    2. Totoo naman eh. Yellow view man o hindi. I strongly agree na dapat 9 years old eh liable na sa batas.

  2. Easy for him to say. I live in an area na malapit sa depressed area.

Not all children are having the same security and protection that you give to your daughter and upcoming newborn.

Children as early as 7-10 years old are so exposed to the harsh realities of life na, especially in rural and "shady" areas. Buti lang if all crimes involving minors are reported to the police.

    2. Tama. Kc mismong magulang nagpapabaya.

    5. 12:42 hindi din effective masyado yung juvenile jail system in the US. Research show a lot of those incarcerated early become more hardened criminals. Dapat may program to give kids more productive activities, and punish parents who use them to commit crimes.

    6. Yeah, sometimes the thing with rich and priviledge people is that they can’t seem to understand the real situation because life is always beautiful for them.
As for the juvenile jail, sana mgkaroon pero mukhang malabo.

  5. True. I'm so happy may mga Pinoy na ganitong mag isip. Years ago, umalis ako sa Pilipinas dahil natakot ako na halos lahat ng kakilala ko or mga random strangers, maririnig mo na pabor sila sa juvenile detention, extrajudicial killings, etc. Not thinking na other than mas economical, mas moral ang rehabilitation and education. Programs that will close the gap between the richest and the poorest of our country. Kaso, innately, we Pinoys dont want to spend time to help our fellow. Gusto lang natin usually is one time aid instead of continuous assistance, instead of fervently praying for progress. So I fled. But I'm glad there are people like Dingdong and Diokno. Theyre very courageous. Worth supporting.

    4. 12:45 Can you please cite an example of program that will close the gap between the richest and poorest? Instead of helping to solve social issues you chose to fled. What a courageous act. Sorry to burst your bubble, but rehabilition and education are not always effective and the best solution. Praying helps but without action, nothing will happen. We can’t always expect miracles.

    5. Yun na nga they are now using kids 18 and below to be their drug runners just because they wont be going to jail anyway. Kids raping other kids di mo ba nababasa sa mga diyaryo as early as age 14 me nang rerape na. What are u talking about. Kids can smoke, drink, amd even do drugs below the age of 18 amd yet pag me mali silang nagawa i keep lang few months sa dsdwd and then be out again. Kaya namimihasa mga kabataan na yan. Nanghohold up, pick pocket, drug runners etc kasi they cant be jailed. I am a firm believer of rehabiliation but kailangan matuto ang bata sa unang pagkakamali pa lang nya para di na umulit. Sad to say they have to learn the hard way.

    6. 1:23 pano naging mayabang yung comment? Hindi ko magets yung analogy mo. Most of you supported Catriona Gray, di ba? Sana lahat tayo katulad ni Catriona magisip. Karamihan kasi sa atin, tamad tumulong. Gusto bala kaagad. Gusto ipapatay agad. Ayaw harapin yung problema. They know education is the key. And yes, education in itself is rehabilitation. Nurture not nature. And yes 1:11, Portugal was able to prove na mas makakatipid sa education at tumulong sa kapwa than war on drugs/crime. Here's the thing though, para sa mga nagreact, just because we're supporting education and rehab, it means na hahayaan na lang ang mga kriminal. It only means, humanitarian methods should be prioritised. Avoid jumping into conclusions.

      Delete
    7. 1:28 why don't you research these programs and approaches yourself? Retorting that way just shows how you can't even make an effort to see that there are alternatives. You just want to lazily challenge someone who decently expressed their opinion that doesn't jive with yours.

  13. Sorry, but Dingdong and friend, I suggest you look up the James Bulger case. I was a kid when I read about it, and I can still remember the horror of what had been done to the toddler. His murderers were ten year olds.

Fifteen is way too high. Make it nine or ten. Other countries are even seven years of age.

    1. I know this case too. What's scary is free na ngayon ang dalawang bata na yun. Showed sociopathic tendencies at an early age, committing torture and murder pero they're just out there.

      Delete
I don't know, have you heard of any minor sociopaths in our country? Most juveniles here who commit crimes ang underlying cause is poverty and lack of education. Parents weren't educated about family planning tapos hindi pa financially capable to raise kids, kaya napapabayaan.

