Getting Harassed

The Production Team (PT) of an upcoming project of Major Artist (MA) thought of contacting Veteran Actress (VA) to give a few words for MA. MA considers VA as part of her support system and if anyone knows her since childhood, it would have to be VA. At the start of her career, VA has been there to encourage MA and has continued to do so even after MA has achieved much in her career. Hence, PT assumed that MA would surely appreciate the wise words coming from VA.

PT contacted VA and an appointment was set at the home of the latter. PT arrived early than the agreed schedule to set up equipment and find the best spot to conduct the interview. In the living room, the pieces of furniture were covered with cloth, and PT started to remove the covers. Then, they rearranged the furniture to get the good angles for the camera. When the helper told them not to touch anything, PT assured her that the living room will be returned to how it was after the interview.

An hour passed and VA had not shown herself yet. The helper said she was still in the bedroom. As the other staff arrived, they started to become impatient. Then, another hour passed and finally, VA showed up. When she saw the setup, she immediately reprimanded the helper, as she could not direct her ire to PT and the others. VA is known to be gracious after all and has a respected reputation in the industry. Then, VA walked away again.

PT and the other staff realized that they were not going to be served refreshments even though it was already lunchtime. Moreover, VA seemed to be in a bad mood and they feared that the interview might not be as pleasantly as they had planned. Thus, they slowly returned the living room to how it was and made their way out of the home of VA.

After some time, VA went down and this time, she was fully made up. To her shock, no one was there anymore and obviously, the interview was not going to push through. It seemed to be a case of tit for tat.

    1. I doubt it...

      I know how Productions work...
Always may briefing yan and during concept discussion pa lang, sinasabi na yan and for sure na-inform si talent ng mga ganun or else hindi sila tutuloy sa pag-setup.

  3. I don't get it - PT should have ironed out the details with VA. If they were going to be there early, they should have told her how early they were going to be. Likewise, they should have apprised her that they might need to move furniture. Finally, was VA even late or not? It's not clear, sabi lang an hour passed and they became impatient. I mean I'm not a fan of VA, actually tingin ko sa kanya plastic. Pero the actions of PT seem to say hindi sila professional. And bakit sila mageexpect na pakainin? Unless it was agreed upon or the host offered. Intrusive sila eh, this was a favor granted by VA to them tapos ganern. And bastos ung aalis ng walang paalam. Even if they sensed they were not welcome, the proper thing to do was advise the homeowner of their departure. So I think unprofessional lang sina PT and may pagkabastos. Kaya siguro na-bad trip si VA. While plastic tingin ko kay VA, she has always been gracious and professional.

  4. Si S and H nga ba? Oo nga naman, dapat nag pa alam muna ang PT to rearrange the furnitures. Pero ang nalowka ako eh yung furniture covered with cloth. As in draped with cloth? I know that this is done if the furniture is in storage and or that part of the room is not used or if the family will be away for long periods of time. Oh well, perhaps that part of their home, the living room is not being used regularly.

  6. mali naman kase sila. dapat PT coordinated directly with VA, saan yung interview, set up and if they can move things which they will put back after. they waited because they came early. imagine someone saying il be there by 7am then came at 6am and you were not ready yet or you have to attend to some things first di ba. PT ang rude saka dont expect people na pakainin kayo naabala na nga yung tao db. they should be the one bringing food pa nga.

  11. Unless the host invited you for breakfast, lunch, dinner or even "merienda", don't expect to be fed. A drop cloth on top of their furniture is a sign that the owner is very protective of them.

  12. Honestly... whoever VA is... it's not her responsibility to provide refreshments... because she was the one contacted to do the interview.

  15. This is S & H i think. Kahit naman sino maasar pag minove ang furnitures mo w/out permission regardless of the intent na ibalik sa dating ayos. And to expect na pakainin sila ano ba yan?!!
