Make It Real This Time
When Attractive Talent (AT) came into the industry, she had so much expectations in her career. As she developed into a competent performer, her lovelife started to bloom. Thus, she and her Actor Lover (AL) became one of the most popular couples in the industry. The public though they would end up together, but after many years, they called it off. AL had moved on and has settled down.
Love did come to AT again, and this time, he was someone who was in the same field. They seemed to be the perfect match, and again, fans rooted for them to settle down. They even did a lot of travelling together and followers looked forward to their social media posts. Then one day, the followers of AT noticed she was posting solo pictures, and she was indeed single again. No explanation was given as to why that relationship did not last. Some immediately assumed that this former lover had other responsibilities that he had to face.
Recently, AT was seen outside the country with an alleged Public Servant (PS), who is well known in his respective locale. The two were chummy with each other and AT seemed happy. Has AT finally found her true love? Despite being a politician, PS still has much privacy, as his position did not require him to campaign outside his jurisdiction.
Incidentally, AT was seen with Another Politician (AP), who happens to be very single. Those who saw them hoped they were together. AT and AP looked like they had chemistry, but as no admission or verification had come from their camps, no one really knew the extent of the relationship of the two. Nevertheless, as AT and PS are assumed together, fans are hoping that AT finally found her happiness.

The Ugly Duckling
The idea and standard of beauty that the media has created is something that I do not agree with. Lead roles and magazine covers are only for the pretty face. Fashion is not for the fat girl. And the idea that the society accepts such trends repulses me.
But what I am afraid to say is that I don’t exactly like myself. I hide behind the advocacy that beauty should come naturally, but the truth is I am simply not taking care of myself. Reunions after reunions, my relatives and friends would come to me and tell me “Uyy mag-ayos ka naman!” They would even brush my hair and joke about me having too much hair fall.
And then I got tired of it. So, I gave myself a resolution: to improve my overall wellness. I now take time to pick up my groceries and toiletries. I no longer buy junk food because I want to be healthier, not skinny. I now choose herbal hair care products because I want my scalp and hair to be strong enough to let it down, not to look like those models. I now use herbal skin care products because I want to nourish my skin, not because the media told me to do so.
I am done with being ugly, if ugly means not being conscious about your health.
Thanks for hearing my hugot, FP!

Deliver or Else
In one of the network’s projects, the production team combined the two of the country’s finest actresses, whose acting cannot be questioned. As long as a project calls for drama, the names of these actresses would always make the cut. The two are highly convincing when they play their roles. Regardless of being the protagonist or antagonist, the two could gain sympathy or hatred from the audience. However, a project also must bring in an audience that would be interested in the younger generation of talents. Earnest Actor (EA) fits this part.
The network, however, was not prepared for the reception of the project as the story developed. The ratings were becoming competitive, which means the writers have to keep the plot as interesting as possible to sustain and gain more viewers. The dramatic scenes were written out to ensure the fast pace of the story. Thus, the cast had to cope with the big scenes and deliver well especially in scenes with the two actresses.
Being the newest among the young talents in the project, EA has yet to realized fully his acting ability. Unfortunately, he has been identified as causing delay in the taping because of having to repeat the scenes more than twice. In one incident, EA could not get the required emotion, which made Senior Actress (SA) curse out of frustration. EA also has a hard time coping with the Other Senior Actress (OS) in their scenes. However, SA has allegedly expressed that she no longer wants to have scenes with EA, as his acting is way below the standard set by his colleagues.
The statement of SA added jitters to the production crew, who feared that she might just quit out of exasperation. The role of SA is important in the project and if she leaves, the story will be lame. Thus, the production is seriously considering killing off the character of EA, which could ease them of the burden of having so many delays due to retakes. Unless EA shapes up immediately, his appearance may indeed be shortened. Of course, there is a drawback. EA has a following and if his character is gone, his fans might no longer watch the drama. Consequently, the ratings might be affected and bashing might proliferate in social media. This dilemma is such a production nightmare.
‘Just because we're on schedule is no reason to shoot bad acting. Someone once said to me, 'You're inconsiderate.' And I said, 'Inconsiderate? Bad acting is the ultimate inconsideration.' It's a collective slap to a million faces at the same time.’ - Debra Winger

Philippines Will Now Require Car Seats for Babies and Toddlers
Child safety must be a priority, says Philippine TV’s sweetheart Camille Prats Yambao
To help raise awareness for children’s safety when travelling, Philippine TV’s beloved princess, Camille Prats Yambao is partnering with a well-known global quality manufacturer of baby car seats, strollers, high chairs, and baby carriers.
"I believe that safety is important, especially when we're on the road with our children,” says Prats Yambao. “That's why I am so thankful that finally, we will soon be required to make sure our babies and children are protected while they are riding in vehicles. It's also great that Joie, one of the best brands trusted by parents around the world for this purpose, is also now available here in the Philippines."
Just how important are car seats for babies and kids? According to the World Health Organization, a good car safety system with rear-facing restraint can reduce the risk of injury for children aged 0-4 by 80 to 90%. Compared to having only a seat belt, where the risk of injury for children is reduced only by 32%.
“I know that here in the Philippines, a lot of parents are not used to putting their babies and toddlers in car seats, but in other countries it has been required for a long time already, because of the safety factor. So it’s about time that we focus on keeping our children safe when travelling,” says Prats-Yambao. “Using the Joie car seat gives me peace of mind, and greater mobility too, while riding in the car. At least I don’t have to carry the baby all the time while on the road – which is less hassle for me, and keeps the baby calm and happy,” she adds.
Since 2011, Joie has been making safety products for babies and toddlers worldwide. Popular in the UK, Europe and Middle East, the company’s high quality products are now available in the Philippines through their authorized distributor, Europlay Distributor Co. Inc.
Camille Prats Yambao recommends Joie's Every stage car seat, which received the 2017 Mother & Baby Gold Best Car Seat (Group 1+) and 2016 Best Baby and Toddler Gear Consumer Choice: Gold (Group 0-1-2-3 Car Seat). The Every Stage car seat is the ultimate transporter that makes growing up easy from birth to twelve years. Grows every which way for every which stage. Beginning as a rearward facing seat from birth to 18kg and converting to a forward facing seat from 9-36kg.
Camille currently uses and loves her newest Pact Lite stroller. An exclusive one-hand fast and flat fold stroller package. One of the smallest when collapsed. Comes with a custom carry bag and strap, ready to travel even on an airplane.
“I love to carry my baby, but let's face it – when you go to the mall and you have to walk very long distances, carrying 15 kilograms or more for even just a few minutes can put stress on my back, which can actually be prevented when we use the stroller, so I really love to use it. When we visit our friends or go to other people’s houses, the baby stays in the stroller, and has her own space instead of putting her on the sofa or wherever,” shares Prats Yambao.
For the young mother, the best part is that the products made by Joie are light enough to carry, quick to store into the car trunk or small spaces, and are built to last for a very long time. “Safety begins with Joie” is the company’s motto, and for Camille Prats Yambao, that promise convinced her to partner with them.
“You can't really put a price on your children's safety, but I'm glad that Joie’s products are cost-effective and definitely worth it," she says with confidence.
