    1. Australia????

    2. 12:49 ummm, not true about dying coz of the animals 🙄

    3. When I first read your comment, triggered ako, but after some thought, I realized tama ka, mababa nga chances of dying here in Australia from violence or accidents. The flipside though is that pag nabalitang may namatay from those, big deal talaga because of how life is valued. Sa Pinas, parang sanay nang may namamatay araw araw whether drugs, violence or covid. Dito, may namatay lang whether covid or accident or whatever, news agad kasi action agad ang gobyerno. Government officials have actually stepped down just because their integrity was questioned, kahit hindi sila guilty. I just don’t agree with the article comparing the level of safety. Here in Australia, I have failed to lockup at night and not fear for my safety. Nakaiwan na ako ng wallet and cellphone and bumabalik sa akin. Umuwi kami sa Pinas last year, sa airport pa lang kinontrata na kami ng taxi driver. Nakakalungkot kung iisipin.

    4. 12:49 pano mo nasabi? Galing ka na ba dito?

      Delete

    7. Please read the post closely before you all jump into conclusions. 12:49 post is something positive. She's basically saying that violent crimes are not as common as poisonous bites from reptiles and insects that we all know are common in Australia.

We’re safe from deadly species na sinasabi niyo because the houses here as safe and there signs everywhere to warn us if there are snakes and other poisonous creatures.

  2. Ano no.1? North Korea?

  3. I guess because mainstream media and the most vocal of people has been against and reporting only the negatives of this admin? I mean, pinoy news since I can remember only report the bad news. Only when I lived in a different country did I notice that their news, tho mired with negatives have positive news as well kahit sobrang babaw pero nakakauplift ng puso. I'm not pro nor anti.. observation lang.

    1. I had the same experience sa Singapore nong nagwork ako back in 2008. Yung mga tao, they just don’t bother with political issues. They mind their own business and follow rules. Bakit mo nga naman dadagdagan pa yung iisipin mo. Just let the government do their job and do yours.

      Delete
Very Uplifting and Inspiring!

      Delete
    6. Gurl mas safe nmaan talaga dun kesa dito.

      Delete
    7. I completely agree. Only when you leave the country will you realize na life here isn’t so bad after all.

    8. Because 1:07, the Singaporean govt IS doing their job, kaya halos wala nang bad news or crime to report. When I was in SG, I couldn't help but feel envious of how peaceful and clean the place is. Sana sa Phils din.

      Delete
For life. pag salbahe ka dun konti lang kulong. racist ka lng doon iindict ka talaga nila for racism. chewing gum lamg nga diba kulong and fine. gumagana kasi sistema nila.

      Delete
    10. halatang maraming trolls dito na making this political when its not. so mas safe sa phils when broad daylight ninanakawan or kinikidnap mga bata benta organs. mas safe sa atin na pulis involved sa pagharaass sa artista habang mga dictators run free.

    12. 9:56 kaya pala kahit mga kaibigan kong may Master's and PhD from the big 3 universities hinahangad mag abroad. I hope the joke is on me, at sana sarcastic ka. Nagkalat ang DDS dito. Nung nagbakasyon ako sa Pinas galing Canada saka ko lang na realize kung gano ako ka blessed for the opportunity na manirahan dito. Echusera ka. As much as I love my hometown, di mo makakaila na third world pa rin ang Pinas sa mga daming departamenton including the government, healthcare and education, which is pretty much the foundation of a country.

    13. Uhmm. Hello, kaya wala masyadong "bad news" ang SG cos it is controlled by the government. Also, walang freedom of speech dito. Got pros and cons, tho.

If u really want to read views and opinions of locals on their country (of course, anonymous), read forums.

      Delete
    14. I agree with Nov8 12:32AM. Tumira din ako sa Singapore. Takot at disiplinado ang mga tao due to Lee Kuan Yew, their former Prime Minister. Singaporean media is owned and controlled by the government. Tsaka ang punishment nila dun by strokes of the cane and hanging.

      Delete
  4. Partida galing pa sa ibang bansa yan. Pinoys talaga. Sa ibang bansa lang kasi magaling, paano, di uubra yung kalokohan nila, kaya pag positive yung naririnig nila dito, they end up shocked. Typical pinoy crab mentality

    2. Kya nga eh. They just don't know kong gaano din ka lala ang crimes sa other countries. For me in my own experience our city feels safer now compared to 5 years ago. Dati kasi kahit saan may holdapan at nakawan sa amin. Now wala na maxado.

      Delete
From QC ako.

      Delete
    4. Agree with you 146. Only those living outside PH ang mostly nakakaalam.

So many things to watch out for that it's hard to enjoy your surroundings. The only place that made us feel better is Baguio City and Cebu. Even Boracay has its faults. Do you believe, maski sa probinsiya ng Lola ko, nakulangan pa ako ng sukli. Hay naku.

    10. Peace and order... teka ecq o gcq o mcq?

    11. 3:56, I agree with you. Nakaka-stress lumabas ng bahay. Bukod sa traffic, you have to be vigilant about your stuff, baka ma-snatch or pick-pocket ka or pag sa restaurant matangay mga gamit mo. Either maiiwan ang mga bata or I have to bring the helper. And my kids think I am paranoid.
I’ve been living in SG for almost 2 decades and naging lax na ako kaya sa tuwing umuuwi ako ng Pilipinas na-i-istress ako lumabas.

      Delete
Tsaka huwag masyadong mataas magsalita 'teh ano. Example Isko Moreno at Manny Villar at marami pang iba. Nasaan sila ngayon? Ikaw nasaan ka ngayon. Huwag maging palalo at judgmental, bad yan.

  8. People of the Philippines, don't be so gullible. I have travelled almost all of Asia with my friends (we belong to different races) and never have any complaints with safety and security. However, my mother will not let us visit the Philippines without any chaperones who either live there or are familiar with the place. She brought three American friends to the Philippines and all of them have unpleasant experiences. Pickpockets, short changed ( a vendor in a prestigious farmers market handed her her change but once she had a chance to count it, she's short a good amount. Like we do here in the US, Sometimes we don't count. We just shove it in our purse). They were looking for a parking space and someone told the driver to follow him. He knows of a space. Luckily the security guard forewarned them not to follow the man. He said something about hold up or car break in. These are just examples. I can't blame my mom for not letting us visit the country of her birth. Sigh. One of the safe countries? I doubt it.

    1. When did it happen?

      Delete
  9. As for me and my family, ramdam namin ngayon yung safetiness. May improvement talaga.

At maigi kasi naging independent sila, they were able to travel back to the Philippines on their own at 10.
My eldest is now 16, wala naman nangyari sa kanya. We live in Singapore by the way.
