    1. No, ang mali ng iba ay hndi mali nila. There are halfies na love naman ang pinas. Genuinely.

  2. It’s infinitely frustrating the way halfies have such a foothold in this country, esp where attractiveness was central to the job requirement, even if they weren’t an asshat like this loser. The way they are scouted even. I am so tired of seeing their faces onscreen, in print. It’s so boring. I know it’s often been said before na umay na

Hindi ba weird na mas konti yung representation kung ano yung mas marami sa atin? Gets ko na may self-loathing tayo as a people, and all that entails, but our anger at this disdain he has for us (i’m sure yung iba din just not saying the quiet part loud) should be channeled into seeing more of OUR faces and bodies in these spaces (acting, modeling, pageantry etc).

  3. Philippine pageant organizers should be very strict in accepting applicants from overseas Filipino communities. (Don’t just look at the financial gains!) The contestants must show knowledge in Filipino culture and language. Because if they have knowledge in those two areas, they are aware of the values and sensitivity towards the Filipino people. Let’s admit that many contestants who came from wealthier countries are very arrogant, entitled, opportunistic and rude. And as we can see, these halfies and overseas contestants are showing their true attitudes towards pure Filipinos in the Philippines.

  4. No one can dictate? History has expectations, society has expectations - beyond acquiring a passport because of rights, being a Filipino is more than just that. Love of country, knowledge of culture, experience of the joy and pains of being Filipino, knowledge of the country's history and the willingness to do what you can for your country and countryman.
