Malicious Actions of the Participant
Many kids of famous actors and actresses have tried to carve their own names and manage to get out of the shadow of their parents. However, more have actually failed, and have created lives apart from the fame of their parents.
Let’s take the case of the child of a famous couple (FC). Though estranged only in the last few years, FC have remained friends and still stayed as a couple longer than most showbiz marriages. While the husband and wife looked well individually, their kids, sadly, did not acquire as much genes to be as good looking as their parents. In fact, the wife is often teased as someone who has found the fountain of youth. While close to 50, her face still looks half of her actual age.
Their children have not really made their names in showbusiness and have managed to keep their lives as private as possible. While one of them hogged the headlines several years ago, no other news item has given them as much attention since then. Sometime ago, one of the kids decided to join a reality contest to test her limits. As this reality contest required a lot of discipline, much pressure is exerted on the contestants.
Sometimes, contestants go to the distance to make sure they have the advantage over other participants. Sadly, the child (TC) of FC went to this direction. The production team caught TC allegedly putting MSG in the food of her competition, and the nature of the reality show says such practice is not acceptable. Besides, MSG can increase one’s appetite, which places the contestants at a disadvantage. Thus, TC was immediately removed from the reality show.

Philippines Ranked 5th in the Top 10 Most Gender Equal Countries in the World
Source: www.forumblog.org
The report ranks 136 countries on their ability to close the gender gap – making sure women are not held back – in four key areas: health and survival, education, politics and economic equality.
1. Iceland holds the top spot for the fifth consecutive year, continuing to boast the narrowest gender gap in the world. Iceland’s overall score moves up due to improvements in economic participation and opportunity, as well as political empowerment.
2. Finland continues to hold the second position despite slight losses in its overall score due to a decrease in economic opportunity and participation.
3. Norway follows next, with a light increase in its overall score. Norway has just appointed a female prime minister, Erna Solberg, and is also one of the top 10 countries for the number of years during which it has had a female head of state.
3. Norway follows next, with a light increase in its overall score. Norway has just appointed a female prime minister, Erna Solberg, and is also one of the top 10 countries for the number of years during which it has had a female head of state.
4. Sweden continues to hold the fourth position. Although no country has yet achieved gender equality, all of the Nordic countries, with the exception of Denmark, have closed over 80% of the gender gap. On the whole, these economies have made it possible for parents to combine work and family, resulting in more women in the workforce, shared childcare and a better work-life balance for both women and men.
5. The Philippines moves up three places this year due to small improvements in economic participation and opportunity. The highest-ranking country from Asia, Philippines is 10th overall for political empowerment and is the only country in Asia and the Pacific to have fully closed the gender gap in both education and health.
6. Ireland slipped one place this year due to losses in economic participation and opportunity, though it remains the highest European country outside the group of Nordic economies.
7. New Zealand moved down one place, mainly due to a decrease in wages women are paid for doing similar work to men.
8. Denmark lost one place in the overall ranking this year despite an improvement in political empowerment.
9. Switzerland moved up one spot due to increases in women’s salaries.
10. Nicaragua continues to be the only country from Latin America and the Caribbean in the top 10 overall best performers.

Surprising Relationship of the Actor and the Director
WA has had his share of controversies that ranges from politics to his sexual orientation. While his acting career has reached a level of success even in the international arena, WA became controversial when he was linked with well-known thespian (KT). KT is still among the favorites of the gossip mill when it comes to same sex relationship rumors. When KT made what seemed to be a simple statement of gratitude directed to WA, who had no connection to the source of KT’s recognition at all, the public took it as a sign of some sort of admission of their special friendship. However, as KT is protected by a well-oiled publicity machine, no follow up as to what KT meant was ever made.
At present, WA is still visible on television and in movies every so often, and has kept his life quite private with allegedly a topnotch director (TD). TD is considered an institution as far as directing is concerned. Considered as a discoverer and manager of talents as well, TD is known for his dramas and ability to motivate his actors to give their best in such scenes. In fact, TD is a favorite of the best actresses in local movies throughout his colorful career.
If WA and TD are indeed an item, then could the statement of KT a few years ago actually implied something? While rumors will continue to hound KT, WA is living the life he opted to have and be happy with TD.

