    2. Hate is a strong word. World is already full of negativity.

Sila ung grupong fake it til u make it lol

      Delete

      Delete

    10. Lol. Kamote! Walang ganun! If meron yun is direct to the networks, and binibigay lang naman nila ang gisto ng tao which is, K drama and music.

A few years ago i attended a forum exclusively for govt agencies and embassies. It was about security relations ek-ek. One of the speakers was the korean ambassador. Yung finale ng report nya ay about kpop! Kakaloka! Nga-nga kaming lahat lalo na yung mga military and US emba. Haha!

  4. I also hate k-pop but off lang yung “mas magaling mag-english” remark. Speaking English does not make you superior. Korea is more advanced and richer than the Philippines “despite” not being fluent in English.

Nurses and teachers would rather work in call centers because hindi tama pa-suweldo sa kanila.

Anyway, back to the topic: I prefer OPM. Filipinos are better singers. Let’s stick to our genre.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Anong genre? Yung puro revival? Lol.

      Delete
    2. @1:52 Omg! Tumpak! Lol

      Delete
    3. OPM songs all sound the same. Melodramatic RNB wannabe love songs. Filipinos are good at hitting notes that’s it. We are not musically inclined like say Indians who have at least 5 songs in every Bollywood movie they produce.

      Delete
Sad but true..

      Delete
    5. Admiring foreign artists does not mean one is losing his identity as a Filipino. Bakit nga ba kinahihiligan ang Kpop now? Coz of their reach, their catchy songs, etc . If only OPM step up their game, tiyak marami din even the youth of today mahihiligan makinig sa OPM songs.

      Delete
    6. Yeeeess 2:56. Ang masakit p nga dito is kakarelease lng ng kanta (new one), eh nabigyan n kaagad ng cover. Tpos, mas sumikat p ang cover than the orig one.

    3. C'mon guys, ibang level n ang obsession ng mga kpop fans/tard, you can't disagree with them they will hate you if give your opinion on kpop/korean shows, DDD levels na. I get it kanya kanya hilig pero ang lala na madalas, hindi na objective. Hindi ko ipapatalo ang beauty ng mga filipino and of course ang singing voice ng mga pinoy.

I have to say this, there are a lot of filipino, european, SE and SE asian movies pero makikita mo ang trending korean. Hindi lumalawak ang taste ng mga tao in terms of movies and series kasi nakahon sa korean style of acting, face na hindi na gumagalaw at wala ng expressions.

    4. IMELDA IS RIGHT ABOUT KPOP EVEN THOUGH SHE'S WRONG ABOUT THE ENGLISH STUFF. Totoo naman talagang mga pinoy kpop fans gustong itakwil ang lahi nila just to become korean which is really stupid and disrespectul to our ancestors. You can't deny it... nagkalat sa social medias ang mga drama ng mga kpoper na yan na gusto daw nila maging koreano, koreana and it really pisses me off.

    3. Agree that K pop or K wave is not isolated in the Philippines.

And to those people who think that K drama/wave is corny, remember that the best picture from the Oscars this year is a Korean movie.

      Delete
    4. 2:24 matagal bago nalaos yung f4
Ang di nag click is yung other taiwanese dramas, kdrama talaga ang marami naipalabas

      Delete
    5. 2:53 Naging fan ako ng F4 at Meteor Garden nung sumikat sila ng year 2003.

OUR CULTURE IS VERY RICH DUE TO THOSE NUMBER OF INFLUENCES. TECHNICALLY, OUR REAL IDENTITIES ARE THOSE OF THE MANGYANS/ AETAS/IGOROT, ETC. IF THIS LADY WAS BORN IN THE 80S, AND EARLY 90S, BKA MAS MA OVERWHELM SYA SA MGA WESTERN INFLUENCES SA PINAS. OR MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THE KOREAN LANGUAGE THAT'S WHY SHE'S REACTING LIKE THIS, BECAUSE MUSIC WISE, MAS MALAKI AP REN INFLUENCE NG WESTERNERS THAN KOREANS SA PINAS.

It is a form of escapism and it just so happens that Koreans are good at entertaining. They produce music with a global reach in mind. Kung interesado kayo, search for Ailee, Hyolyn, Eunkwang, Mamamoo, Solar, Sam Kim, Eric Nam... For bands search nyo The Rose, Hyukoh, Seso Neon (although iba dito baka hindi na pasok sa kpop). Flex ko rin ang krnb nila. Magaling din rnb ng Korea. Personal fave is "Primary" who's a producer. Manood kayo ng shows like Fantastic Duo o kaya Immortal Songs Para marinig nyo ang mga Korean singers na kumanta ng mga classic songs nila. And BTW, I love OPM too. 1. 1:31 not sure about that since from what i understand, kpop mostly mean korean music.

      Delete
    2. No. Hindi lahat ng korean music is Kpop. In Korea, Idol music ang tawag sa kanila. Twice/Blackpink/ etc.

The word ''kpop'' comes from the west, hindi sa Korea.

As for the English comment, she must have forgotten that it’s a language brought by colonizers. So there’s that too.

Hating on something won’t make people listen to her music. She could have spoken about Filipino original music and her own music without bringing something down.

No wonder she had to give up the crown she won years ago. She was running her mouth... just like what she is doing now. Stay salty.

My favorite band when I was young was Duran Duran and I had all their albums and posters and even dressed the way they did, but last I checked pinoy na pinoy pa rin ako - sa pag galang ko sa mga matanda, sa faith ko, sa mga gusto kong kainin at marami pang iba. I don't speak with a british accent too! This girl is just a bigot and her opinion should NEVER matter.

I’m never a kdrama follower but out of curiosity i watched one after another..the plot is universal but the production is good as well as the cinematography but most of the faces of the actors are scientifically enhanced, the guys look effimenate and the girls doll like, you can’t figure their real looks anymore but they’re good actors though..compared to phil. cinema they’re way better. The kpop groups they’re mediocre singers but their choreography are well rehearsed but the younger generation goes gaga over them, i dunno why..my opinion.

Wag nalang tayong bitter. Hindi sila marunong mag english pero mas sikat sila in other parts of the world than our singers. Ibig sabihin nun may tama silang ginagawa.

  86. English fluency has no bearing on music. Music is music. So it's okay to support American music and not K-Pop? I enjoy good quality music in genres I enjoy regardless of race - English, French, Spanish, Korean. As for OPM, bands from the 90s were cool, and there are some sentimental tunes that are good. But the Philippine music industry is nowhere near the Koreans. Let's not even mention the quality of their TV shows. The Philippines' cannot compare, not even a little. Let's give credit where it's due. You accept the superiority of American shows but not that of Koreans?
