Ang tanong is ano susunod sa Gen-Z e last letter na yun ng alphabet? Babalik ba sa Gen-A o mag-iimbento ng Gen-AA? Hahahahaha!
Ako I don’t know kung saan ako lulugar if Millenial ba ako. I don’t even get that. Anyway, I was born in 1989 and I have older brothers and sisters who were in College and High School in the 90’s so I grew up with the pop culture then with their influence. I know I’m a 90’s kid, so I hope Chito won’t discredit us born in the late 80’s not being batang 90’s. I even grew up listening to his band’s songs in my kuya’s walkman.
I was born in 80's din. Kahit anong generation ka man, I think lahat tayo may dala dala na memories from the past years and now, hangan sa huli mananatili sa ating yon.
1987 here. Pwede ba wag na natin i-angat na yun ibang generation and compare it to earlier gen.
Basta ako i know na 90’s kid ako. Cellphone na pang call lang, beeper, family computer, patintero sa daan, roller blades, telebabad sa landline tapos makikipagaway sa kapatid or pinsan kung sino ang gagamit ng phone, cd, laser disc, late 80’s to early 2000 music na upto now eh nasa playlist ko. If i could turn back time, babalik ako sa high school days ko. And like chito, gago din ako nung HS but high school life is sooooo masaga talaga. I miss those days.
You guys are probably right we have our issues and so are the other generations. The problems that we are facing now some of it is a domino effects of the older generations so before you guys judge millennials maybe have a good check on a mirror because as far us millennials are concerned we are trying to make the future bright for the upcoming generations not just economically, but also with social equality, cultural awareness and hopefully a proper moral compass ,And if being sensitive and entitled are one of our flaws and so be it. Hopefully when the time comes that we millennials are in the position to guide we will have the courage to own up to our mistakes and help the younger generation learn from it. With this they can have their own mistakes and from that point knowledge and wisdom will be passed on to the next generations.
Blame it on the fake woke culture. So many hypocrites and pretentious fools getting so called offended by the most minor stuff but they don’t even walk their talk. They’re just a bunch of trying to be politically correct hypocrites.
I agree its that PC BS na ginagaya lang naman mostly sa america where most people are hypocrites. There can never be a perfect world for every individual or creature in this world. And daming pinaglalaban feminist lgbt vegans, pero yun oppression sa north korea and china and starvation sa africa even sa philippines, climate change, celebrities and PC hypocrites have not much to say. Kung ano lang yun uso like #metoo movement and what not ayun ride lahat ng celebrities and all the other PC hypocrites. Pero sa ibang issues even if said without malice ouch nasasaktan agad at agad agad tweet or punta sa IG and start arguments and confrontations. Dumb.
May freedom of speech. Mas maganda yoong may nag didisagree or may naiiba ang opinyon.
In America there’s this term ‘PC Baby’ which perfectly describes those born in 2005 onwards. They believe there are always politically correct since they are born in the times of internet access is easy peasy and the ‘information’ they search on Google are the basis of it all but they get easily offended if you slap facts in their faces. In short spoiled at entitled. LOL
Let’s not be too technical, I’m not discounting his ideas pwede naman yun pero kase uso na ngayon ang identify and sense of belongingness. I was born late 80’s pero I really love everything about 80’s music, tv and films. I’m an 80’s kid trapped in the millenial loop.
Yup you are a millenial who happen to like 80s pop culture but it doesn't mean you belong to that generation. It doesn't start and end there. You didn't grow up with martial law rules in the background, the US Russia cold war. We went to school and came of age without the help of the internet, etc. Experiences shaped each generation differently, not to mention that each generation were raised and governed by people from another generation.
Ginaya at tinagalog pa kasi yung Generation 80s, 90s, X, Y, Z ng pauso at patrending na Amerika at tayo namang mga BANDWAGONERS e ginawang Batang para tunog atin! So ang magamdang term ngayon is BATANG BANDWAGONERS!
7:42 say what you want pero you will never take away my happiness and belongingness to that generation. Manigas ka jan I’m know I’m an 80’s kid at heart.
Hoy, 12:56! Millenial ka if you were born in the 80s. And you're not an 80s baby, 90s baby ka. I was born in 1985 and though I grew up loving many things about the 80s (lalo na nung nasa highschool na ko, dun ako mas naexpose at na-aapreciate ang 80s music and stuff), I never considered myself an 80s baby kasi I was only 4 yrs old when the 80s ended and wala pa ako muwang nun. I didn't get to reall experience the 80s life. Ganun yun! Matuto ka umintindi. Di porket napanganak ka ng 80s and you like 80s stuff eh 80s baby ka na. Sus.
