Actor Cha In Ha has passed away.

The police stated that the actor was found dead at his home on December 3, and the cause of death is currently being investigated.

Cha In Ha’s agency Fantagio released the following statement:

"Hello,

This is Fantagio.

We feel devastated to deliver such heartbreaking and unfortunate news.

On December 3, actor Cha In Ha left our sides.

We are truly heartbroken to deliver sad news to everyone who has sent lots of love and support to Cha In Ha until now.

We are filled with grief at this news that is still hard to believe.

We earnestly ask for rumors to not be spread and for speculative reports to not be released in order for his family, who is experiencing greater sadness more than anyone due to the sudden sad news, to send him away peacefully.

As wished by his family, the funeral will be held privately.

We express deep mourning for his passing."

Born in 1992, Cha In Ha debuted in 2017 through the short film “You, Deep Inside of Me” and was a member of Fantagio’s second actor group SURPRISE U. He starred in the web drama “Miss Independent Jieun 2” and television dramas including “Degree of Love,” “Wok of Love,” “Are You Human, Too?,” “Clean with Passion for Now,” and “The Banker.” His newest drama “Love with Flaws” premiered on November 27.

We offer our sincere condolences to Cha In Ha’s family and friends.

Pinanganak kang psychic? All-knowing? Omniscient?

    3. Usually they disclose if the cause of death is not suicide like a medical condition. Pero pag suicide they keep it private. But I maybe wrong. RIP. 🙏

  5. Were these people overworked, were going through a lot of pressure and had no deep connections with people around them? Maybe its time that government agencies investigate/intervene and regulate if there are any unfair or inhumane practices in their entertainment industry.

    1. Mataas ang pressure sa Korea to keep up. Isang pagkakamali mo dun you will be shunned by producers and the public.

Especially in Seoul, kahit hindi sa Showbiz, there are so many beautiful and talented people that if you don't level up, mapapagiwanan ka sa work or di ka matatanggap.

    2. As for overwork concerns, mostly Kpop idols ang overworked. Check youtube for videos of idols who passed out during concerts and rehearsals. Sobrang pagod sa sunod sunod na guestings.

    3. They have the genes of the Japanese or vice versa.

      Delete
    4. 104 Walang konek ang comment mo. So bale sa forest lang pwede magsuicide? Bakit naman sa korea wala bang forest? Suicide can happen anywhere, anytime. Mema.

      Delete
    5. 104 it's not because of genes. It's social pressure. Korean suicides increased kasabay ng pag prosper ng country nila, there's a connection.

    6. Japanese go to forest to commit suicide. This , the comment of 1:04am.

    7. Dear 2:55, there's a forest in Japan called suicide forest where nagpapakamatay mga tao. They have a rope going into the forest just in case magbago isip nila at di sila maligaw sa loob. Di sya mema, madami lang syang alam, or maybe well traveled sya.

Even sa ordinary citizens nila. Mataas ang suicide rate sa SoKor. One of the highest ata sila around the world. I don’t know kung ano ang action ng government nila or programs for mental health.

    9. I agree with 8:04. Ang isang average student sleeps around 1am tapos gigising ng 5am for ex-c like piano, english, etc. Grabe din ang stigma sa mga babaeng dinivorce ng asawa sa kanila and all those lead to depression and suicidal thoughts

    10. Koreans in general are overworked. Masyado fast paced. If you want to talk with friends, you need to set a sched 2 weeks prior. Ganun kabusy mga tao

      Delete
    11. 8:27pm Sorry I have to disagree, 2 weeks prior? Hindi overwork ang reason, people are superficial they dont want to show if they have a problem, if they have bad skin, if they dont have a new coat, if they are on a budget. They tend to spend more money than they earn just to show off, men rent luxury cars and drive around. Expats here in Korea knows and warns new expats to not walk near luxury cars those are usually rented by young generations just to show off and they cant pay you if they get involve in an accident. They want to look immaculate, problem-free and an achiever or else they will just isolate themselves.

      Delete
    12. 1:02 good to know. In general, that's the trend now. Young people are very much concerned on what they can show off lalo na sa social media. Masyadong superficial and materialistic. I want to leave in a farm and live a payak life. Sinong sasama?

  6. Pag nasesensationalize ba yung isang bagay, marameng gumagaya??

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yes. Lalo kung may pinagdadaanan ka. Someone might think it's a good idea.

      Delete
    2. Yes, that's why people should stop sensationalizing suicides and mass shootings.

    1. This is true. May studies sila about jan. It's a chain reaction

      Delete
    2. Yung mga may suicidal tendencies kasi kapag nakakabalita ng mga nagsu-suicide na famous personalities eh lalong naro-romanticized sa kanila yung idea of taking your own life. Kumbaga, poetic escape.

  14. they seriously need to offer more therapy on these korean celebrities. i know its a big taboo to see a psychiatrist in asia but honestly mental health is a huge issue there and if this continues to be overlooked the suicide rate will only get higher and higher. these people needs an outlet to vent their emotions. it's probably all pent up and so they just explode and decide the dying is their only way out. send help! so sad.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Meh, why do people here assume that it was suicide? Young people can die from natural causes also, or from some chronic health condition.
