    1. 1:06 they called it a test run. kung naging honest sila na yun na yun walang magrereklamo ngayon. may mga nagpunta on the day ng opening thinking it was live, so sana may pasabi sila sa lahat di ba? pero parang hindi naman nila ia-address to kung walang nakapansin.

      Delete
    2. Those who went to the venue should tell the info na lang if meron or wala.

      Delete
Nag hakot pa nga sila ng mga tao to watch the event. Pampadami din yon for the whole world to see on television or videos.

      Delete

Contingency plan tawag dyan!

    7. Guys, even dubai pre-recorded its palm jumeirah fireworks before. No issue there.

  4. I knew it wasn't live. also knew the cauldron's lighting had nothing to do with the torch they were holding. it barely touched the pole..that was obvious

    1. so what?? does it really matter???

      Delete
    2. lighting of the torch signals the start. yes it was grand and beautiful but it didnt feel authentic. not when the flames did not come from the torch. and who lights a cauldron without looking at the cauldron? it was a big show with the whole shebang pero sana they made it possible na ped i light amg cauldron

  5. Well it is relevant to people who care about the taxes they are paying.

    1. Bakit, nagamit naman ah? Hindi naman siya napabayaan or hindi natapos. I care about the taxes I pay for, pero I don’t find any faults on this petty issue.

    2. Agree. They could have rented or animation na lang. TV shiw lang daw pala eh. Pati mga kumanta halatang lip sync

    1. Totoo. DDS will always be in denial. Pero the cauldron will always be a symbol of corruption.

      Delete
    2. Go check the cauldron, it is always lighted... if for non atheletes and nega like you it means corruption, then it's another thing for athletes... it symbolizes pride for oneself and for the country na matagal na nilang hindi nararanasan sa mga past admin...

      Delete

      Delete
    4. Omg, you are right. 50+ million wasted.

      Delete
    5. 5:50 Totoo ba yan? O sinabi lang ni Cayetano? Pwede bang ma-verify na 63m nga?

      Delete
    6. Pinagsasabi mong pride for the athletes? If they really care about the athletes, dinagdagan nila budget ng mga atleta natin.

I want to unsee

  8. So much hate and negativity at times. Mahirap mag organize. Ang daming detalye. Ang daming situations and scenarios where Murphy’s Law can play out. A lot of people gave all they could of their time and effort for all these. Sana lang those who couldn’t really do any better anyway just stop finding fault. Can’t we just celebrate the wins and learn from a few of the things that may not have been 100% perfect?

    ReplyDelete

    1. The thing is billions and billions of pesos kase ang usapan na budget.

      Delete
    2. You can support and celebrate the wins of our athletes while criticizing the corruption and ineptitude of the organizers (esp. na 8B ang involved na pera). Those two are not mutually exclusive.

      Delete
    3. How can we learn kung ayaw niyo ngang pino-point out yung mali?

      Delete
    4. Well said 1:43am!

      Delete
    5. Inutang pa yang budget na yan ha.

      Delete
    6. Jusko ano ba nag totoong budget? 6.5b, 8b or 11b? May point nman c 143.

      Delete

      Delete
    8. I honestly agree with this, pero sana may accountability sa gobyerno at imbestigahan sana after the games.

      Delete
    9. Dapat I audit yang organizers after the event para magkaalaman na

      Delete
  9. To be fair yung itsura ng cauldron up close mukhang magigiba na if used more than once.

    ReplyDelete
Saan lulugar?

  12. My God! šŸ™„ But I agree na sana imbestigahan yang cauldron na yan. Ang mahal ha.

  13. Ang daming hanash ng mga tao. Sinabi na nga na it's their contingency plan since may bagyo nga kaya they pretaped the lighting of cauldron, mahirap bang intindihin yun?

    ReplyDelete
  14. It’s so odd, supposedly it’s the highlight. and excuse me it’s more than a tv show. What about for the athletes present at the stadium? I feel it’s mainly for them. Imagine this happening in an Olympic opening?

