    1. 2014 and 2016 Congress, panahon pa pala to ni Aquino pero kay Duterte kayo galit. Hahahahaha ano ba to? Kasi wrong interpretation of the law. Inday Karen, before you try to save face, make sure you don’t mislead people as you and your mother company do best.

      Delete
    3. 2:28 If nag grant ng renewal for ABS that time, BEFORE ANY OTHER MEDIA NETWORK NA MAS MALAPIT NA MAG EXPIRE sasabihin niyo naman na dilawan talaga ang ABS. Dyusko.

At basahin mo nakasulat. Puro ka kuda na sundin ang Law pero u can't refute what she posted.

      Delete
    4. 2:28 ABS retracted their application in 2014 because Congress was near closing that time. That gave them the chance to work out the kinks for their use of DTV

      Delete
Kalowka! Probinsyano pa more!

Parang ganito lang yan, yung cousin ko owns a kfc franchise and under that franchise, she has 3 branches/locations. Same applies here, one franchise can have many channels.

    1. Free air kasi ang franchise nila According to Fictap. Hindi issue sa Fictap yung mga channels nila like ANC, MYX, S&A dahil freetv yun. Ang issue nila e yung mga me bayad na under sa freeair franchise.

      Delete
    2. 1:32 at resolved na yun. P200 lang ang fine nun sa pagkakaalam ko.

      Delete
    3. FICTAP has NO jurisdiction over this at all, there's just a competitor wiped out na nagbibiterella. NTC permitted ABSCBN to operate those channels, so hindi ko makita kung bakit ito ang pinagpipilitan nyong violation.

      Delete
Parang it doesnt sound right.

      Delete
    5. MALI ka @12:56. Usually when you have 3 stores it means you have 3 franchises = 3x ka nag pay ng franchise fee. Nag example ka pa, Mali naman. TOINKS!

      Delete
Yung frequency pwede magamit using new technology na magkaroon ng multiple channels. Ganun din naman sa ibang media na may franchise, one frequency can have multiple channels, baka di lang nila nagagamit kasi kulang sila sa implementation ng bagong technology. Kaya as per senate hearing, they are legally allowed to have multiple channels.

  3. May CDO for the Pacquiao-Mayweather pay per view but ABS proceeded anyway bec it was already sold. So ABS defied NTC orders and justifies it as being pro-consumer. Ang galing din magpaikot. Smacks arrogance and defies the govt's order.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Because it would breach a lot of contract since ikaw na rin nagsabi, it was already sold. Parang lumalabas, di alam ng abs ahead of selling the fight na di pala pwede. NTC and ABS should've made an agreement and monetary penalty instead since it was already after the fact na sold na. Contracts are a serious thing. That's not arrogance, it looked more like inipit talaga nila ABS dito.

      Delete
    2. my thoughts exactly! sabi nang bawal, nag-go lang.akala kasi walang papalag sakanila. tamang trato sa mga empleyado at pagsunod sa batas. kahit pa pro-consumer, kung illegal - illegal. Sino sila para lumabag sa CDO?

      Delete
    3. DOJ said its not in violation nga of franchise to show ppv. Parang nangigipit nga ang ntc by pulling this last minute.

      Delete
    4. Basta Pro-Consumer Genuine News! Real News pag nagviolate sila for Pro-Consumers sake!

      Delete
    5. 1:16 Ignorance of the law on the part of ABS? If so, it doesn't excuse them.

      Delete
Sino me last say?

      Delete
    7. 1:39 Can you please show where this law that you're talking about is? Ang basis ng NTC is a vague rule which by the way is NOT a law. Department of Justice already testified in senate na allowed ang pay per view sa franchise.

      Delete
    8. 1:16 hindi alam ng abs? So honest mistake na nagpabayad sila? Ilang beses sila nagpa-pay per view. So nkakalimutan nila each time na hindi pala sila dapat maningil? Kung one time lng sila nagpabayad, baka pwede pako maniwala na honest mistake.

      Delete
    9. 1:39 anong law pinagsasasabi mo dyan? walang batas na nagbabawal magpalabas ng pay per view

      Delete

      Delete
    12. @2:12 walang mistake in the first place kasi wala namang batas at wala ding rules ang ntc na nagbabawal magpabayad sa pay per view according to doj

      Delete
  4. Per FICTAP, the rule for their kind of franchise is one channel per franchise.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Something's up when FICTAP just complained about that just now. They can't change the rules just when it aligns their agenda. And the congress seems to be a big problem too. Tinamad or they want something in exchange siguro.

      Delete
It’s not 1 franchise = 1 channel. It’s 1 franchise = 1 frequency and this frequency can be used for multiple channels.

      Delete
    3. It should be is one frequency per franchise. And with digital technology, this frequency can hold several channels. ABS just maximized it.

      Delete
1 frequency can have upto 8 sdtv channels.

      Delete
    5. Jinustify pa using the technology? Ano ba sabi sa batas? Simple. Airtight yung batas so kahit anong ipalusot about frequency and technology, still a violation of law.

