    1. Woman of color or Person of color. Definition:

The term "person of color" (plural: people of color, persons of color; sometimes abbreviated POC) is today primarily used to describe any person who is not considered white.

Hindi black si Tita Lea. Hindi din po sya white.

      Delete
    2. OMG.Alam mo ba ibig sabihin ng People of Color? Haha! Kairita kashungaan mo.

      Delete
    3. Fyi, a person of color is anyone who is not considered white. Is Tita Lea white? No di ba?

      Delete
    4. Well, Lea has a white complexion so she is passing white.

      Delete
    9. 12:22, Don’t show your ignorance girl. If you are not Caucasian, you are considered as coloured by the whites. That’s the reality. Gets mo.

    10. Lol.

  7. Seriously, I'm a woman of color too. This is what the media inflicts in us. FEAR. And then celebrities that have immense influence on people repeats the same kind of false narrative, it just doesn't help our current situation. I celebrated when Trump won. Jobs were at record breaking high and unemployment was its lowest too. I went to NY, TN, and live in CA. I have dark skin and I see people of different colors and we are all fine. Seriously, cut the crap already. Stop fear mongering. I've just LOST my respect for LeaSalonga. If I have the power, I'd stop all the media from feeding us all bad news. I'm not saying all has been perfect. No and it will never be but the media has polarized our views, made us feel depressed and hopeless. Sad sad state.

    1. Girl, if you live in the US, then surely you have experienced discrimination and have seen it with your own eyes. Wag mo sabihin na fake news yan because it really happens lalo na sa workplace. I don’t know about you pero langaw ang tingin sa akin ng mga puti. Even the latinos nga experiences discrimination eh. It’s real. And wag na in denial, Trump is racist. He is racist and a proud one at that. Pero infairness naman din sa kanya, marami siya nagawa and sang-ayon din ako sa ibang decisions niya pero lets not say na his racism didn’t have an effect. Naglakas loob ang mga white supremacists to be more vocal kasi the president himself was a proud racist.

    7. I never said racism doesn't exist. We have a lot of work to do here. Yes I live in the U.S. Racism has existed way before Trump was born lol. Take a look at black history and documentaries available on netflix and amazon prime. I don't think Biden is any different.
My response is more of an expression of frustration to Lea's exaggerated narrative. I've lived here for almost 10yrs now, ang oa lang talaga ng comment ni Lea.

    8. Completely agree with you Procopia. Super OA and exagg pinagsasabi ni Lea. I would understand if it's in the deep south but its NYC!!! The reason you will not feel safe while walking the streets of NYC, SF and LA is because of the homeless people high on drugs. I've been here 20 years and I've actually felt discriminated more by Thai, Koreans and CHinese who grew up here.

    9. 1:42 and the comments that agreed with you.

Denying those empowers the aggressors.

For what? For Donald Trump? Lol.

Lowest unemployment ng Blacks under Trump. Ah, sabi nga ni Joe, if you don't vote for him, you ain't black. So sino uli ang racist?

    16. People of color are being oppressed. That's a fact. There are people in power who view their lives having value than a white person. Just because it did not happen to you doesn't mean it's not happening to other people. Ang kitid naman ng worldview mo te. Stop watching Fox News, get the hell out the echo chamber in facebook and widen your news sources and talk to real people.

    17. @ Procopia

Yung FilAm friend ko tisoy. He's from a prominent family dito sa Manila. His father is dark skinned and low key. His mother is tisay. May business sila dyan sa US and dito sa Pinas. My friend said umuwi ang father nya dito because the father was experiencing discrimination dyan.

Point is, unfortunately racism and discrimination is normal. Mga puti kasi in general (mostly, not all) ang taas ng tingin sa sarili. Now it's up to us Asians/Pinoys to stand up and show them na hindi acceptable ang ma-discriminate.

But i admit he did something good for 4 years of being the President of United States. The gas prices went down, the economy is doing good and the value of dollar went up. And this last election I voted for him because I think he did pretty good. Its just the media here, and all the social media platform are owned by democrats. They brainwashed people to hate Trump.

  32. Looking over her shoulder kind of fear because she is not Caucasian?

Lea is obviously overstating this. First, Asians are not as discriminated as African Americans. That is the truth. As an award winning stage actress in the USA, she, IN FACT, reaps benefits that other regular, equally or more talented Actors born and raised here in the USA do not get to enjoy. Lea has IN FACT taken roles that could’ve been given to African Americans and/or other Minorities who are members of the stage actors’ guild here; AND the system that gave her that right to take jobs away from Americans is the same system that she is attacking. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not knocking her achievements, pero WALA SA HULOG and pag bandwagon ni Lea. Looking over her shoulder talaga? Masyadong feelingera. She should use her influence to TELL WHOLE TRUTHS and NOT AMBIGUOUS realities that she hears of or reads online. Lea, ANG EPAL MO on matters relating to US Politics, pero sa Philippines, MARCOS APOLOGIST ka pa rin.

If you want to congratulate Biden & Harris, okay lang yon, express your support, BUT DO NOT TELL LIES, nor embellish on your experiences for dramatic effect dahil nakakabuset ang pagka OA ng post mo na yan. I hope she or her reps read/s this.

      Delete
    3. @425 - Alam mo, it’s okay naman for Lea to state her experience, but she doesn’t need to exaggerate her narrative. Obviously for added dramatic effect ang “intense fear for her life, but she forged on anyway no matter the odds” narrative niya. Bakit? May kaaway ba siya that she needs to look over her shoulder every time? New York is one of the most diverse States in the USA, and the comment above is correct in stating that Lea (for all intents and purposes) has actually been favored for roles over other racial minorities who are born and raised here and reaped the benefits of being a foreign celebrity in her field—that IS privilege, okay?