Just like him, many are misusing the term millenial. Yes, we need to take it technically. I get what he meant about batang 90s but he later discredited millenials who are also batang 90s. But I agree that more people get easily offended today. I'm not saying we should tolerate what's wrong but we should learn to let some things slide and not make big deal of everything that is "offensive" by nitpicking even the smallest thing.
2:58, demographers don't totally agree on the years Gen-X babies were born. It's none of your business if I affiliate with Gen-X based on culture, ethics, and ideologies.
HAHAHAHA! True, 2:58. But there's alo a term 'xennial' or what's also known 'early millenials'. I was born in 1985 and I'm happier to belong to the early millenials. Hehe.
Snowflake alert! These kids are so hard to deal with because the adults let them grow up receiving awards and praises for something so normal like complete attendance. Now we’re all being attacked by these entitled fools.
i agree with you anon 1:11. kids back then had it tough. kaya siguro when they became parents, ayaw nila iparanas sa mga anak nila yung "hirap", which is ironic kasi because of those, tumibay tayo sa buhay.
same! are we being discredited here? lol kasi lumaki at mulat ako sa music ng pne! pero parang di ako sinali sa bracket niya! dapat ba maoffend ako?? charot!!
Hahaha. Until now pag may mga get together, inuman and videoke sesh. Hindi nawawala yung kantang yan. Hindi din naman kami na offend.
Kaloka. Eto na lang para mas madaling intindihin, ako mahilig sa all things japanese (jpop culture, anime, jpop music, japanese food) but that doesn't make me Japanese, does it?
I was born in 1988.
Ako rin batang 90s...and millennial... State of mind na generation hindi year of birth
1:42 and everyone who disagreed with my comment: Naintindihan ko po fully ang sinabi ni Chito. Yes, he did apologize.
if you really want to prove a point, ganito dapat, take words from legit sources who identifies the technical terms for it. I hate to admit it, but based on my year of birth I am a Millennial, but in my mind I feel I belong to Gen X kasi mas relate ako sa kanila
LOL! Anon 1:37. Millenial ka and that's a fact. Millenial is otherwise known as Generation Y, it is a term coined for people born between 1982-1996. Another name for a generation ang 'millenial'.
Yes and they are the most racist of all! Even to themselves to the point that they change themselves drastically to look more Western. Also, there’s too many cultural misappropriations in their music videos.
I'm impressed with how level headed and calm he was in answering the bashers. But if asawa na niya yan... Might have ended differently. Chito is very intelligent
Im born in 1984,certifief batang 90's where i enjoyed playing lastiko, dampa, shatong, taguan, langit lupa, pogs, text, lutuan gamit dahon at lata ng sardinas, bahay bahayan, tundahan at dahom ang perang pambayad. Walang cellphone at internet kaya me and my friends played outside our homes at uuwi sa gabi kung kakain. All homes were crazy about pba, i was a purefoods fan in my 2nd grade. We bathed in the rain, danced and sung to STOP by spice girls. I fought with my cousins for Britney spears coz they were xtina's fans and I had a huge huge huge crush on nick carter and dave moffatts. My m9m had tupperwate collections, and our platrs were duralex at ung white na may maiden sa gitna at gold sa gilid. I could go on and on. Ang saya nung 90's.i love its music and fashion. Grew up to g-mik and patrick garcia was my bias. Hahaha
Hahaha.
I was born in 1995 pero may naaalala ako from 1998-1999 ng very light tuwing nakikita photos and oñd commercial. So i think im a late 90s and early 2000s kid
Batang 90s here, born in '82. May social media na ngayon no, everything is magnified.
Isn't that a big deal?
Well madali nga maoffend mga bata ngayon. Pero Chito, coming from you? Talaga ba? Ikaw pa talaga nagsabi nyan? Eh kayong ngang mag asawa madalas mapikon pag meron kayong di nagustuhang comments from netizens eh.
Parang iba ang pag classify ng generations noon compared to how the term millenials is being defined today. Millenial is a fairly new term - it gained popularity nung mga mid to late 00s na kaya marami siguro nag assume na millenial ka kung year 2000 onwards ka pinanganak. Before the word came to be Gen Z talaga ang tawag sa youngest generation noon. I was born in 1989 and tanda ko noon sa articles na nababasa ko nung 90s generation X pa tawag sa young adults at adults nung time na yun. The kids and young teenagers, meanwhile, are dubbed as gen Y or Z depende dun sa trip nung writer. 😂
Batang 90’s and millenials are or can be the same. Millenials can also be batang 90s na working young adults na ngayon. Yung mga teenagers ngayon will have a different generation named after them once their age rules the working class + work force.
