    5. May sound rude but Matteo has a point. Pag panlasang pinoy nkasanayan mo at kakain ka ng authentic italian food for example di ka masarapan kase di yun lasang nakasanayan mo but as u familiarize with the taste ma appreciate mo I guess yun ibig sabihin ni Matteo. Since its authentic di sila magadjust sa panlasang pinoy. They want you to enjoy the real authentic italian food.

      Delete

  3. It’s a review for heaven’s sakes. The food must be really bad and below her expectations. For a restaurant owner, it is quite unprofessional of him to address this complaint of a customer in such distasteful manner.

      Delete
So sino ngayon ang mali?

      Delete
    6. tama! hindi naman alam ni ate ang aunthentic italian kaya di sya nasasarapan. parang spaghetti lang yan eh pag asim eh ayaw natin at sasabihing hindi masarap when in fact maasim naman talaga ang authentic spaghetti.

      Delete

      Delete
    8. Korek ka dyan 11:11! Kaya nga matamis spag sauce natin at may hotdog hehe!

    5. Hindi naman 12.40pm. You should just know the true taste then compare it sa natikman mo or kinain mo. Kung talagang nakatikim na sya ng panna cotta from Italy then she compared it to Mateo's panna cotta baka pwedeng legit pa yung review nya or feedback nya. She said she's a fan of panna cotta maybe nga naadjust na sya sa Pinoy palates or pinoy taste ganern.

  7. One thing I learned about having my own food business, is that, we can't please everyone. Some will like what we do and some will not. We always have to be open to criticism and opinions. This would help us improve with our business. If some would not like what we do with no basis. Then we just move on and spend our energy and effort to people who appreciates us. She may have reviewed your resto 2 star. But no need to post something that will insult a person. Always choose to be the better person. ;)

    5. Di naman kelangan pumunta Italy baks! I have Italian officemates dito sa Pinas so kahit pano nakakatikim ako ng authentic Italian food pag may potluck.

14. I’ll be mad as hell. There are so so-called wanna be reviewers who don’t make good composition for their reviews. A good critic should give the pros and cons and leave a disclaimer that it is his/her opinion only and might not be true for others. Sadly, how the woman expressed her opinion is purely trash. Sorry.

      Delete
    3. Welcome 1:59. Yeah 12:10 that’s how a real critic should be. Point out what’s wrong and not just simply say “disaster” “If I could give below 1 star”. So I’m guessing the food didn’t suit her taste so she just said it was not good. Lol.

      Delete
    4. 1:42 exactly! Agree with you 100% Sadly though, some people here still think that matteo can’t take constructive criticism from the commenter. Hello, criticism lang ang sinabi nung commenter. Asan ang constructive dun. Natural maha-high blood ang matteo.

I, too, love panna cotta and living in Vancouver where there are a lot of Italian immigrants, have exposed me to different panna cotta served by different Italian restaurants here. I must say iba iba ang degree ng pagkasarap. Hindi sa pagyayabang but I have been to Italy so perhaps that makes me a good judge of a good or bad panna cotta. The taste depends on the cream, milk used and other ingredients they add to flavor it like fruits, herbs, etc . Never insult an Italian pagdating sa cooking. But of course any good Italian will not compromise his family recipe that is, if they are really using good quality and excellent cream and milk kaya siguro nagalit si Italiano.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Kung ano man panna cotta na yan at kung ano man lasa nyan is not the main point...bottom line, he should trit everyone with respect, me italian background man or wala, negative man or possitive and reviews otherwise mawawala cya nang customer.

      Delete
    2. maybe you don't know the meaning of ignorant. You've been into different places? Yah right!

      Delete
    3. Based on experience, may pagka-proud talaga ang mga italians when it comes to their cuisine.

Ano kaya masasabi sa Spaghetti with hotdogs ng Pinoy? 😂

      Delete
    4. Agree with you 2:07am!

Will he stay true to the italian recipe o i-adjust nya para sa taste ng nakararami.

