Screenshots of the doctor who admitted to have cheated the poor delivery boy went viral on Facebook Friday morning. Just recently, another victim confessed and send a copy of police blotter report to the Facebook page of social media icon Senyora Santibanez.

In a blotter report prepared and signed by Baguio City police, the victim Frederick Belleza, 28, was promised by a plane ticket going to Hongkong in 2013.

The victim had paid a total of 24,000 pesos for processing fee, plane ticket, rebooking and late charge fee to certain Geoff Rodrigue or John Wayne H. Villanueva.

At the time of flight, the latter was nowhere to be found.

The doctor, who uses the handle Jay Bee on Facebook, said the guaranteed Jollibee delivery time is 20 minutes.

He was able to get the discount after the delivery man got late for 1 minute when he purposely ignored a call from the receptionist informing him of the arrival.

Jay Bee has earned flak and criticisms from netizens, with some saying the amount deducted would be charged to the poor delivery guy.

Customer Threatens to Slap McDonald’s Manager If He Refuses to Sell Minion Toys

Is the customer always right?

Just recently, a man intentionally responded late to a Jollibee delivery man in order to get a discount. Netizens were angered by his insensitivity.

On July 3, 2015, another netizen named Archie Dela Torre posted a status sharing his experience at McDonald’s. He said he was demanding to purchase more than three Minion toys. However, since it was the store’s policy to only sell three Minion toys, he threatened to slap the manager in the face if his request would not be granted.

The post went viral and was even shared on the Senyora Santibanez Facebook Page which angered many social media users.

One even made a very personal comment about Archie, stating that he is living a “nonsensical, immature, and meaningless earth life.”

Another netizen said that Archie’s photo post showing his Minions collection was only taken from another website, which could put into question Archie’s claim.

As of this writing, the post has already been taken down. But, one thing’s for sure, social media does not condone injustice. The customer is always right is just a thing of the past. It’s just either you’re wrong or you’re right.

‘KISPINOY’ to Turn Pinoy Act into the Next K-Pop Sensation

The popularity of televised talent shows is on an all-time high, with Filipino viewers going all-out in supporting fellow Pinoys who showcase what they can do both on local and regional platforms.

K-pop, or Hallyu Wave, is still extremely popular with local audiences, with fans devouring anything and everything Korean they can get their hands on.  So what happens when you put Filipino talents on a K-pop search?

You have “KISPINOY.”

K-Pop stars every week

“KISPINOY,” or “K-Pop Icon Search Pinoy Edition,” is a one-hour, weekly show on TV5 that gives a platform for young, talented Filipinos to become the next big K-Pop sensation.  What’s more, for K-pop fans, the show not just features homegrown talents but a slew of K-Pop stars local fans can’t get enough of.

As a K-pop talent search, majority of the judges on the show will be major K-Pop stars. While fans are already making heated speculations on social media on which K-Pop stars will grace the show,  what would certainly get many really excited is the enlistment of Kevin Woo of U-KISS as judge for the pilot episode slated to air on July 11, at 9 p.m. on TV5.

U-KISS is, of course, the popular seven-member K-Pop group with massive hits under their belt and 10 best-selling albums to their name. The group’s members have also been seen in movies and theater.

Primer on ‘KISPINOY’

Produced by Korean producers YU&IQ International, KISPINOY is in partnership with NH Media. What makes the show unique is the fact that it is a talent search that integrates all aspects of performing on stage: singing, dancing, stage presence, personal style, and fashion.

The “KISPINOY” winner will be thrust into a whirlwind of exciting activities, beginning with a recording contract with NH Media – which molded acts like U-KISS, Laboum and Lim Chang Jung into bona fide K-Pop stars. On the way to being groomed as the newest K-Pop sensation, the KISPinoy winner will get to experience the journey every K-pop star makes when he or she also undergoes training in Korea.

Local flavor

Although the show is rooted in Korean concept and production values, there is a distinct Pinoy flavor to it as well.

“KISPINOY” marks the triumphant return of Richard Gutierrez to primetime TV after taking a much-needed break and putting his focus on his personal life. Richard is, of course, one of the more familiar faces in local showbiz, and is also seen along with his family on their very own reality TV show.

The show also pits the talents and insights of the K-Pop judges against our own local talents. Singer, songwriter, record producer and actor Rico Blanco sits as one of the judges on the show, bringing with him a wealth of insight from his days as founding member of Filipino pop-rock band Rivermaya to his skyrocketing solo career. He is no stranger to performing, whether on TV or stage.

Another judge is Gelli de Belen, an award-winning actress and TV host who also happens to be a passionate Filipino K-Pop fan.

The show may put the spotlight on talented Filipinos, but it is also being spearheaded by one of the most in-demand and successful TV show directors, Rich Ilustre. Under his direction, the TV5 talent show “Talentadong Pinoy” flourished and set the precedent for other locally produced talent competitions to follow. With “KISPINOY,” he further demonstrates his unwavering belief in the Filipino talent and tirelessly works to give those that deserve it a chance to shine.

Feel the excitement as “KISPINOY” fires up the Filipino dream and watch it burn bright on the K-Pop stage. “KISPINOY” premieres July 11 (Saturday) at 9 p.m. on TV5.

Cut This Scene!

Whenever Resplendent Performer (RP) makes a movie, expect that all scenes will involve dramatic or comical scenes with RP keeping within a safe distance from her screen partner. This plus many other restrictions are the elements that the followers of RP have gotten used to. Producers have no qualms on following these items, as a movie starring RP guarantees box office success. She is among the few who could manage to break box office records without having to show some skin or indulge in anything controversial.

