A Troubled Affair

Arrogance and pride are two of the great sins that often lead to the downfall of many. While celebrities can be arrogant and proud, some have done more good deeds such that their attitude can be tolerated and people just turn a blind eye. By contrast, most young celebrities who opted to show their negative character early in their career could only watch as their work goes down the drain. The industry is unkind to arrogant young talents who have not really contributed much to the industry.

Sometime ago, Network Personality (NP) made a decision that any ordinary observer would already know was the signal of the end of his career. No one in the business who had such gall as NP towards his network would retain his status. NP failed to listen to seasoned stars, who always stressed that a secret to their long-lasting career is that they never burned, nor attempted to, any bridges. In the case of NP, he became impatient and did not hesitate to show this attitude through his actions.

Unfortunately, things did not work out as NP had expected. His decision led to a dead end, and he lost his luster, as audiences do not like ungrateful people. Without a career, financial troubles began to set in. His savings were reaching critical levels and he needed to act fast. Thus, he approached Cute Relations (CR), who was in a good position to ask for help from a Powerful Insider (PI). NP was banking on the alleged special relationship between CR and PI, but he was disappointed. PI advised NP to stay put, as the right role, which is obviously not going to be a lead one, was still being sought. Rumors have it that NP offered to cut his hefty talent fee just for him to join CR. However, NP forgot that except for his name, he has nothing new to offer the network.

On the one hand, things seem bleak, as NP has allegedly discovered vices, and might be indulging a bit too much in gambling, which could also explain his need to work and bargain his talent. Then, his family is about to grow, and he is not financially stable to support the Love of his Life (LL). Worse, NP still owes a hefty sum of money to complete the price of an investment that he bought years ago. Luckily, the seller is a kind soul, but kindness has limitations, as well.

On the other hand, NP used to be beset with indecent proposals. Although his market value might have been affected by his relationships, NP had to make calls to these formerly interested parties. The rejections were more than what NP had expected. Thus, NP had to make another decision. Allegedly, NP has secretly been seeking the help of an Earlier Benefactor (EB), and his family might be unaware that he has gone back to his old ways. EB has always been supportive of NP, and was rumored to be helping him financially before, and perhaps, even now. Things have to be kept secretly, as the family of LL would definitely not want LL to be involved with someone who has on the side relations.
