    1. let’s be clear. wag bitter. everybody knows na mas specific at mas may depth yung speech ni miss venezuela kesa sa philipoines. It’s not just using her bday. you have to be fair.

    2. Congrats Miss Philippines

      Delete
    4. Anon 12:41, clearly Venezuela is the winner. Don’t bet on a candidate just because she is your countryman. That is sick and is displaced loyalty.

      Delete
    5. Yes! That tranny looking venezuelan did not deserve her crown. It was really ahtisa who was the clear winner but the MIorg probably did not want to crown another asian kasi naman pinanalo nila yung chakang indonesian na copycat ni Kylie ang styling pati gestures eh di sana okay lang koronahan si Ahtisa. Bwisit talaga! And yeah, CROWNING SOMEBODY JUST BECAUSE IT WAS HER BIRTHDAY IS THE MOST STUPID AND CHILDISH DECISION EVER!

    6. Wag tayo maglokohan.. Bday girl Venezuela is not deserving at all!

  5. she looks so foreign. It is a shame to call her Ms Phils.

So anong dapat maipagmamalaking pagmumukha ng isang miss phils? Taas kilay to the right and kunit noo up the max level

    2. Actually, fluent sya sa Tagalog at Bisaya. Laking Bohol po sya.

      Delete

    4. Aw c’mon! Global na ang Pinoy. Try to catch up and find good in things worth celebrating!

      Delete
    5. At pag nakita m mga kapatid nya. Puro mukhang pinoy.

      Delete
    6. Sali ka at buong angkan mo te. Maganda ata genes mo.

      Delete

    8. There is no pure blooded Filipina. Didn’t you learn in your History class that the Philippines is a melting pot of different cutlures?

      Delete
    9. 12:12, don’t be rediculous. Filipinos are of Malay race, not European.

      Delete
    10. @12:12, look around you. Pinoys are Malays, not whites.

  6. Ngekkkkkk...

    2. Fil-Australian sya like Cat.

      Delete
    3. Nope.. Pure blooded filipina doesn't look like her. Gallman is her last name. So obviously not

      Delete
    4. Some comments here are just sad. My child is also a product of two races and is no less a Filipino than those who are “puro”. Many do their country and their kapwa Pinoys ill, even if it is only by an act of finding fault imbes mag “Thank You” na lang sana for having done our country proud. Does it really lift you up to tear others down?

      Delete
    5. Anon 2:08. Case to case basis yan. Minsan kasi nakakakinis kasi they don’t know anything about our culture tapos pupunta sa Pilipinas to join a pageant or become artista because they know they have the advantage over normal Pinoys. Or they can’t win in their home country. If you’re raising your kid to be aware sa Pinoy culture. Then good job!

      Delete

      Delete
    7. 2:26 then karen isn't the right one to bash. Back and forth sya dito. Shes very fluent in tagalog and bisaya. Ikaw? Baka tagalog lang alam mo. Mas pinoy pa sya sayo.

      Delete

      Delete
    9. 2:26 anong masama kong piliin nilang i-represent ang Philippines kong dual citizen sila at qualified naman. Karapatan nila iyon. If you have a dream and you want to chase for it, walang karapatan ang isang taong tulad mo para husgahan sila. Parang OFW lng iyan na may pangarap, they use their skills and talents abroad instead of here in the Philippines.

      Delete

      Delete
  11. I know this is racist pero, nagpunta lang ba siya sa Pilipinas para sumali sa pageant? Haha!

    1. She grew up in Bohol, born and raised. She speaks Bisaya. Can you??

      Delete

      Delete
    3. NOPE. Mas may alam pa yan kesa kay Cat or Katarina

      Delete
    4. hindi ah. fluent yan sa bisaya

      Delete
    5. Nope.

      Delete
    7. No she didn't. she spent a lot of her childhood years up in a small coastal town (Ubay) in Bohol. She speaks Bisaya and Tagalog fluently.

      Delete
Hindi tuloy natin malaman kung sincere ba sila talaga sa pagrepresent ng bansa or if it’s for their own personal gain.

      Delete
    9. Nope. Kasi dito siya lumaki. Laking bohol.

      Delete
    10. Anon 10;50 you are overthinking things.

      Delete
    11. Compared to Catriona, Karen was born and raised here naman.

      Delete
  12. We are winning left and right with these beauty pageants but they dont look like Filipinas at all. I am happy Philippines name is up there but really?? These are not the faces of real Pinay beauty. With all the cliche people claim that theyre filipinos by heart and they have some filipino blood in them is not enough to say you represent the Philippines. You should have walked and lived the life of Pinoys before you can claim that. We have been so whitewashed with the standards of beauty. Hers is not the face you would see along the busy streets of Manila. Spray tan her but her foreign features stand out the most.

    1. Nakakahiya naman kay catriona who worked with the poor children in tondo, tigilan mo yang pagmamaasim mo. Baka nga ikaw hindi ka tatapak dun.

      Delete
    2. Walang sense sinabi mo. What is the "real" Pinay look supposed to look like? Philippines has been colonized by Spanish. Nahaluan ng blood ng Chinese, Japanese, at minsan naging US territory at marami nag OFW, umuwi at blessed with a biracial child. Learn your history, if you truly want this so-called real Pinoy, this should only be for Aetas and other tribe(s) who has not encountered and cross blood with foreign citizen, then?

  13. congrats, well deserve sya maganda yung sagot nya.

  14. Sa mga bitter dito at kuda lang ng kuda, she was born and raised in the Bohol. So kahit half Filipino lang siya, I think that makes her a Filipina noh? Why can’t y’all just be happy for other people and be proud and accepting of the fact na we’re all mixed race? Not all their candidates are bond and blue eyed and if they were, that doesn’t make them native Americans!

    1. How come the Aussie accent is so thick?

      Delete
    2. 2:31, her Aussia accent is as thick as her Bisaya accent. Her Bisaya is straight up legit. She’s from Bohol. Period.

      Delete
    3. 2:31, maybe she grew up speaking that way. Di ba pwede?

So di nga pure Filipino - pero surely there were other things in the criteria that earned her the crown.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Ok kasi Catriona and Karen dont represent the general looking pinays na mga mukhang chinses, korean, malaysianand indonesian yung beauty population nila is small, not we can see anywhere most of them here working in showbusiness and modeling and not what most filipinos do for a living as much as i want to win the general looking pinays sila kasi mostly nagexcel sa swimsuit, evening, qa sa national pageant competition. of course regardless how pinay looking they are the best girls should get the rights to represent us

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yup. Ganyan talaga. They may have some “advantages” but that’s what life deals us all. Sana lang we stop with tearing others down.

      Delete
    2. 10:49 madami naman sumasali sa pinay looking da national pageants its just these westerned pinays are the ones ang nageexcel sa lahat ng rounds ng binibining pilipinas

  22. What are the pinoys concept of a pure pinoy im pure pinoy so with my son's wife but my granddaughter has very fair skin grey eyes and brown hair so she's not pure pinoy?

    ReplyDelete
Ipokrito 'tong mga 'to.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Meh, those Hollywood celebs dont represent the Philippines. They represent themselves as artists only, not the Philippines. Being Miss Philippines is representing the country. Gets mo.

  24. I see a Filipino win and I am happy for them and a chance for one of our own to show we can! Thank you Karen and best of luck on your reign!

  25. Sa Parañaque yan nag highschool sa Olivarez College. Paano ko nalaman? She was my schoolmate before. Nanalo na yan sa school pageant at talagang may dating na siya even before. Pabalik balik kasi siya ng Australia which explains her thick Aussie accent.
