Changing for the better is always welcome, especially for people who have struggled over issues in the past. Lucky are those who are given second chances, as new opportunities await them. Sadly, others are not so lucky and chances for a new start elude them and they disappear into oblivion.
As everyone seems impressed with the change that seem to be exhibited by Challenging Celebrity (CC), a word of caution seems to be in motion as well. CC has been in the entertainment industry and has earned his dues. Thus, he would always be a reliable actor when it comes to assignments and directors have no problem motivating him to do scenes. However, somewhere along his journey, CC became reckless and took everything he had for granted. Family, friends, lovers, colleagues, and even non-showbiz people turned into enemies because of his mischievous behavior.
Soon, CC’s entanglements resulted in losing work, confidence, and self-esteem. The pride that he displayed became nothing, but air. Although people wanted to continue to help him out, he kept blowing his chances. Nonetheless, the cliché became true, that is, the only person who can help himself/herself is himself/herself.
While people are happy that CC seems to be looking better, an alleged sighting is making people cynical. Allegedly, CC was seen holding a can of beer while waiting for a flight. On board, CC behaved and did not cause any trouble nor do anything to call attention to himself. However, when the plane landed, the story changed. CC was the last to leave. Attendants had a very hard time trying to wake him up. He could have been tired or it could be the effect of the content of the can he was seen holding prior to the ride.
CC is still trying to clean up his mess and his road to recovery is not easy. However, he needs to be consistent in his clean living, as people are still rooting for him and looking forward to the time when CC succeeds in fulfilling his nth chance.

Parties are often the most unsafe events for celebrities to go, especially if the public will be part of the crowd. Stolen shots of celebrities misbehaving might suddenly be uploaded in social media and the said celebrities might suddenly have something to answer for. However, these days, when celebrities host events, they are already smart enough to request guests to take it easy on taking and posting photos, especially if celebrity guests are involved.
While photos or videos might be unavailable to the public, stories of partygoers can go around word of mouth. With celebrities, their slightest behavior that contradicts their image can always be controversial.
In a private event that was attended by an exclusive set of guests comprising mostly of chosen young celebrities, guests noticed that beautiful Young Star (YS) seemed to behave differently that night. That is, YS seemed to have been let loose out of her cloistered life of taping and endorsing. YS probably flaunted what she has, got tipsy, and perhaps a bit rowdy, behavior that are typical if one knows she is in a safe event. However, for the adults in the same event, her behavior did not sit well. YS would just have to make sure that she behaves better, as her endorsements might be affected if she’s found out to be misbehaving.
Meanwhile, one of the hosts actually requested a guest to remove a photo taken during the event. The photo was already posted on the guest’s social media site, but the host told her to remove it. Blood, in this case, is thicker than water indeed.

A deportation case is being pushed against television and movie actor Tony Labrusca before the Bureau of Immigration (BI).
“The (Intelligence Division) recommended to Legal (Division) the filing of deportation case against Labrusca for working without permit I think,” BI Deputy Commissioner Tomas Javier said in an interview Wednesday.
Javier said there is no charge sheet yet against the actor, noting that the recommendation for his deportation is being reviewed by the BI's Legal Division.
The BI official admitted that he received information that the actor, who holds an American passport, has filed a petition for recognition as a Filipino citizen.
“I was informed that Tony Labrusca also filed a petition for recognition as a Filipino citizen, considering that both his parents are Filipinos,” Javier added.
Once Labrusca's petition has been granted, the deportation case would be moot and academic.
Javier said the process of the petition for recognition involves a hearing with the BI Board of Special Inquiry (BSI).
“We would process it, may hearing pa ‘yan (there will be a hearing) with our BSI, then it (BSI) would recommend to the Department of Justice for confirmation if they find sufficient basis for the granting of recognition,” he noted.
Among the requirements for the petition to be granted, the BI official said, is that one or both parents of the petitioner are Filipinos.
“In the case of Labrusca, his father I think all the way, Filipino. His mother, I have no idea, baka nag convert to (maybe she has already converted her citizenship to) American, pero ‘yung (but the) father ay (is a) Filipino,” Javier said.
Labrusca is the son of local actor Boom Labrusca and model Angel Jones.
The actor drew flak for allegedly disrespecting an immigration officer at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) after he was only given a 30-day stay in the country. (PNA)