    3. 1:31 The two were given new identities. But one of them had brushes with the law afterwards. And if I'm not mistaken, they're being monitored, which is good in some way. None of these would bring the life of that toddler though.😣

  16. Children belong to school and to a home where thay can be nurtured, not in jail. It should be law that minors should not be left on the streets unsupervised. It's the job of the government to pass laws that will care for the children. They cannot be jailed with the adults! They need to be guided and given hope and love, yung mga nasindikato and na punta sa drugs, rehabilitate sila dapat, not jailed.

    3. 2:35am: Mas madali kase iimplement yung pagpapababa ng min age of criminal responsibility.

      Delete
    4. Tama si 2:35am.

We should do something about poverty first. Try to go sa mga depressed areas, ask them about it. And you'll see na karamihan sa kanila na wala silang idea tungkol sa mga benefits na ang nakikinabang naman eh mga kakilala ni kap and other politicians.

And ipapaalala ko lang itong mga bata to may mga pangarap sila. Sadyang minsan under some unfortunate circumstances may mga bagay na kailangan nilang igiveup. So, if you'll think na may public school ekek for their education and free naman yun. Sis, super kulang yun kasi isipin mo may mga batang hindi makapasok everyday kasi walang baon, or walang school supplies.

  25. It’s good to hear that there are people like dingdong that support in protecting the children. People forget that these are children. They need to be nurtured and protected. Putting these helpless children in jail is just utterly disgusting. But that’s not surprising coming from stupid corrupt politicians who only see the easiest way but not the best solution that would benefit the children and the future of our country. These children are obviously in need of proper guidance and education. That’s where the effort of the government should be focussed. Unfortunately, I can only dream. Perhaps with the kind of mentality our government officials have, it will never happen. This country is just going down the drain.

You would not want your child molested by those hardened criminals. Yes parents are responsible but that doesnt mean the governement doesnt do anything. I mean, pwede kasi maabuso lalo na those in power to an extent. 1.

  37. I am a bit torn and I’m in the halfway point in this because I do see crimes perpetrated by children who are street smart na masyado and are aware they may get away with horrible acts because they’re young. But also wondering whether “lazy” ako into thinking this and that there should be accountability for those taking advantage of children and their innocence din. Paano nga kaya? Mahirap padalos dalos.

  38. It’s the governments responsibility to protect the law abiding citizens. It is the parents responsibility to teach their children values. So tama lang yan!

  39. Hindi ikukulong at ititreat as kriminal ang mga batang found guilty, ang tag nila is children in conflict with the law. Hindi sila ikukulong kasama ng criminals, they will be under confinement and rehabiliation. At the age of 25 papakawalan na sila kahit hindi pa tapos ang verdict.

Kakapanood ko lang sa news 🤣

  42. to lower the criminal liabilty at age 9 is another band aid solution to poverty and our flawed system of the law. heto na naman tayo, imbes na i address ang cause ng poverty at pariwarang parenting, pinupuntirya natin ang bunga ng mga mas malaking problema.

And that "law" won't be applied equally din. Marami din rich kids who commit wrongdoing (oo kahit mayaman there are teens who commit assault, big-time theft, scam other people, use drugs, rape) pero hindi makukulong kasi may pera pambayad ng abogado. Then they grow up to be rich and powerful din. Tapos same cycle, ang ipapain lang for punishment those who are poor and the rich get away scot-free - kaya wala tayo budget for proper rehab youth centers btw kasi binulsa na my corrupt rich politicians.

  44. Kaya dapat protektahan sila from adults who use them for criminal activities - that's the purpose of the law. So that may intervention at malalagay sila Bahay ng Pag-Asa under the care of DSWD.

  45. Child training started from infancy. It is the parents responsibility. children while growing up learn from adult examples because bad associations soils useful habit. Technology , social media diminished the communications between families. Having children is a huge responsibility before God. they needed not only physical, emotional, psychological but more importantly spiritual. Both parents and children must know the difference between Consequence and punishment.

Husband and wives needed proper education on how to raise responsible children. Love & peace started from home.

  46. Yun lang, less than ideal ang protection for less fortunate na mga bata. I wish there was a way to hold irresponsible parents more accountable.

  47. Over the holidays there were so many videos of abusive street children, obviously born to poverty. You could see how hard-core they have become.
