Disappearing Act

Network Actor (NA) has always been known for being a hard worker in his profession and non-showbiz commitments. Thus, over the years, NA has made a name for himself and established a reputation in his areas of involvement outside of his showbiz world.

As for his love life, he cannot seem to detach himself from a playboy image, which contradicts his strong attachment to his partners in real life. Often, he gets misjudged, but his partners know the truth, anyway.

While NA seems to be perfect, his friends noticed a peculiar trait that makes him different from other celebrities. With the pandemic testing the generosity of celebrities and most of them are delivering services and goods to the ones who need most, people who know NA would rather not approach him for any help. They already know how NA would react and his response would only bring disappointment.

Incidents, such as NA being asked if he could donate to a cause, for instance, a thousand pesos, would not generate the expected response. For most celebrities, a thousand pesos would be a no-brainer and one would predictably expect the bringing out of a bill or more. In the case of NA, he would find an excuse and disappear from the gathering. Sometimes, he would say he does not do online banking. The ones who are asking often get the hint and never press NA for any monetary contribution, as they might get an unexpected verbal response.
