    1. SO IN GRADE SCHOOL (PROVINCE), OUR SCIENCE TEACHER (WE LATER FOUND OUT HE MAJORED IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION) NA AKALA MO KUNG SINONG MAGALING KEPT PRONOUNCING "TALC" AS "TOK" AS IN PARANG "TALK."

IT WAS ONLY WHEN I WAS IN COLLEGE (MANILA), THAT IT'S PRONOUNCED AS HOW IT'S SPELLED PALA. NAKAKALOKA!

    2. Kasi the netizen called her out, eh totoo naman. I’m kind of turned-off tbh.

    8. Chill lang, English is relative. Even brandnames are pronounced differently around the world depende sa stress ng local language. You may be saying Nestlé wrong if u come to North America. E yung salmon? Google mo baks!

  7. Dami kasi memang netizen ngayon.

      Delete
  11. Sana kasi inamin na lang nya na she really was shaming, yung ang point. No matter how you look at it. Even though she meant it to be "nostalgic" pinagtatawanan pa rin nya.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Not really. Were we shaming?

      Delete

    ReplyDelete
  13. Pa cool kasi si sab kaya ayan hahaha

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. cool talaga sya, not pa cool.

      Delete
    2. Yeah, right. Just because she has a band and has friends in the rock music industry, and she likes to speak English and writes a blog, "pa-cool" na siya. 😒

      Delete
    3. Yeah right. She thinks she’s all that just because she has a band etc etc. That doesn’t make her instantly cool. Pa-cool talaga sya madalas.

      Delete
    4. Define pa cool. "She thinks." And paano mo nalaman ang iniisip niya? Psychic ka?

      Delete
  14. Nostalgic daw. Lulusot pa to e 🙄

      Delete
    2. @3:55 am Hahaha! Yes, I am proud to be a "fantard" of Saab. At least she's a bit nicer than most celebs these days.

Just a question: Are you one of those people that mispronounces "theory?" Is that why you are affected? XD

      Delete
    3. Saab was obviously making fun of her teacher. And I don’t see the connection between being “affected” with how we pronounce the word theory. We see what Saab did there, and we are just saying it as it is. -Not 1:22 nor 3:55

      Delete
    4. Kaso di naman sya stand up comediane so hindi acceptable. Die-hard blind tard ka tlga for trying to justify her tweet kahit alam mo naman deep inside na ginawa nyang katawa tawa teacher nya. I bet she had bad grades kaya may galit sa teacher lol

      Delete

      Delete
    7. @1:04 It's not like I really follow Saab religiously. I used to follow her blog and I drew a portrait of her. Yes, I am a fan but being a fan doesn't invalidate my opinion. Sobrang babaw lang kasi ng issue. Like, choory talaga? Yan? Ni-tweet na niya yan before, inulit lang niya kasi I guess naalala niya ulit yung prof. Anubeh.

  20. Well, what can I say is that most of my HS classmates who were laughing behind the teachers' back due to mispronunciation or sometimes really bad grammar, ended up as HS teachers themselves. 😏 What goes around comes around, kids. 😉

    ReplyDelete
  21. Nai-tweet na niya yang choory na yan. Tinuweet niya ulit. Nakakatawa naman talaga YUNG pronunciation nila.

    ReplyDelete
  22. shaming nga talaga yun, pero mild lang naman and we all do it sometimes. these pa woke keyboard warriors attacked her kasi ayaw pa iadmit.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Most of my teachers nung hs choory ang naalala kong pronounciation nun. So di ako natatawa non kasi d naman big deal.

    ReplyDelete
  26. ayses aminin na natin malakas naman talaga tayong mangantyaw pag mali ang pronunciation.. napansin lang c saab kasi celeb xa and of course because its thru social media..

    ReplyDelete
  27. We all have that kind of teacher, right? And yep, nostalgic sya when you think of it now. It's a happy memory!

    1. Finally, someone said it! Yes, I have a teacher who says "choory" all the time. Yet, she is my favorite science professor because she is witty and knowledgeable. :)

      Delete
    2. I guess it depends on the context. I mean, I get what Saab meant - I'm sure lahat naman tayo have funny anecdotes about our childhood teachers & classmates. Kaya lang, it can also easily be misconstrued as something derogatory, lalo pa if it's read as is lang.

While some people should stop making mountains out of molehills, I guess it wouldn't hurt din to be more mindful of what you say, especially in the age of social media.

      Delete
  28. Lol I just asked my Mom to pronounce theory and she said choory too. That's how she was taught so maybe the teachers were taught wrong as well.

    ReplyDelete
  29. For me the tweet was neutral. Like there are certain teachers/profs talaga who pronounced words differently and you’d really remember them for that. LAHAT NALANG SHAMING. Huhu!
