York City in October — to the approval and delight of friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry.
“Yes, I’m getting married. Thank you!” Perci told News5 with a hearty laugh. “Nakakatuwa lahat ng reaksyon. I never thought I’d be on this side of the interview. Nakaka-overwhelm ang suporta. ”In our situation it’s all spontaneous, pero alam namin gusto namin.”
Perci and Jun, who are both in their early 40s, made the decision to get married while celebrating their 10th anniversary on Tuesday.
“10 years of love, laughter and respect. That’s about 50 in straight years,” Jun said on Facebook that day, a post accompanied by a photo of a framed portrait of the couple.
So who proposed to whom? According to Perci, the decision was really spontaneous. It just happened after he gifted the both of them with matching engagement rings (right).
In a spur of the moment, they decided to post a picture of the rings on Facebook with the caption, “You are cordially invited…”
“We’re really blessed,” Perci acknowledged. “Bukod sa relationshop sa isa’t isa, all our friends and family know about us. This is just graduating and making it official.”
The couple realizes that the wedding will not be legally binding in the Philippines.
“To be perfectly candid, whatever is official there doesn’t necessarily apply here. But I think it’s the act and going somewhere which is officially recognized means something to us,” Perci said.

Little Performer LP’s launch into showbiz was as fast as her rise to stardom. Armed with the wit that rivals even her more experienced contemporaries and irresistible charm that endears her to everyone - anyone can say that LP's career is strewn with rainbows, glitters and all things pretty.
It is from resilience, talent and familial support that LP was able to reach the top. And of course, with her Rigid Guardian RG beside her, her future is set.
But then, along with commercial success comes the inevitable popularity. We have seen stars and some celebrity either humbled by fame or unfortunately let it inflate their egos.
Sadly, stories like these are not new. We can only hope that this display of attitude is just a phase, lest it affects LP's career nastily. Maybe RG should just leave her daughter do the looking up, for what she should be doing is looking back.

friends' dismay. RG's snobbery also reached notorious levels that
everytime LP goes out of the house for her commitments, RG covers her
with a big blanket, seemingly protecting her from everyone’s view.
