A Wise Spender

Customer data are usually confidential and delivery services are expected not to talk about their recipient lists. However, such is far from reality, especially among riders who find themselves hanging around the same restaurant locations. Thus, certain names would come up given that they patronize the same food services. One customer that surprised several riders is Wise Celebrity (WC).

On cam, WC developed a generous reputation. Whenever WC has the opportunity to donate cash or give away prizes, WC will do so to delight the audience, who assumed that WC is the same when away from the spotlight. The delivery riders thought similarly as well, but they were disappointed.

Whenever WC orders for food delivery, true character shows, and the riders are shocked. For instance, WC pestered a rider to deliver immediately the huge amount of food ordered even if the weather was so bad at zero visibility. The threat even led to cancellation, which the rider dreaded. Hence, the rider had to brave the waters to reach WC's home.

Then, no allotment of tips was considered. A helper would hand the exact amount, down to the centavo to the rider. One rider suspected that the helper might be keeping the extra amount, but after talking with other riders who had delivered to WC, he was wrong. WC was not the generous personality that WC had projected on camera. Apparently, WC is stingy given the experiences of the riders.

‘Beware of those who are stingy, for they would rather sting you than give you anything.’ − Suzy Kassem

  1. I don’t think it’s W kasi sa status niya di niya gagamitin name niya for delivery and most probably eh marami siyang tagaluto

    2. Dinnya ginagamit name nya but he’s known to live there, and if you ask around the neighborhood for the address it’s W’s name that’ll pop out.

    2. 12.46 X is not a spendthrift but he usually doesn’t give away prizes. This description doesn’t fit.

  4. Si V yan. Syempre walang camera kaya kuripot.

  5. Everyone deserves the right to spend his own money.

    1. True! For me okay lang maging kuripot

    2. He pestered and threaten to cancel the order. Do you think this is okay? Kahit 20 lang di mabigyan. This is WC being entitled.

Ako nga I'm not well off, but I always tip every delivery guy and give extra pag bad weather. The tips you give won't make you poor.

    3. 4:00 still, tipping is optional. I always give tips but we can't judge people who don't.

  6. Jusko, mga pinoy talaaga, Forever feeling entitled. Trabaho nyo po magdeliver. As long as nagbayad ang customer ng tamang amount wala na dapat kayo hanash.

    3. Actually true naman to kasi sa grab tinaasan nila delivery charge this pandemic

    4. Tama naman. Nagrititip ako pero wag tayo ung mamimilit. Kung hindi nag tip, end of story. Bakit chinichismis pa

Ako personally nagttip lang ako kapag umuulan or naliligaw yung Grab. Otherwise sakto lang ang bayad.

    1. I always give a tip regardless of the situation. To show appreciation, share my blessings and make the rider (who's braving the heat or the rain) feel a bit happier. It makes me feel good too.

    2. Same. May charge ung delivery, so ayun na ung bayad. Nageextra lang din ako if maulan, super mainit, or if pagabi na.

Mpacourier man or food delivery kahit 20 pesos masaya na sila. Take note, d ako mayaman pero that's my way of thanking and appreciating them.

    1. It's not universal.. Think of Singapore, Australia, Japan, Korea, etc.

Tapos everytime I order sa delivery parating cashless. Para iwas hawak ng cash.

    3. sa ibang bansa kasi talagang expected yun as in kulang yung kita ng delivery guy/waiter pag walang tips. dito naman sa pinas optional pa rin ang tips

  11. Da hu? Clue naman sino si W classmates

Lol

  13. It cud be W but stars like him have their assistants or however they are called, to do those things for them..

  14. This is K, for camera purposes Lang ang pag tulong.