      Delete
    5. 6:04 am, this is 2:07 am. Late reply but maybe you did not fully comprehend my comment. Yes, right, I have been to a lot of places outside the Philippines.

Kaya pinoy will never have a high end resto kasi masyadong balat sibuyas. Bad reviews are there for improvement 👍👍👍

  23. I think right naman ni ate magbigay ng sarili nyang opinyon bilang paying customer naman sya. To call someone ignorant parang grabeng judgemental mo naman.

    1. Mas mukhang ignorant yung Matteo. Does he even know the reviewer personally to say that she's ignorant about Italian food? Additionally, that's how it is in the restaurant/food business. People will have different comments about the food you serve.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Patikim nga ng panna cotta?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Well, the commenter naman din kasi very vague yung pagkaka describe sa experience niya. If you want to give a review, sana yung mas detailed talaga like ano lasa ng panna cotta na sinerve versus sa expectations niya. Instead, thank her and say na you'll do better next time. Attitude versus attitude ang naging labanan dito eh

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  31. Matteo came off as pikon. So, lahat na lang ba na magbibigay ng low rating, subject to this type of reaction???

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yikes Matteo cant accept criticism, but as to the commenter... italian panna cotta is different from the panna cotta we are used to.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Matteo, when in Rome. While you may have Italian blood and you're serving "Italian" food - you're not in Italy. If you don't want your food to be criticized, stop serving customers. Close your restaurant. And serve people you know won't criticize your food. Because when in Rome.

    ReplyDelete
  35. So this guy only accepts positive reviews for his so-called "Italian" restaurant?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think it depends on how a reviewer puts words into their comments. authenticity is something a resto owner would take seriously.

      Delete
    2. 4:15 yup, true. Taste is subjective, so I don’t think it really matters that she didn’t like the food. Siguro it’s like you spent 6 hours cooking your mom’s beloved kare kare recipe and then someone said “hindi masarap, konti nalang pwede nang itapon pero since ikaw ang nagluto, sige na kainin ko parin. Pero seryoso, 6 hours mo niluto to? Lasang cheapangang instant mix”

      Delete
  36. Dapat tinanggap na lang nya as constructive criticism. At nagsabi na lang sya na that's what I have in my resto. And it's Matteo's resto, not your resto.

For me wala. It's like beauty, it's in the eye of the looker. ahhaha

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. 1:18 it’s not called constructive criticism if there’s no mention of why it’s bad and what could be improved on. She basically just said food is unremarkable and questioned its authhenticity. San ang constructive don? Kung foodie talaga siya, she would know how to describe food beyond ‘remarkable’ and ‘unremarkable’.

Anyway,Please people, stop using “constructive critcism” loosely when you yourself don’t know what it means.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think he reacted that way because the reviewer questioned the authenticity of his food and therefor questioned his integrity.

If she did not like the food, she can say so pero unless she’s sure na alam nya kung ano authentic, san hindi na nag comment about authenticity ng food.

    ReplyDelete

    1. That's her review. So anong problema dun? Wala lang talagang manners yung may-ari.

    2. Yep I agree. The commenter has put his resto and its claim to authenticity by giving her biased take on the panna cotta, which,by its name itself is already italian. Pwede pa if she said is it just me? Or maybe their panna cotta doesn't fit my taste hehe but to say it is not authentic as she claims, is different.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Kasi nMam bakit sinabi ni commenter na nagki claim sila matteo na authentic tapos failure..obviously, she is tainting the name of the resto ny saying that. Eh sya tong di authentic ang panlasa lol. Wag subjective kasi ang panlalait.

BIG TURN OFF

    ReplyDelete

  48. Whatever the customer said, di dapat pinatulan ng ganun ni Matteo. He could have addressed her in a polite manner, asked why she wasn't happy with the food and what could they do to make the customer's experience better. As I have learned from one of my colleagues, there are two subjective things in the world, the food you want to eat and the clothes you wear, this two depends on the person who eat or wear them, every person has a different taste of what they want to eat and what they want to wear and nobody can dictate that, as a restaurant owner if you want them to go back in your resto you need to be respectful of what your customer think.