Maganda yun kanta.
Dami nyong alam! Lahat naman ng generation annoyed sa generation after them. Sa school nga diba, ang mga juniors look up to seniors but hate sophomores. Lahat tayo gusto maging best. The truth is, every generation has its best and worst traits, so deal with it at wag ng magcompare! Mind your own life instead of arguing who’s better mga isip bata.
Well, batang 90's ka if you spent most of these stages of your life, middle childhood to adolescence(6-20 yrs) mo sa decade na yun. Not sure of Chito's age but he may have spent these stages of his life in both the 80's and 90's so he can identify with both. In fact, mas memorable pa nga ang adolescence mo(12-20 yrs), compared sa middle at late childhood, kaya mas nakakaidentify siya sa 90's more than the 80's.
Batang 90s din ako, born in '82. Every generation is different, wag feeling superior
I was born 1982 and I find this particular song offensive, not just for me but for every woman in general. Ayaw ko ng pinapatugtog nya yan as well as dont touch my birdie and cooking ng ina mo
So inokray nila to sort of put her in her place. Just asking.
Kahit ano pang generation ka, death is inevitable, kaya habang may buhay ienjoy na lang yon life. Naalala ko tuloy yon kanta na "paglisan"...tanging pabaon ko ay pagibig, at sa future gens, sana maalala pa din nila tayo, kasi may time na we ruled the world.
Born 1980 here. I was an 18 yr old college kid when Silvertoes was released. Pag gimik sa bahay or boarding house ng barkada, me and my friends just giggled, sang along over beer and simpleng pulutan, blasting PNE, eheads, pati introvoys songs. Not to sound like I'm patronizing a bad habit, but as kids back then, you sing along not because you're bullying or offending a certain person but bec you feel PNE's inis and gigil dun sa person ng Silvertoes at super aliw lang. We don't read too much into stuff like those back then. Tapos isipin namin uy masama ka kasi you used these words, you're offensive etc. Their material isn't something you call out or scrutinize or put too much meaning then. Soundtrip lang talaga. Kutis champorado wasn't offensive back then. Nung time namin, tawanan pa kami na "uy ikaw yun ah!" Walang na ooffend. Fun times. Nakakamiss.
Magsitigil kayo! 80’s was the best. The soundtrack, movies, tv series, economy, it was all fun back then and the music in the 80s oh my god... simply the best
I beg to disagree! 90's is the best decade to grow up in, sige, mas maganda na music during 80's but movies, fashion, tv and economy were better nung 90's.
I was born in '80, just a few yrs later than Chito (he was born in '77) at ako ay batang 80s.
Haba. Anyway, 1987 ako and I'm a 90s kid. Tapos!
ReplyDeleteAng tanong is ano susunod sa Gen-Z e last letter na yun ng alphabet? Babalik ba sa Gen-A o mag-iimbento ng Gen-AA? Hahahahaha!

Deletebatang 90's here too. kakasura talaga mga kabataan ngayon!
DeleteLet’s not be too technical, I’m not discounting his ideas pwede naman yun pero kase uso na ngayon ang identify and sense of belongingness. I was born late 80’s pero I really love everything about 80’s music, tv and films. I’m an 80’s kid trapped in the millenial loop.
ReplyDeleteYup you are a millenial who happen to like 80s pop culture but it doesn't mean you belong to that generation. It doesn't start and end there. You didn't grow up with martial law rules in the background, the US Russia cold war. We went to school and came of age without the help of the internet, etc. Experiences shaped each generation differently, not to mention that each generation were raised and governed by people from another generation.
DeleteGinaya at tinagalog pa kasi yung Generation 80s, 90s, X, Y, Z ng pauso at patrending na Amerika at tayo namang mga BANDWAGONERS e ginawang Batang para tunog atin! So ang magamdang term ngayon is BATANG BANDWAGONERS!
Delete7:42 say what you want pero you will never take away my happiness and belongingness to that generation. Manigas ka jan I’m know I’m an 80’s kid at heart.
DeleteHoy, 12:56! Sus.
DeleteJust like him, many are misusing the term millenial.
ReplyDeleteI was born in 1982, but I don't consider myself a millenial. I consider myself as Gen-X.
