Silence can be deafening. When celebrities remain quiet over certain issues, fans anticipate that the response might suddenly be overwhelming. Nonetheless, they express undying support and assure such celebrities in the midst of intrigue their unwavering loyalty.
Sometime ago, a few instances indicated that the way to please fans is to make them anticipate something to keep their interest. Thus, unknown male and female talents are paired to find out if the pairing could result in a surprising success. While some partnerships fail, others actually deliver the goods.
Such strategy was implemented by a management, which ordered Male Celebrity (MC) to “court” Female Celebrity (FC) to make the fans interested and hope that they would become a real couple. As MC and FC became a successful partnership, their camps realized that their fame came from being together. Their looks complemented each other, which made them well-liked as well. What was not anticipated was that the two would indeed become real.
While their relationship continued, MC and FC had successful careers as a partnership. Things, however, did not last long enough and the two had to make career changes. One of these changes left the camp of FC out in the cold. MC decided on a matter that FC’s camp seemed to be not liking given the implications on FC’s career.
When FC was confronted if she knew about the career moves of MC, she allegedly said that MC was not really aware of the latest project. FC said that the project, which excluded her, was a surprise to MC by his handlers. By contrast, the behind-the-scene story was different. Allegedly, the camp of FC was not really informed of the project during its planning because MC's camp and handlers knew FC and her camp might not agree. Thus, only when things were completely ironed out, did they present the future project of MC and FC could not say anything anymore.
The camp of FC is not taking the bypass hook, line, and sinker. They feel that MC was quite selfish in his decision. While he was bound to earn much, he did not think of the welfare of FC. As long as he was earning, unsuccessful strategies in the career of FC did not bother him at all. The camp of FC thinks that MC found a way to control FC. As MC would be earning more, he can make FC financially dependent on him. Thus, fans are wondering if MC has indeed managed to keep FC from reacting in social media and they hope that she makes a comeback soon.
‘In our personal and professional lives, we are constantly hit with one adversity after the other, most of which we have no control over. But the four things we have total control over is how we react, how we adapt, how we breathe, and how we take action.’ – Diamond Dallas Page

Repost: Congresswoman Vilma Santos Pushes for Franchise Renewal of ABS-CBN
Source: www.newsinfo.inquirer.net
Time is running out on the broadcasting license of ABS-CBN, but the House legislative franchise panel has not tabled any of the six bills that may save the TV giant from closing shop next year.
Deputy Speaker Vilma Santos-Recto, a movie actress, known as Ate Vi, who has worked with the network, is hoping her colleagues would finally begin discussions on the measure renewing ABS-CBN’s 25-year franchise, which expires on March 30, 2020.
No deliberations since July
“Considering that we are in recess, I hope that when we go back this November, this will be subject for deliberation by the committee,” the Batangas representative told the Inquirer on Sunday.
Recto, one of the authors of the ABS-CBN franchise bills, said the measure was still “pending” in the committee chaired by Palawan Rep. Franz Alvarez since the 18th Congress opened in July.
“Just for the record, last 17th Congress, the same [was not] tackled by the committee,” the congresswoman said in a text message.
Alvarez was also the chair of the panel in the last Congress.
He did not reply to the Inquirer when sought for comment.
Besides Recto, at least five other influential lawmakers have filed their version of the bill, including another deputy speaker, Pangasinan Rep. Rose Marie Arenas, along with Laguna Rep. Sol Aragones, Nueva Ecija Rep. Micaela Violago, PBA Rep. Jericho Nograles and Parañaque Rep. Joy Myra Tambunting.
In filing House Bill No. 4305, Recto noted ABS-CBN’s stature as the “Philippines’ largest entertainment and media conglomerate.”
“ABS-CBN has remained steadfast in its commitment to reach out to as many Filipinos as possible by delivering their quality core programs closer to our countrymen by taking advantage of emerging broadcast technologies,” she said.
The cause of delay
In the previous Congress, a similar measure was sidelined in Congress as President Duterte launched repeated verbal attacks against the media network due to perceived slights and its allegedly slanted reporting.
Lawmakers took no action on the bill, which had been left pending in the House legislative franchises committee since November 2016.
In August, Majority Leader Martin Romualdez refused to make any commitments on whether the bill would be prioritized.
“I believe it’s premature to comment on that as we’re still in the early stages,” he said.
Congress is currently on a break and will resume session on Nov. 4.

Loud Notification
After building up her career and receiving worthwhile projects from Her Handlers (HH), Multifaceted Celebrity (MC) suddenly seems to be left out in the cold. MC has not announced any major project in the offing and her fans are starting to miss her. Meanwhile, someone whose career shone simultaneously as hers is moving as though leaving MC alone on her own path.
The turn of events has allegedly disappointed MC as well. When a project did not do well as expected, HH gave her another risky project. Although critically acclaimed, the project that was headed by MC was not well supported by fans. Instead of stopping the bleeding and reviewing strategies on how to raise her back, HH made MC do a project that did not have as much star quality. The pressure to carry a movie on her shoulder was daunting. As expected, the project did not do well.
Frustrated, MC allegedly lost the zest to do projects again. She has not shown interest in doing a daily show nor another movie for that matter. Hence, MC seems to be out of the limelight and accusations against HH are building up in the grapevine.
Allegedly, MC is a victim of management politics. Someone among HH is not fond of MC. Hence, her assignments seemed to be off. Another accusation is that if HH is indeed not fond of a talent, then that talent’s career can be sabotaged. Moreover, if a talent is not someone who does expected thoughtfulness gestures, such as giving overwhelming gifts, then that talent might not rise up the ladder.
Such developments have reached Bothered Personality (BP), who is worried over how MC might react to the plateauing of her career. Signs of depression might be there and BP has to show concern double time. Hence, the posts in social media are allegedly wakeup calls for people who have been frustrating the rise of MC.
‘Sometimes it takes a wake-up call, doesn't it, to alert us to the fact that we're hurrying through our lives instead of actually living them; that we're living the fast life instead of the good life. And I think, for many people, that wake-up call takes the form of an illness.’ – Carl Honore
