    1. This will be super annoying to a lot of people mainly because they are not musicians. I agree with Gerard and Lea on this.

  3. E kung ganun nila gustong ientertain mga fanatics by singing out of tune e paki ba nung iba at ni Lea at photobomber sa tabi niya!

    1. O siya sige maghain tayo ng basura

      Delete
    2. Lol. The "photobomber" is her brother, a musical conductor. 😄 Problem is, though these wannabe singers aim to entertain, not everyone is amused by their out of tune/rythm singing. Why not let the actual singers shine, and the others who excel in acting can perform some short, amusing, skit, or participate in some games wherein their acting prowess gets highlighted?

      Delete
    3. Baklang to, Maestro Gerard Salonga yang photobomber na sinasabi mo. Conductor ng ABSCBN Philharmonic Orchestra pati ng HK orchestra etc. One of the most prestigious and sought after musical directors ng concert dito noh.

      Delete
    4. See 12 45, that's the problem eh, kahit basura ipakain sa inyo susubuin nyo parin because youre a blinded fan.

      Delete
    5. 1:44 Ang problema kasi even the actual singers sa out show na yan are out of tune. I forgot the week pero one of the pro singers sung a song na sumabit yung pagkakakanta nya.

      Delete
    6. Quiet ka nalang 12:45. Nang di mapahiya

      Delete
    7. 1:55 I guess I can safely say that they rely more now with auto tune? 🙄 That's why they can't sing live anymore with ease.

      Delete
    8. Anon 12:45, yung photobomber na tinutukoy mo ay isang sought after conductor lang naman who graduated summa cum laude sa Berklee College of Music and a protege of National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab. Nakakahiya naman sa iyo.

  4. Gone are the days when quality and excellence are the priorities in giving out free entertainment. Now, it's about popularity and what can satisfy the fans of artists in a few minutes of productions than providing no subpar performances. The "puwede na" mentality has taken over "not good enough".

      Delete
All of them are pure talent. Tapos ang classy pa nila gumalaw at magsalita. Ibang-iba sa ngayon. Kung interesado kayo watch niyo tuwing Satudarday evening.

    4. Walang standards sa pinas. Anything goes.

    5. 4:54 sa Pinas lng? Howabt Britney Spears can’t sing live pero can sell albums and tickets in a stadium.

      Delete
    6. @1.31 yep. Lipsync. Pero may boses. Marunong kumanta.

      Delete
    7. 2:08 Ryan Ryan Musikahan & Aawitan Kita.

      Delete
    9. britney in her prime can actually sing with background vocals, she captivates people with her powerful dancing and stage presence. She doesn't lipsync all throughout, michael jackson does that a lot of times too, they are focus on their hardcore dancing which nowadays no one can do. Britney have a voice check her out in youtube during his disney days. She had to be unique so the company forced her to do a baby voice which is her trademark and it worked. she aint the princess of pop for nothing.

    10. Channel 7 had Uncle Bob and Friends in the ‘80s. Ang gagaling ng guests. What’s interesting is Uncle Bob is given a list of song by the guest and Uncle Bob will choose the song on the spot and the guest sings the chosen song accompanied by Joselto Pascual on the piano. Ang galing!
I also enjoyed Ryan Ryan Musikahan on Channel 2 naman.

    5. True. Some are biriterang sumisigaw, may off key, may pitchy, may tone deaf, may OA sa kulot. Nagsama-sama sa isang show. At yan ang sinasabing magaling ?????

Kasi sila ung May boses at di off-key kumanta

    ReplyDelete
  17. Kala ko ako lang yung nakapansin. Mejo off yung key nung mga biritera.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I know who. Lalaki to si Mr na out of tune kanina.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I think this was in reference to the portion in ASAP where foreign nationals were made to sing in Filipino and did their respective duets with the original singers of the hit songs they sung. In fairness, the former are amateur singers who were having a difficult time staying on key so when the pros came out, it sorta threw them off.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I think nonlegit singers ang tinutukoy niya.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes. I think so too baks

      Delete
    2. 1:47am and 8:13am Hindi yung segment na yun mga baks kundi yung opening number

      Delete
  22. Most Filipinos are musically inclined. Many can play an instrument, the guitar for example, and others had formal lessons for piano and violin playing. Others sing in school or at church. So Lea is actually right that ordinary viewers will notice, and will not be really amused, watching none-singers destroy good songs.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. “Most?” Gaano ka-accurate ‘to. Like 51% of population? I doubt it. Parang english. Good speakers ang Pinoy when it’s not even true. Lol.

      Delete

      Delete

      Delete
  23. OMG ASAP to. Nanood ako kanina. My guess is sa opening number ito since Broadway ang theme nila and we all know na forte ng Salonga siblings ang broadway. I wasnt paying too much attention sa opening kaya try ko balikan kung sino sa mga ensemble kanina ang palpak. Will give an update.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies

      Delete
    2. Ok I think this is O sa opening number ng ASAP. Please correct me if I'm wrong though. Group performance kasi ang tinutukoy eh.

      Delete
    3. Tama si O to. Pinag uusapan sya namin habang naglalaro ng majong. Bongga ang opening tapos biglang meeh yong finale ni O. He almost ruined the grand opening prod

      Delete
  24. If it was in the opening prod, di matalas ang tenga ko. Pero medyo obvious sya dun sa prod with the foreign amateur singers.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hahahahaha....just goes to show how horrible local showbiz really is. Performers, tv shows, magazines and movies - most are awful.

    ReplyDelete

    1. 4:44, don’t single out the local shoqbiz, mas grabe sa hollywood! Wag kang utak talangka!

    1. not an excuse. ganyan ang motto ng mga mediocre

    ReplyDelete
  29. Lol asap ba to. Ang daming wala sa tono kanina. Mula sa opening pati dun sa my kasama foreigners.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  32. napuna nung anak ni Gerard sabi THEY're singing out of tune. THEY plural sino sino ito ahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  33. Pinanood ko na. Omg mukang perya haha

    ReplyDelete
  34. Let’s be honest there’s a reason why the show is called a “musical variety show”, it’s just a variety of people(singers, actors, hosts, & dancers) singing, talented or not. It’s just one big circus of getting popular talents over legit talented artists!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Ewan ko ba nman sa inyo kung bakit pinanonood nyo pa ang asap .As in talagang perya, ang gulo gulo. Studio7 is the best sa ngayon, pang millenials.

    ReplyDelete

    2. Too bad naka matsugi na pag bumalik yung the clash

      Delete

      Delete
  36. Is it the same for musical variety shows in Korea or Japan? I'm referring to the mediocre musical quality of the singers and performances?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Omg 7.55. I can’t even describe how outrageous your comments are!

      Delete
    3. I preferred ASAP before isinahog yung mag asawa. Before them parang mini concert ang ASAP unlike now. I should say sobrang exposure nung dalawa.

      Delete

Nakakahinayang kaya.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Ibig sabihin lang, Gerard's kid has an ear for music.