Having grown up in the eyes of her fans, RP has managed to keep a very wholesome image, which is similar to the career path of a few seasoned performers who have established careers without going bold or daring in their roles. As trends in movies change, performers either have to go with the current to stay on or swim back to the shore and let their careers fade. Thus, most of these seasoned performers opted to retire from the movies rather than change their image.

RP has a stronger reason why, even if she is already of age, she will not have daring scenes. Since she started her career, a very close relation (VC) has always remained on guard. Knowing the bankability of RP and her wholesome image, VC will do everything in her capacity to make sure RP remains as wholesome as possible, even if it means spending time 24/7.

While things seemed to be doing well in one of RP’s projects, VC decided not to join RP for the day on the set. As the opportunity presented itself, the production decided to shoot a rather 'sensitive' scene with RP and her Ever Gorgeous Partner (EG). The scene went well and the reel caught RP being very intimate with her partner in a movie! Although she was not physically present, VC got wind of what happened and immediately demanded for RP to leave the shooting and to come home. Worse, VC later demanded to have the scene reshot to make sure that no such sensitive scene existed or if there would be one, that it will just be done through visual trickery.

Thus, when RP was asked if she and EG shared onscreen intimacy, all she could answer was wait for it and smile at her audience. Until the movie was shown, RP had no idea if the production opted for the first take with EG or dropped that scene altogether. No wonder her answers during were always vague.

Christian Bakers Who Declined to Make Cake for ‘Gay Wedding’ Ordered to Pay $135,000 to Lesbians

The owners of a Christian bakery in Oregon have officially been ordered to pay $135,000 in damages to two lesbians who claimed that they suffered emotionally after they were told that the bakery could not make a cake for their ceremony because of their convictions not to participate in others’ sins.

As previously reported, Aaron and Melissa Klein operate Sweet Cakes by Melissa in Gresham, which is now operated from the couple’s home after the Kleins’ shut their doors due to harassment. In January 2013, Aaron was approached by a mother and her daughter as the two were interested in a cake for the daughter’s upcoming wedding—to her lesbian partner.

“My first question was what’s the wedding date,” Klein told television station KTW in Portland. “My next question was [the] bride and groom’s name. … The girl giggled a little bit and said, ‘It’s two brides.’”

He then informed the women that the bakery does not make cakes for homosexual events.

“I apologized for wasting their time and said that, unfortunately, we do not do same-sex marriages,” Klein explained.

The women left Sweet Cakes upset about the incident, and later, one of them filed a complaint with the state. The Oregon attorney general’s office soon launched an investigation against the Klein’s as the state’s non-discrimination laws prevent public accommodations from being denied to any individual on the basis of “race, color, religion, sex [or] sexual orientation.”

But Klein states that he regularly serves homosexuals. He believes that there is a difference between serving homosexuals in general and having to personally facilitate same-sex ceremonies, which is an act of participation.

“I have customers come in almost on a weekly basis that are homosexual,” he said. “They can buy my stuff. I sell stuff. I talk with them. That’s fine. … This was not the first time we’ve served these girls.”

“We were being asked to participate in something that we could not participate in,” Klein’s wife, Melissa, noted.

Some Christians believe that being a part of a same-sex event violates the biblical command in 1 Timothy 5:22 not to be “partakers in other men’s sins,” as well as the command in Ephesians 5:7, “Be not ye therefore partakers with them.”

In February, a judge with the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries ruled that the Christian bakers are guilty of discrimination for declining to make the cake, thus moving the matter into the sentencing phase. The Kleins had expressed concern prior to the ruling that if they were forced to pay a fine for declining the cake over their Christian convictions, the penalty would “definitely” bankrupt the family.

In April, Alan McCullough, an administrative judge with the bureau, recommended a fine of $135,000, with one of the women receiving $75,000 and the other $60,000. Prosecutors had sought damages of $75,000 each.

The two women, who have been identified as Rachel Cryer and Laurel Bowman, submitted individual lists of just under 100 aspects of suffering in order to receive the damages. They included “acute loss of confidence,” “doubt,” “distrust of men,” “distrust of former friends,” “excessive sleep,” “discomfort,” “high blood pressure,” “impaired digestion,” “loss of appetite,” “migraine headaches,” “loss of pride,” “mental rape,” “resumption of smoking habit,” “shock” “stunned,” “surprise,” “uncertainty,” “weight gain” and “worry.”

But the Kleins told the court that they too had suffered because of the attacks that they received over their desire to live out their Christian faith in the workplace. They stated that they endured “mafia tactics” as their car was vandalized and broken into on two occasions, their vendors were harassed by homosexual advocates resulting in some businesses breaking ties with them, and they received threatening emails wishing rape, death and Hell upon the family. As a result, they had to close their business and move it into their private home.

This week, the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries accepted McCollough’s recommendation and fined the Kleins $135,000.

“This case is not about a wedding cake or a marriage,” the final order, written by Commissioner Brad Avakian, read. “It is about a business’s refusal to serve someone because of their sexual orientation. Under Oregon law, that is illegal.”

The Kleins told commentator Todd Starnes that they are disappointed by the order and plan to appeal.

“We were just running our business the best we could—following the Lord’s example,” Melissa Kelin stated. “I’m just blown away by the ruling. They are punishing us for not participating in the wedding.”

Aaron Klein vowed to fight Avakian in court.

“This man has no power over me,” he said. “He seems to think he can tell me to be quiet. That doesn’t sit well with me and I refuse to comply.”

Sweet Cakes by Melissa had served Cryer and Bowman for all other orders at their bakery, and even considered the women to be their friends.
