Make-up Free Models Walk for Marc Jacobs at NY Fashion Week

It is almost unusual to see models walk the runway without those heavy mascara, bedazzling eyes and full plump lips on the runway, but at the New York Fashion Week on September 11, designer Marc Jacobs opted for something different by showing his spring/summer collection with a parade of makeup-free models.

Braving the bare face look, the models, including the A-lister Kendall Jenner and Victoria’s Secret angels Adriana Lima and Karlie Kloss strutted on the catwalk wearing military-inspired ensembles. All of the models sported a punk rock bowl cuts.

Francois Nars, the official makeup artist of NYFW, said it was the easiest job ever. Not even a lip balm was involved during the styling.

"This goes back to one of the looks that I’ve always loved — bare skin, nothing on the face, lips or eye, just beautiful skin," he added.

All companies have policies and procedures that establish the rules of conduct within the organization - guidelines specifying the responsibilities, as well as the rights and business interests of both employees and employers. Various policies and procedures specify employee conduct, attendance, dress code, privacy and other areas related to the terms and conditions of employment.

Conduct policies serve as a guideline for appropriate employee behavior, and also outline the procedures employers may utilize to discipline inappropriate behavior. Rules apply to all - from the janitor to the big boss in the organization.

A network Talent and Executive TE made a rather hasty and bold decision that surprised her followers. TE tried to justify her move saying that her length of stay with the network had already given her so much and it was about time to pass on the torch to the younger ones. Yet, little did we know that there was actually something more than meets the eye.

Reportedly it stemmed from a misunderstanding TE had with the network Top Brass TB. Allegedly, the story was that TB dropped by TE’s office one day. To his horror, TB saw TE in the most uncompromising situation - doing PDA with her girlfriend, who was also known to TB.

The sight of them together reportedly threw off TB that prompted him to say to TE, “ Not here, please. Be decent. Our boss is very conservative and he would not surely like this. ”

TE, who was herself surprised by what happened, was taken aback and took offense at TB’s remark. She believed that it was just too much to say to her. That incident was allegedly the reason for the hasty decision.

TE’s bold move reportedly jolted TB - he was not prepared for it that he prevented her as much as he could. Too bad, TE was already set.

The typical Filipino family culture means tight bonding and closeness among its members. Most Filipinos are wired to care, support and look after their aging relatives as a way of showing appreciation and gratitude for all the love and care afforded them when they were young.

Young and old, rich and poor, educated or not - we try as best as we can to support our family.That is how Filipinos have become unique in the eyes of the world – our innate and caring nature. Although sometimes, these traits are sometimes subject to abuse - by the relatives themselves. And there are many of such parents in showbiz.

Talented Performer TP comes from a large, not well-to-do family - and early on, TP became his family’s breadwinner. Through his winnings in talent competitions, TP was able to help his family until he made it big in a major competition where he was one of the major winners. Expectedly, his family’s lifestyle leveled up as well. But as everyone knows, nothing is certain in showbiz, and that TP’s talent alone was no guarantee of stable projects.

Nonetheless, the determined TP tried everything to provide for his parents and siblings. But his diminished income on lean days (which were a LOT) proved to be a challenge for him as his family has gotten used to an upgraded lifestyle. One of His Relatives HR notably, had become high-maintenance in habits and lifestyle. Without knowing how to live within their limited means, HR allegedly resorted to borrowing money.

In the beginning, HR’s borrowings were still manageable and TP could still pay for them. But when TP’s finances got drained, HR, instead of moderating her spending, chose not to. It was then that they began having trouble as HR, capitalizing on TP’s name, just kept borrowing – large sums at that.

HR reportedly became TP’s dilemma, he was so stressed by her and the task of supporting a huge family at a time when he was always wanting in projects. It was allegedly during this point that a very Good Friend GF of TP became his shoulder to cry on. GF was also present during the time when TP broke up with his former lover.

Meanwhile, HR’s borrowing reached its tipping point when HR could no longer pay her lenders. Friends and family reportedly remarked that HR was to be blamed for everything. HR was accused as a trying hard socialite – frequently seen shopping till she dropped, often bragging to people that celebrity relative TP would take care of everything.

With her repeated failure to settle her huge debt, HR’s lenders gave her what she deserved – a lesson she will never forget.

Charice Pempengco Finally Reconciles with Mom

All's well that ends well between singer Charice and her mother Raquel.

In her official Instagram account on Wednesday night, Charice posted a photo of her and her family with her girlfriend Alyssa Qujano.

"Monthsary celebration with family. (Also for the people who doubted and thought we wouldn't be okay. Screw you all. Now please shut up, move on and let us live our lives as one happy family.)," Charice wrote in the caption.

Charice's rift with her mother started more than a year ago when she came out as a lesbian on national TV.

Her mother also expressed her disappointment with her daughter's relationship with fellow singer Quijano.

But Charice has always tried to reach out to her mother. Last July, the singer even had her mother's name tattooed on her right wrist.

Jodi Sta. Maria shrugged off comments about her outfit to last weekend's Star Magic Ball, with some fashion critics placing her on their list of worst dressed celebrities.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News’ Mario Dumaual on Wednesday, Sta. Maria said it was her personal choice to wear a suit to the ball this year.

“It’s okay. I don’t mind. As long as naging komportable naman ako sa sinuot ko and happy naman ako sa suit na ginawa ni Joey Samson. Kung may mga tao na hindi nagkagusto, okay lang kasi opinyon naman nila 'yun eh,” she said.

Although some fashion observers found the androgynous look too drastic, Sta. Maria said what’s important is that she she was happy about her outfit.

“It was actually my idea na mag-suit. Basta sinabi lang namin na old Hollywood and we trust naman Joey Samson bilang batikan na designer. Maganda din and magaling ang kanyang work. Hinayaan namin siya sa sarili niyang rendition ng outfit,” she said.

“I don’t mind. Okay lang sa akin. Ang importante is naging masaya ako sa sinuot ko. Alam ko naman na hindi ko naman mapi-please ang lahat,” she added.

Sta. Maria said she felt the need to change her red-carpet style because for the past eight years, she has been wearing long gowns to the Star Magic Ball.