Chaotic In-flight Mess After Turbulence on Singapore Airlines Flight
The incident took place on a Singapore Airlines aircraft similar to the one pictured here
Source: www.dailymail.co.uk
We may have all experienced turbulence on flights, but when a rough patch is so bad that the ceiling ends up covered in coffee then you know it's serious.
Passengers on a recent Singapore Airlines flight were left surrounded by a chaotic mess after their flight fell 20 metres when it hit severe turbulence.
A total of 11 passengers and one crew member were injured on flight SQ308 from Singapore to London last Sunday.
Flight attendants were told to immediately take their seats just before the aircraft hit the turbulence

Mr Cross said the cabin crew and passengers were 'amazing' in the aftermath, as 'a calm and efficient clean-up' was underway

Alan Cross told ABC News that passengers had been warned to expect turbulence and that the breakfast service would be temporarily suspended.
A short while after the seat belt sign came on, the captain issued an abrupt order for all flight attendants to take their seats immediately.
Mr Cross said the subsequent turbulence felt 'like being in an elevator with a cut cable or free-falling from some amusement park ride.'
He said everything that was not tied down, including people, hit the ceiling.
The airline told The Australian: 'Eleven passengers and one crew member sustained minor injuries when the aircraft experienced a sudden loss of altitude and were attended to by medical personnel on arrival at Heathrow Airport. Seat-belt signs were on at the time and meal services had already been suspended.'
Within just an hour, the carnage had been almost completely tidied up and the plane was practically back to normal.
Mr Cross said: 'The cabin crew was amazing in the aftermath, as were fellow passengers who helped everyone around them then in a calm and efficient clean-up.'
He said crew checked for injuries before cleaning up the mess and gave passengers boxes of chocolates as they departed at Heathrow, where they were met by paramedics.
The vast majority of passengers are not affected by turbulence on anything like this scale, but some research suggests that unsettled flights could become the norm thanks to global warming.
Earlier this year scientists claimed climate change could result in flights from London to New York getting much bumpier in the future.
Researchers from East Anglia and Reading universities analysed supercomputer simulations of the atmospheric jet stream over the North Atlantic, concluding that climate change will increase air turbulence.
They found the chances of hitting significant turbulence will rise by 40 to 170 per cent by 2050, with the likeliest outcome being a doubling of the airspace containing significant turbulence at any time.
Dr Paul Williams from the University of Reading and the University of East Anglia’s Dr Manoj Joshi said the average strength of turbulence will also increase, by between 10 and 40 per cent.
Dr Williams said: ‘Most air passengers will have experienced the uncomfortable feeling of mid-flight air turbulence. Our research suggests that we'll be seeing the “fasten seatbelts” sign turned on more often in the decades ahead.'

Her Discourteous Behavior
Sometime ago, AA was seen visiting a tourist destination (TD) somewhere in the south. Although she was with her kids, other visitors could not help but glance at them. AA has spent almost her entire life doing television shows and appearing in movies, and thus, she has gained fans ever since she was a child actress, a host, and a dramatic performer. Through her ups and downs, her fans never left her and accepted her regardless of her choices. Her followers have aged as she has grown up in front of the cameras. Therefore, some of her fans will not let the opportunity to have their picture taken with AA.
Thus, while TD was trying to be private, some visitors approached to have their photos with her. Sadly, most of them were disappointed at the attitude of AA. She did agree to pose with a few people, but onlookers could not help but notice that AA was not smiling at all, and they could not believe that she had a very obnoxious expression. In fact, she did not even fake a smile when a female senior citizen happilyposed with her. With her behavior, AA succeeded in turning off some onlookers.
As a celebrity in her own right, AA has to play along with the whims of the times. While she can say that she was having a private time with her family, she has to acknowledge that the common folks or her fans are the ones who have supported her throughout the decades. Filipino fans are not hard to please. A smile, a quick photograph, or even a wave from a celebrity is enough to please them. If AA were not up to it, then she could have just politely turned down the request or at least pretended to smile.
The worst thing about being famous is the invasion of your privacy. - Justin Timberlake
