    1. Ang tanong is ano susunod sa Gen-Z e last letter na yun ng alphabet? Babalik ba sa Gen-A o mag-iimbento ng Gen-AA? Hahahahaha!

    2. Ako I don’t know kung saan ako lulugar if Millenial ba ako. I don’t even get that. Anyway, I was born in 1989 and I have older brothers and sisters who were in College and High School in the 90’s so I grew up with the pop culture then with their influence. I know I’m a 90’s kid, so I hope Chito won’t discredit us born in the late 80’s not being batang 90’s. I even grew up listening to his band’s songs in my kuya’s walkman.

    4. Greek letters na po. Ang small kids theses days (preschoolers down) are Alpha Gen na.

    5. I was born in 80's din. Kahit anong generation ka man, I think lahat tayo may dala dala na memories from the past years and now, hangan sa huli mananatili sa ating yon.

Basta ako i know na 90’s kid ako. Cellphone na pang call lang, beeper, family computer, patintero sa daan, roller blades, telebabad sa landline tapos makikipagaway sa kapatid or pinsan kung sino ang gagamit ng phone, cd, laser disc, late 80’s to early 2000 music na upto now eh nasa playlist ko. If i could turn back time, babalik ako sa high school days ko. And like chito, gago din ako nung HS but high school life is sooooo masaga talaga. I miss those days.

    12. You guys are probably right we have our issues and so are the other generations. The problems that we are facing now some of it is a domino effects of the older generations so before you guys judge millennials maybe have a good check on a mirror because as far us millennials are concerned we are trying to make the future bright for the upcoming generations not just economically, but also with social equality, cultural awareness and hopefully a proper moral compass ,And if being sensitive and entitled are one of our flaws and so be it. Hopefully when the time comes that we millennials are in the position to guide we will have the courage to own up to our mistakes and help the younger generation learn from it. With this they can have their own mistakes and from that point knowledge and wisdom will be passed on to the next generations.

And daming pinaglalaban feminist lgbt vegans, pero yun oppression sa north korea and china and starvation sa africa even sa philippines, climate change, celebrities and PC hypocrites have not much to say. Kung ano lang yun uso like #metoo movement and what not ayun ride lahat ng celebrities and all the other PC hypocrites. Pero sa ibang issues even if said without malice ouch nasasaktan agad at agad agad tweet or punta sa IG and start arguments and confrontations. Dumb.

They believe there are always politically correct since they are born in the times of internet access is easy peasy and the ‘information’ they search on Google are the basis of it all but they get easily offended if you slap facts in their faces.
In short spoiled at entitled. LOL

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yup you are a millenial who happen to like 80s pop culture but it doesn't mean you belong to that generation. It doesn't start and end there. You didn't grow up with martial law rules in the background, the US Russia cold war. We went to school and came of age without the help of the internet, etc. Experiences shaped each generation differently, not to mention that each generation were raised and governed by people from another generation.

      Delete
    2. Ginaya at tinagalog pa kasi yung Generation 80s, 90s, X, Y, Z ng pauso at patrending na Amerika at tayo namang mga BANDWAGONERS e ginawang Batang para tunog atin! So ang magamdang term ngayon is BATANG BANDWAGONERS!

    3. 7:42 say what you want pero you will never take away my happiness and belongingness to that generation. Manigas ka jan I’m know I’m an 80’s kid at heart.

      Delete
    4. Hoy, 12:56! Millenial ka if you were born in the 80s. And you're not an 80s baby, 90s baby ka. I was born in 1985 and though I grew up loving many things about the 80s (lalo na nung nasa highschool na ko, dun ako mas naexpose at na-aapreciate ang 80s music and stuff), I never considered myself an 80s baby kasi I was only 4 yrs old when the 80s ended and wala pa ako muwang nun. I didn't get to reall experience the 80s life. Ganun yun! Matuto ka umintindi. Di porket napanganak ka ng 80s and you like 80s stuff eh 80s baby ka na. Sus.

      Delete
  6. Just like him, many are misusing the term millenial. Yes, we need to take it technically. I get what he meant about batang 90s but he later discredited millenials who are also batang 90s. But I agree that more people get easily offended today. I'm not saying we should tolerate what's wrong but we should learn to let some things slide and not make big deal of everything that is "offensive" by nitpicking even the smallest thing.

