TV personalities Ces Drilon, Marie Lozano and other members of ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs are facing arrest over the libel complaint filed by Gretchen Fullido for allegedly damaging her reputation.

The resolution, signed on April 29 by Quezon City Chief Prosecutor Vilma Barcellano, reverted the earlier dismissal of Fullido’s complaint. It stated that Fullido’s complaint against broadcast journalist Cecilia ‘Ces’ Drilon, showbiz news reporter Marie Lozano, and news executive Venancio Borromeo have a solid basis.

On March, QC Prosecutors had dismissed Fullido’s complaint saying that the statements of Drilon and Lozano are not libelous and ‘fall within the category of a conditionally or qualifiedly privileged communication.’

After seeing a probable cause on the complaint, the chief prosecutor recommended releasing a warrant of arrest against the three involved personalities.

Fullido sued Drilon, Lozano, and ABS-CBN executive Venancio Borromeo for libel for allegedly damaging her reputation by saying she filed sexual harassment complaints to leverage her employment status at the network.

Drilon said Fullido’s allegations against her were “unthinkable.” Meanwhile, ABS-CBN management dismissed the sexual harassment case, but held Favila liable for gross misconduct, leading to her dismissal.

    5. As said in the article, reverted ang decision ng chief prosecutor. They probably moved to reconsider the dismissal of the complaint with more or clear evidence this time.

    6. 1:06 mag-aral ka ng batas ha. Wag kuda ng kuda. Ano yang magconvene para may isang legitimate decision? May presumption of regularity ang actions nila kaya walang kinalalagyan ang term mong legitimate. Walang iisang decision yan kaya nga may right to escalate or appeal ang mga tao. Please study law ha before ka magkukuda dyan.

Saka si 7:12 yung parang hindi naman humihingi ng lecture dahil may hatol na sya agad. Padrino system daw. Kalokohan daw kasi Chief Prosec na bumabangka. Don't sweat it law student. Napagbuntunan ka ng wala sa kinalalagyan lol.

  14. ang sabi ni Cez, she might be imprisoned for merely participating in an official procreeding called upon by their company.

sorry to break this to you, participating in a proceeding whether testifying voluntarily or as called for or obliged by a company, does not correspond to immunity. you will face and you have to face any actions taken against you in response to what you did or what you said within permitted legal proceedings