    ReplyDelete
  15. I'm surprised to know walang penalty para sa any host nation kapag hindi live nasindihan ang torch kasi the opening ceremony is really all about that. Priorities, priorities. Sa Pilipinas, entertainment trumps sports talaga.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Maraming kelangan i-audit sa cauldron, bukod sa design and build, dapat icheck especially the money allocated for the gas to keep the fire burning and the tags for audience, basically hindi nagamit so dapat hindi nagastos. Nasa 10M din yun sa budget nila cayetano.

    ReplyDelete
  17. May theft charges pala ito currently. Tapos kinuha na naman to handle a multi billion event.

    ReplyDelete
EH DI WOW! MANGUNSUMI KAYO HAHAHAH!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Lets get some things straight. The cost of the cauldron is still too much.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  21. Palusot nonsense. It’s a live event, dapat live din ang lighting. I have never witnessed any lighting event in the world that is not live with the event. Only in pinas as they say. Hopeless.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Charot. Tingnan mo Beijing Olympics, check mo dun ilang percent ng opening at closing nila prerecorded. Olympics yun ha. Fake fireworks, lipsynching, bunch of other controvesies. Get your ignorance outta here.

    2. Hayyy, so true. You are right.

  22. Hahahahaha...that’s the usual pwede na attitude. It’s embarrassing.

    2. When can people like you understand that shaming your fellow pinoys is shaming yourself and the country? Kala nyo ba your words don't also reflect on YOU?

      Delete
    3. Hmmm, that’s the usual in this country baks. No surprise here.

      Delete
  24. Is the cauldron even lit? It is supposed to be lit 24/7 throughout the game period as per tradition.

    ReplyDelete
  25. That’s a shameless excuse. Not acceptable.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Sayang 55 M. Maraming low cost housing na magagawa nyan. Maganda ang ceremony per nakakain ba yan? Natitirhan ba yan?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Sana naman we can hold our complaints and nitpicking after the games. People need to understand that our atheletes need our support, 100% positivity sana. Every negative we point out, we forget that di lang PHISGOC ang napapahiya, pati po tayo, the entire country. So, sana, let's focus on cheering for our atheletes and let the people at fault take responsibility after the games close. United front sana... Our atheletes are killing it so far pa naman.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. @1:57 PM - the ones at fault will never take responsibility so we should nitpick as the errors are discovered. Like you said, our athletes are killing it. Imagine how better they could have done if they received what should have been theirs for their training, food and equipment instead of these corrupt officials pocketing the taxpayer's money. We nitpick because we care about our athletes and our country, more than our "kahihiyan". True unity and patriotism demand that we put the corrupt and incompetent officials to shame and drive them out of office ASAP regardless if "mapahiya" tayo.

      Delete
    2. Yaaaas! Exactly! As a country, kahit for a few weeks lang can we keep it together for our players? Ang pangit natin tingnan, we're at an international stage tapos tayo-tayo lang nag-bibicker, parang mga bata.

      Delete

    ReplyDelete
  29. It couldve been better definitely. It didn’t feel authentic kasi nga hindi naman totoo yung passing of the torch flame. Parang naputol yung tradition.

Kalokohan.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. 3:19 May nag explain na nito eh. Ang mechanism and works na tinutukoy is yung underground. It is for the safety of everyone.

      Delete
    2. 319 Do you know what it takes to sustain a flame through weeks outdoors on unpredictable weather and without having it blowing up on anyone getting near it? Baka kala mo same mechanism lang yan ng cigarette lighter?

      Delete
  31. Bakit big deal e sa Beijing Olympics, their fireworks were prerecorded and edited din naman to add in special effects? Stop nitpicking, keep it to yourself, make a list and let it out AFTER the games, para naman up ang morale ng athletes natin. Pagkatapos ng games pwede na kayong magrambol.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Not true. The awesome cauldron lighting and fire works were live and legit during the Beijing olympics opening ceremony. They’ve added some taped highlights for the tv viewers lang. Gets mo.

      Delete
  32. OMG get over it! We are grabbing gold medals left and right! Cheer for our players instead of fighting!

    ReplyDelete
  33. That is too ignorant. Torch lighting in the high light of the opening ceremony. That’s the reason why they have very expensive cauldron to begin with.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Irrelevant pala eh why did we spend 50Million on it

    ReplyDelete
  35. You can pre-record everything during the opening ceremony but not the torch lighting. NOT THAT ONE.
