Comparison Galore

Netizens observed that two couples seem to be trying to outdo each other on social media. As soon as someone posts, expect the other to post something similar or even better. It’s like they are trying to make the other feel inferior. The seeming competition apparently comes from their backgrounds.

Couple A (CA) and Couple B (CB) intersected at a certain stage of their lives. Partner 1 of CA (P1CA) and Partner 1 of CB (P1CB) were once believed to be each other's forever. Despite risking privacy and bravely facing critics, CA moved on with their careers until a challenge came. They broke up and P1CB was left out in the cold.  

P1CA moved on after a controversial breakup complete with denials, but time is the ultimate truth teller. P2CA moved into the picture with P1CA. Like magic, P2CB and P1CB met. They became a couple.

Given that CA and CB move in the same circles, netizens cannot help but wonder about their behavior toward each other. It seems that CB has an edge as P2CB is more generous as she has a well-paying career. Coincidentally, P1CA seems to be following the footsteps of P2CB in getting a more stable career than what she has now.