      Delete
    6. 1 franchise = 1 frequency (could have multiple channels)

      Delete
    7. Ngawa nang ngawa lang ang FICTAP kasi nalulugi na ang cable companies due to people choosing digital TV boxes na one-time payment lang

      Delete

  6. abs is renewing the franchise on the FREQUENCY owned by the STATE. during the kopong kopong days na ANALOG TRANSMISSION lang meron tayo, 1 channel per frequency lang ang pede at kaya ng bandwidth, but hello, as abs transitioned from analog to DIGITAL TRANSMISSION, they were able to efficiently use the same 1 FREQUENCY on 4-6 additional channels, and that my friends is the real issue, please forget FICTAP's argument. So ano ulet ang issue? FRANCHISE RENEWAL FOR THE FREQUENCY, THE SAME FREQUENCY NA GINAGAMIT SINCE 1995.

    ReplyDelete

    1. One frequency unlimited channels under free to air franchise. So walang me bayad dapat. Unless cable yan.

      Delete
    2. 1:47 cyst as per ntc walang rule na ganun. Sinangayunan din ng doj

      Delete
    3. Noon pa man, marami na talagang channels sa 2, like Myx, Studio 23,etc. About KBO, di naman sapilitan yun e,if want NG tao ang magbayad, then I think, di Yun paglabag sa batas.

      Delete
    4. 1.47 yong ads free ba? hindi! so diyan nagkakaproblema. tama si 1.21 that's the real issue here.

      Delete

The letter "s" makes a big different in the word channel. Though 1 frequency can hold more channels, ang franchise nila is only good for 1 channel pero ginagamit nila ang said frequency to operate more channels w/c is a violation ng franchise nila.

      Delete
    7. ABS CBN's attention should have been called upon to their violation from the start so they can rectify it. Was there any? If yes, and still continued, then their franchise should not really be renewed for flagrant violation of the law.

      Delete
    8. 1:42 How is that violation eh wala namang pinagbabawal. Nag rent sila ng frequency, namaximize nila within the rules/law. Lmao

      Delete
  7. 2014 nag-file si Aggabao ng bill to renew the franchise.

  8. Kudos to Karen for posting data that can be validated. Hindi yun puro drama about the employees and press freedom.

      Delete
    2. And this is why I side with abs cbn in this case because they are not violating any law and yet the government railroaded them to this point. There are obviously some shady people with questionable intentions/agenda machinating things behind the scenes.

      Delete
    3. Yes they did . Kaya nga nag off air diba . Pero ang congresso anong ginawa ? Wala diba .. nakatengga lang yan ng matagal

      Delete

      Delete
    5. Respect the law? Which law? According to Salceda, ABS-CBN complied. Everything is in perfect order. So which law was being violated? Alam naman nating lahat this is just a simple case of kotong time.

      Delete
    6. Yes Law is Law provided it was not abused, manipulated or controlled by certain people who are in power. May ngmanipula, hinayaang matengga ung application ng prangkisa. Wala ngang nakitang violations diba, at kung meron man edi sana nereject na ung application so that abs can amend and re-apply according to what the congress' set of rules

      Delete
    7. Ano bang law pinagsasasabi mo? baguhin nyo naman script nyo baks.

      Delete
  13. Hay naku, at least she can rest her voice na. Kasi she sounds like she is losing her voice na e.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Well that’s why hirap sila mag renew. Ang application nila is for digital but the law was made for analog. Sino ang magaadjust? Ang batas o sila? GMA complied with the law Kaya no problem with their renewal.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The law is not made for analog. Walang batas ang switching from analog to digital.

      Delete
    2. 2.30 No. It's not about frequency, it's about the name of the company listed as grantee in the franchise contract. In the said contract, the grantee is ABSCBN Broadcasting Corporation wala ng iba. If they want to renew it dapat yun lang ang nilagay nila; dapat hindi sila nagdagdag ng ibang name dahil usufruct yun at illegal yun under Sec. 11 of REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7966.

      Delete
  15. Exactly then the government should have told them if you want your franchise renewed, pay the penalty and comply. What they did was delay the congress hearing inabot Na ng covid. Since they are the reason for delay dapat nag issue sila ng temporary license. I am sure abs would have paid any amount of penalty just to renew the franchise.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  17. Haha. Defensive.

  18. Dun ako sa "congress did not act on" them since this issue was last 2014 onwards pa. What do you mean by that? kse ako ah i'll use the same logic sa work ko. Di lang isang follow-up email ginagawa ko, email, tawag, personal contact if hindi ako pinapansin. Dba i mean?? Kaya cge yun lang gsto ko sana elaborate nila panung did not act on this? I wont let them not to work on it. Kailangan makulit ka tlga ugaling pinoy yan noh, anung bago!So what made ABS CBN let the congress not work on it?? SO yun dpt masagot po yan.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies

Naging masyado din silang greedy at the expense of their employees. Ginagawa nilang masama ang FICTAP at NTC for doing their jobs, when abscbn and Congress ang dapat na accountable talaga dito. Haha

    3. Hi 11:08am, if ABS is able to provide better and affordable services with their black box and other channels, di ba panalo tayong mga consumers?

      Delete
    4. 4:37 it’s about anti-monopoly. The more players the better. It’s not good for consumers na isa Lang ang Source of news and entertainment nila. GMAalso has black box but they only offer GMAand GMA news.

      Delete
