I wonder what kind of insurance policy is provided by the producers to their actors when they have to do stunts themselves? Parang hindi tama na dapat pa sila makaranas ng totoong injuries while on the job.
I mean, yeah, stunt actors get injured, too, but that’s what their job requires and siguro naman meron silang appropriate insurance provided by the producers/employers before they are contracted work on a project to perform stunts, including dangerous scenes.
I can understand mga konting scrapes lang, but what is the threshold? O way ng pagtitipid ng production yung wag kumuha ng stunt men or stunt women?
@728 - apparently, “death” is the threshold. Haven’t you been reading what happened recently? Hindi titigil ang mga production teams, networks and/or studios sa mga ganyan na practices dahil nakakatipid sila at puma payag naman mga artista na maabuso sila for fear of being labeled na “primadona” or mahirap katrabaho, etc...
Bakit pinagyayabang nila yung ganyan as if badge of honor yung mabugbog ang katawan ng totoo during shooting? Hindi ba dapat well choreographed ang mga stunts to minimize harm to actors and stunt men/women? It is acting after all, right? Everyone on set should walk away after every shoot healthy and unharmed. I know, sasabihin ninyo, “eh ginusto niya yan”.
Take care always christine