    ReplyDelete

  31. Parang iba ang pag classify ng generations noon compared to how the term millenials is being defined today. Millenial is a fairly new term - it gained popularity nung mga mid to late 00s na kaya marami siguro nag assume na millenial ka kung year 2000 onwards ka pinanganak. Before the word came to be Gen Z talaga ang tawag sa youngest generation noon. I was born in 1989 and tanda ko noon sa articles na nababasa ko nung 90s generation X pa tawag sa young adults at adults nung time na yun. The kids and young teenagers, meanwhile, are dubbed as gen Y or Z depende dun sa trip nung writer. 😂

Batang 90’s and millenials are or can be the same. Millenials can also be batang 90s na working young adults na ngayon. Yung mga teenagers ngayon will have a different generation named after them once their age rules the working class + work force.

  37. Dami nyong alam! Lahat naman ng generation annoyed sa generation after them. Sa school nga diba, ang mga juniors look up to seniors but hate sophomores. Lahat tayo gusto maging best. The truth is, every generation has its best and worst traits, so deal with it at wag ng magcompare! Mind your own life instead of arguing who’s better mga isip bata.

  38. tama naman ang mga pinagsasabi ni Chito.

  39. Batang 90s daw, mga TEENAGERS AT COLLEGE KIDS? Please lang. Kailan naging bata ang teenagers at nasa college?

Im glad na 90s kid ako. But let's not use it to put other generations down.

    1. Truth. Chito is obviously a batang 80s and thats fine. I dont know why he needs to insist na batang 90s sya eh ang tanda nya na nung 90s.

    2. Well, batang 90's ka if you spent most of these stages of your life, middle childhood to adolescence(6-20 yrs) mo sa decade na yun. Not sure of Chito's age but he may have spent these stages of his life in both the 80's and 90's so he can identify with both. In fact, mas memorable pa nga ang adolescence mo(12-20 yrs), compared sa middle at late childhood, kaya mas nakakaidentify siya sa 90's more than the 80's.

Who cares about those generation titles?

  42. Batang 90s din ako, born in '82. Every generation is different, wag feeling superior

  44. I was born 1982 and I find this particular song offensive, not just for me but for every woman in general. Ayaw ko ng pinapatugtog nya yan as well as dont touch my birdie and cooking ng ina mo

Picha pie, mr. Suave, mang jose too name a few

So inokray nila to sort of put her in her place. Just asking.

  45. Kahit ano pang generation ka, death is inevitable, kaya habang may buhay ienjoy na lang yon life. Naalala ko tuloy yon kanta na "paglisan"...tanging pabaon ko ay pagibig, at sa future gens, sana maalala pa din nila tayo, kasi may time na we ruled the world.

  46. Born 1980 here. I was an 18 yr old college kid when Silvertoes was released. Pag gimik sa bahay or boarding house ng barkada, me and my friends just giggled, sang along over beer and simpleng pulutan, blasting PNE, eheads, pati introvoys songs. Not to sound like I'm patronizing a bad habit, but as kids back then, you sing along not because you're bullying or offending a certain person but bec you feel PNE's inis and gigil dun sa person ng Silvertoes at super aliw lang. We don't read too much into stuff like those back then. Tapos isipin namin uy masama ka kasi you used these words, you're offensive etc. Their material isn't something you call out or scrutinize or put too much meaning then. Soundtrip lang talaga. Kutis champorado wasn't offensive back then. Nung time namin, tawanan pa kami na "uy ikaw yun ah!" Walang na ooffend. Fun times. Nakakamiss.

  47. Magsitigil kayo! 80’s was the best. The soundtrack, movies, tv series, economy, it was all fun back then and the music in the 80s oh my god... simply the best

    1. I beg to disagree! 90's is the best decade to grow up in, sige, mas maganda na music during 80's but movies, fashion, tv and economy were better nung 90's.

  53. I was born in '80, just a few yrs later than Chito (he was born in '77) at ako ay batang 80s.

  54. Batang 70s: born 1961-1970 (Gen X-Boomer cusp)
Batang 80s: born 1971-1980 (Gen X/Martial law babies)
    Batang 90s: born 1981-1990 (Gen Y/Older Millennials)
    Batang 00s: born 1991-2000 (Gen Y/Younger Millennials)
Disclaimer: ang mga 1 years ay hybrid ng 2 dekada since kalahati ng kabataan nila ay nasa 2 dekada. So kung ikaw ay pinanganak nung 1981, ikaw ay 80s-90s kid kasi bata ka mula nung '86 to '93 (4 yrs ng 80s at 4 yrs ng 90s) so halos 50-50 ka. Hindi counted ang first 4 years kasi wala ka pang kamalay-malay nung mga panahong iyon at hindi mo pa maeenjoy ang buhay mo.