ReplyDeleteIt's not like you actually have a choice. Ano yan transgeneration ka? Puhlease
Delete2:58, demographers don't totally agree on the years Gen-X babies were born. It's none of your business if I affiliate with Gen-X based on culture, ethics, and ideologies.
DeleteWhy does it matter though??
DeleteHAHAHAHA! True, 2:58. But there's alo a term 'xennial' or what's also known 'early millenials'. I was born in 1985 and I'm happier to belong to the early millenials. Hehe.
Iba ang trip ng Gen Y or what we call as millenials
Delete12:58 chrew. same age tayo pero pinakikinggan ko nung teenager ako is yung mga hollywood band like red jumpsuit and The calling.
DeleteNagbabasa ka ba kahit konti, anon 1:02! Batang 90s are the Millenials!
ReplyDeleteChito Miranda trying to stay relevant yun lang hehe
DeleteAko din lololol Andami nila time
DeleteSnowflake alert! These kids are so hard to deal with because the adults let them grow up receiving awards and praises for something so normal like complete attendance. Now we’re all being attacked by these entitled fools.
ReplyDeleteLol ngayon palang nauso yun patawa ka
DeleteSo... Kasalanan ng last generation?
DeleteLike!
Deletei agree with you anon 1:11. kids back then had it tough. kaya siguro when they became parents, ayaw nila iparanas sa mga anak nila yung "hirap", which is ironic kasi because of those, tumibay tayo sa buhay.
DeleteBorn in 1991 and consider myself batang 90s, paki nyo ba! 😂
ReplyDeletesame! are we being discredited here? lol kasi lumaki at mulat ako sa music ng pne! pero parang di ako sinali sa bracket niya! dapat ba maoffend ako?? charot!!
DeleteHaha same!! 1991 baby and naging batang 90s din naman kahit papaano.
Delete91 baby and batang 90s here. hahaha lumaki ako sa kanta ng Eheads, Rivermaya, Parokya sa cassette tape. Piko, Teks, Jolens. sarap balikan!
DeleteHahaha. Until now pag may mga get together, inuman and videoke sesh. Hindi nawawala yung kantang yan. Hindi din naman kami na offend.
DeleteKaloka.
Eto na lang para mas madaling intindihin, ako mahilig sa all things japanese (jpop culture, anime, jpop music, japanese food) but that doesn't make me Japanese, does it?
Deletehahaha same here. nakipagtalo ako about sa gender ni nick. ilove bsb. ilovenick
DeleteBsb, westlife and nsync! I was born in 1995
DeleteI used to love kevin richardson lol
DeleteExactly!
Delete-90's kid born in 1984
And lahat ng spice girls trans 🤦🏻♀️ Hahaha
DeleteHahahaha! Omg, yes, anon 10:54! I remember that chismis! Hahaha
I was born in 1988.
Ako rin batang 90s...and millennial... State of mind na generation hindi year of birth
Delete1:42 and everyone who disagreed with my comment: Naintindihan ko po fully ang sinabi ni Chito. Yes, he did apologize.
DeleteAccording to Pew Research Center: Millennials are people born between 1981-1996
ReplyDeletevery good. somebody did a research!
Deleteif you really want to prove a point, ganito dapat, take words from legit sources who identifies the technical terms for it. I hate to admit it, but based on my year of birth I am a Millennial, but in my mind I feel I belong to Gen X kasi mas relate ako sa kanila
Gen X Millennial
DeleteI was born during the 80s pero hindi ako millenial!
ReplyDeleteSorry baks millenial simply means you were born in that era: 80's to 90's.
DeleteLOL! Anon 1:37. Millenial ka and that's a fact. Millenial is otherwise known as Generation Y, it is a term coined for people born between 1982-1996. Another name for a generation ang 'millenial'. Hindi ugali or characteristic ang 'millenial'!
DeleteAng petty naman ng discussion. Hello? Lahat ng generation may SENSITIVE. Oks na? _1992 at batang 90s ako. Tapos!
ReplyDeleteYes and they are the most racist of all! Even to themselves to the point that they change themselves drastically to look more Western. Also, there’s too many cultural misappropriations in their music videos.
DeleteI'm impressed with how level headed and calm he was in answering the bashers. But if asawa na niya yan... Might have ended differently. Chito is very intelligent
ReplyDeleteIsang malaking LOL
DeleteTrue.. Pero dahil mga haters at butthurt.. Di pa rin nila gets si chito..
