Halt the Tantrums

Social media apps are recognized in their capability of forming an image of the owner. To add visibility mileage, many personalities in politics and showbiz have resorted to having accounts. The number of followers has even become the basis for endorsement posts as well.

On the one hand, posts can portray the good and beauty in the life of the celebrity. Followers can praise or express admiration. On the other hand, posts can be rants and the followers are treated to negativity. When followers start engaging the negative post, the debate can be unhealthy for the image of the celebrity and his/her connections.

When Influential Employee (IE) used social media to air sentiments, many were not at all amused. IE’s posts hurt the image of the company and its projects. The words did not sit well with the bosses and media buyers were not impressed at how IE worded her issues.

The bosses allegedly warned IE to manage her ire and stop throwing tantrums in social media if things do not turn out as expected. The warning had certain implications, such as the possibility of new people doing the work that IE has been used to. Hence, IE needed to sanitize her social media walls.
