Willing Actors Receive a Generous Surprise

Unlike other careers, acting is one of the least stable jobs. Actors start as ordinary people and gain fame because of their uniqueness, looks, and talent. While connections help at the onset, staying in showbiz is difficult. When stardom fades, the actor has several options. First, when he/she is no longer bankable in front of the cameras, he/she can move on to other jobs in the industry. Some actors have shifted to directing, writing, or producing. Second, he/she can settle down, raise a family, and live as a private citizen with a career that is not within the realm of showbiz. Third, others who cannot accept their loss, unfortunately, turn to vices and allow these bad habits to take over their lives. Soon, they become impoverished and become favorite subjects for human-interest programs. Fourth, others keep their bodies in shape or continue to appear sporadically even if the roles are merely supporting younger talents. Finally, others have succumbed to confidential relationships, which have kept them financially afloat.
When Vain Talent (VT) was no longer in demand, people wondered what had happened to him. Some rumors said that he married and settled down, while others have subjected him to nasty tales. However, a persistent rumor is that VT is the kept boy toy of a Non-Showbiz Figure (NS). No one will dare expose either VT or NS, as things will get very messy for anyone who would. Although VT is sometimes visible in media, his career has reached its peak several years ago. Age is catching up on him and with the emergence of fresher and more talented actors, his appearances are now very rare.
Sometime ago, Fading Actor (FA) approached VT as he needed money to pay the mounting bills that have accumulated from his failed projects. As FA has no movie or TV projects and many debts, he had to try everything to keep him out of possible consequences of his actions. Knowing that NS is generous, FA asked VT for a favor again. VT had already invited FA to dance for the amusement of NS, which is the reason that FA knew what he could possibly get into. FA wanted to know if he could dance again for NS and be paid handsomely.
The response of NS was swift. He said that FA was welcome to dance again for him, but he has one major condition. NS added that he wanted more than just FA doing a macho dancer number. This time, NS wanted FA to do it with VT while he watches to his delight. Being the good friend, VT told FA what NS wanted them to do and he got shocked at the reply of FA. FA said that the condition was okay with him, as he and VT were both actors and they can just play the roles. However, he had his own terms, which was a very hefty fee, as he needed the money and the request was unexpected.
After some negotiations and scheduling, NS got his wish and the actors acted out the scene he requested. When the show was over, NS handed the payment to FA. When FA saw the amount, he was speechless, as it was more than the amount he had set. FA was very grateful and thanked NS profusely. If FA got his fee, VT did not go home empty handed. On top of his usual allowance, VT received quite an amount from NS, who was happy with what he saw and felt.

Hesitant and Seemingly Uninterested in Her Career

Entering the entertainment industry seems to be the dream of many people. Every time a network calls for auditions for potential talents, expect the long lines of children, teens, and adults. Talent agencies are sometimes approached by parents who want their child to be the next important star. Talent managers are always on the lookout for possible talents to build up. Ironically, some established names have a hard time being cast in projects even if they have a solid acting background. By contrast, some networks are consistently turned down by certain talents regardless of the quality of the project.
Some years ago, a young female (YF) and a relative lined up to audition for possible slots in the network. Both of them were signed up, as both had the face and the talent to make it big. As years passed, YF was given various roles to hone her talent. Her biggest break came in a teleserye that turned out to be one of the most popular projects of the network. The said teleserye cemented YF’s position in the business, and she was recognized as one of the most important actresses of her generation. Despite her success and rich potential, the telerserye suddenly ended, and YF dropped out of the limelight with no official statement.
The mystery of why YF disappeared at the height of her career was met with the usual rumors of pregnancy and the like. However, at that time, YF had no boyfriend. People still could not believe that YF had success at her fingertips and yet she turned her back away. Years later, YF returned to acting, but her project did not fare as much as her first major teleserye. She was still warmly welcomed by her fans, who had expected more projects for her. Unfortunately, fans were disappointed, as YF seemed to be very meticulous with her projects.
When YF finally settled down, she maintained her very low profile. She chose her projects very carefully. Sometimes, restrictions set by her husband (HH) were cited as the reason why she would rather not appear on TV or in any movie. Despite her attitude, offers keep coming her way. One of the recent offers was the role that a major network actress had to forego due to a family matter. This project was supposed to be with a late bloomer actor (BA) and someone from the past (SP) of YF.
After being told of the idea, YF said that she only has one condition to make her decide if she will accept the offer. YF requested that she would not be made to shed tears in any of her scenes. In other words, she should not have any crying scenes. Such condition seemed impossible as it already limited the possible highlights of scenes and given the nature of the project, crying might be inevitable. Apparently, this reason is always given by YF whenever she’s offered projects. A possible other reason, which production people might have overlooked, is that YF and HH might still not be comfortable with SP. Consistently as she was years ago, YF seems to be the reluctant actress despite the continuous offers coming her way.