DeleteLol halata naman na napikon na rin Chito but pretends to be chill. Lahat ba naman nireplayan hehe
DeleteIm born in 1984,certifief batang 90's where i enjoyed playing lastiko, dampa, shatong, taguan, langit lupa, pogs, text, lutuan gamit dahon at lata ng sardinas, bahay bahayan, tundahan at dahom ang perang pambayad. Hahaha
Hahaha.
Awwww! Those were the simpler but happy days, 3:13. ♥
ReplyDeleteI was born in 1995 pero may naaalala ako from 1998-1999 ng very light tuwing nakikita photos and oñd commercial. So i think im a late 90s and early 2000s kid
ReplyDeleteBatang 90s here, born in '82. May social media na ngayon no, everything is magnified.
Isn't that a big deal?
DeleteUghh all this nonsense boils down to kung sinong mas magaling.
Pero Chito, coming from you? Talaga ba? Ikaw pa talaga nagsabi nyan? Eh kayong ngang mag asawa madalas mapikon pag meron kayong di nagustuhang comments from netizens eh.
ReplyDeleteParang iba ang pag classify ng generations noon compared to how the term millenials is being defined today. 😂
ReplyDeleteBatang 90’s and millenials are or can be the same. Millenials can also be batang 90s na working young adults na ngayon. Yung mga teenagers ngayon will have a different generation named after them once their age rules the working class + work force.
I have a high school crush, tinanong ko sya kung anong kanya nya Para sakin, sabi nya silvertoes. Deadma lang. Hahaha. But that was 2004.
Maganda yun kanta.
ReplyDeleteThis!
DeleteDami nyong alam!
ReplyDeletetama naman ang mga pinagsasabi ni Chito.
ReplyDeleteBatang 90s daw, mga TEENAGERS AT COLLEGE KIDS? Please lang. Kailan naging bata ang teenagers at nasa college?
ReplyDeleteIm glad na 90s kid ako. But let's not use it to put other generations down.
Truth. Chito is obviously a batang 80s and thats fine. I dont know why he needs to insist na batang 90s sya eh ang tanda nya na nung 90s.
DeleteWell, batang 90's ka if you spent most of these stages of your life, middle childhood to adolescence(6-20 yrs) mo sa decade na yun.
Who cares about those generation titles?
ReplyDeleteBatang 90s din ako, born in '82. Every generation is different, wag feeling superior
ReplyDeleteI agree and like you batang 90s din ako
DeleteI was born 1982 and I find this particular song offensive, not just for me but for every woman in general. Ayaw ko ng pinapatugtog nya yan as well as dont touch my birdie and cooking ng ina mo
Picha pie, mr. Suave, mang jose too name a few
So inokray nila to sort of put her in her place. Just asking.
DeleteKahit ano pang generation ka, death is inevitable, kaya habang may buhay ienjoy na lang yon life. Naalala ko tuloy yon kanta na "paglisan"...tanging pabaon ko ay pagibig, at sa future gens, sana maalala pa din nila tayo, kasi may time na we ruled the world.
ReplyDeleteBorn 1980 here. Fun times. Nakakamiss.
ReplyDeleteMagsitigil kayo! 80’s was the best. The soundtrack, movies, tv series, economy, it was all fun back then and the music in the 80s oh my god... simply the best
ReplyDeleteI beg to disagree! 90's is the best decade to grow up in, sige, mas maganda na music during 80's but movies, fashion, tv and economy were better nung 90's.
Much ado about nothing.
Generation gap tawag dyan. Panahon ang nagbabago, dont blame it to the kids
Deletei was born on 1986 pero mas gusto ko ang 1950's era
ReplyDeleteI was born in '80, just a few yrs later than Chito (he was born in '77) at ako ay batang 80s.
ReplyDeleteBatang 70s: born 1961-1970 (Gen X-Boomer cusp)
ReplyDeleteBatang 80s: born 1971-1980 (Gen X/Martial law babies)
Batang 90s: born 1981-1990 (Gen Y/Older Millennials)
Batang 00s: born 1991-2000 (Gen Y/Younger Millennials)
Disclaimer: ang mga 1 years ay hybrid ng 2 dekada since kalahati ng kabataan nila ay nasa 2 dekada. So kung ikaw ay pinanganak nung 1981, ikaw ay 80s-90s kid kasi bata ka mula nung '86 to '93 (4 yrs ng 80s at 4 yrs ng 90s) so halos 50-50 ka. Hindi counted ang first 4 years kasi wala ka pang kamalay-malay nung mga panahong iyon at hindi mo pa maeenjoy ang buhay mo.
