    6. Most people naman na nasa Manila ngayon galing din sa province. Mostly from Visayas and Mindanao.

    9. October 22, 2025 at 12:38 AM my dad's family (pure tagalog) discriminated me and my sis while growing up because my mom is bisaya, in family gatherings, kame ung pulutan nila.

    10. Tagalog ako and I always try to befriend my Visayan co-workers. Pero aloof sila sa Tagalog and i feel na the aren’t comfortable with us. Basta parang ayaw na ewan. Although some would respond with warmth but not as much as when they meet new ka-Bisaya.

    12. Tagalog talaga nag start nyan dahil sa pronounciation especially ng "i" and "e".. Lol

    13. Triggered na triggered sila especially if you’re from Manila, parang laging may pinaglalaban at gustong patunayan sa atin.

We should understand that every ethnolinguistic group in our country has their own characteristic.

    15. You're a bit correct sa situation, but the war is still going on. Tagalogs started it, by MOCKERY. Bisayans retaliated by SELF-AGGRANDIZING. Old school Tagalogs/ManileƱos still mock the accent, while new Bisayans look at Tagalogs like a cheap, plastic houseplant. This culture war was further made malignant by the Duterte divisiveness.

Funny though, you don't see this in Warays and Hiligaynons. Ilonggos who tend to please Tagalogs can soften their syllables and charm with their accents, while Warays have iron-clad pride that no amount of mockery can hurt them. The result is the stereotype of Ilonggo Lovers and Waray Warriors.

    2. 342, thank you! I really don’t get the “competition.”

    3. This is the goal of social media trolls and altertrolls... to abuse, toxify and make cancerous anything that entitles respect, peace and happiness.
Expect every evil thought and intention to sprout like pimples on steroids. In person, everyone is blank and cowardly, but later at night in Meta, they're all demons from the nether regions of Hell.

On a side note, as an Ilonggo-born Manileno, I've experienced Cebuano discrimination first hand. Conducting business from higher ups to contractuals... everyone either did not talk to me, or would talk amongst themselves in Bisaya. Granted, it was in Cebu, but they were head over heels with my Australian companion. I mean, you couldn't react to my Tagalog/English but you clearly interact with an Aussie accent? It doesn't sound as harsh here, but in reality it was really a 'nakakabastos' experience so I decided to move the event (Digital Nomad Hub) elsewhere.

  11. It’s sad reading the comments above. Philippines is really hopeless, with its citizens so divisive and competing with each other.
