  1. Sigh. Panoorin out of curiosity.

Mali yun. Pwede sila makasuhan nun ah. I remember in the 90s. Si Kris was a massacre movie queen. Aside from the legalities, to give the movie some credibility dapat they have spoken to or referred the film to at least one relative of the deceased in the film

  2. Apo pala ni Manuel L. Quezon si John.

    2. Nag release na ng statement ang prod ng movie saying that their story was based on research and historical events.

  3. Disappointed with Jericho for trying to silence the descendant of Quezon .

    1. If there's a time limit, or merong rule na one question per person, Jericho was just trying to ACCOMMODATE everyone. Kung gusto ng apo ng discussion, eh di mag setup ng meeting, hindi ung harbatin nya ung buo or mostly ng Q&A 🙄

  4. So, the producers did not consult the Quezons for this biopic? That's basic courtesy sana. I know Manuel Quezon's story is indeed for public consumption pero sana nagpasintabi sa mga descendants. I'm sure the grandson of Manuel Quezon has heard stories from his mom na malayo sa pagka-interpret sa movie. A biopic should be a combination of facts and creative freedom while ensuring that the descendants are given a heads up on how the producers will portray the story.

    1. So kapag nag produce ng biopic of the real life of the Marcoses, dapat mag paalam sa family? Do you think papayag sila? Based on research and facts...It is from an objective point of view while obviously, the apo ,was being subjective..

    1. A katotohanan lumalabas pag nag interview ka ng different sources. Sabi nga there are 2 sides of a story.

  6. Werent they aware of the filming? Could have raised concerns during that time the time the project was announced.

    1. Obviously the family was not consulted. Confirmed ni John. Even if they reach out to the production team, hindi naman nila ma demand na kausapin muna sila.

  7. They have to accept that these people are hostorical characters and former public officials, they belong to the public domain. Nasa history books nga sila eh. They also need to understand that Quezon was not a perfect president. May flaws siya bilang tao at lider. Kung gusto ng mga kaanak ng perfect portrayal, they can produce their own film glorifying Quezon.

Just watched a TV5 docu on Quezon. They interviewed his grandson - not Ricky. Sinabi ng grandson that his lolo is known for his short temper. Just shows hindi biased ang family. They will complete the story.

    1. The family may not have a say on the final script but at least they should have been interviewed. There are things not written in history books but only the family knows.

  10. Hays… sana na consult man lang! Reminds me of the netflix ed gein, he’s sick, true, pero puch dun sa series sobrang dinagdagan! Pati body count nya. He isn’t even proven a serial killr.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Theh did not consult his family, the direct descendants. Naturally, they will feel insulted with that kind of rendition. Respeto man lang sana. Give the dead dignity.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Jericho tried to block you? He just merely said na it was not the right time to discuss it, because you were being verbally abusive. It was the 3rd time you watched but you did not react this way the first two times. Jericho was right, you were the one out of place.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Nope. Jericho was incredibly condescending. The woman who was trying to talk over to the speaker was incredibly rude as well.

Maybe the third time was the only chance he had to directly speak to the team behind the smear campaign.

Either way, it was very unethical to create a biopic without any permission from the family of the deceased.

    2. 10:22..Condescending how? If at all, he was just getting a reaction from his rude action..Apo ng dating Presidente ganyan umasta..IYKYK

    1. I watch it, and to answer your question yes it shed light to who quezon is. 2 hrs 15 mins medyo boring mid part go watch

The movie was about him as a public official, a president which is well documented by historians. Ang daming resources and may reading guide pa sila. Public historical figures sila. May info about them with or without input from family kaya buuin yung story.

      Delete
    3. I watched it. Lumabas na manipulative, power hungry and gusto sya ang bida parati para manalo as president.

      Delete
    4. 1052, your description is also applicable to most politicians. May certain commonalities sila lalo na sa propensity to manipulate and be front and center of events. Their lolo was a politician, hindi santo. Ano inaasahan nila, mala mythical figure?

  14. Wow John Arcilla is part of the Quezons pala.

  15. Yan ang mahirap kasi ok may nakasulat na aa history but di naman tayo sure if that's accurate, no one is kasi patay na yung mga gumawa, may version ang family, may version and historians so iba iba talaga

Kasi claimed as something siya, most people would see it as truth, pero mali kasi hindi enough research. They should have done it from all angles and maybe it could have shown a bit of the truth, not just their side or a standard version sprinkled with drama for theatrics.

      Delete
    2. 10:25.bit of truth? A lot of truth nasa movie kaya nga galit ang apo kasi from their perspective syempre hero lolo nya .Kahit ikaw kung love na love at idol mo tatay mo dahil asa nakikita mo sa bahay nyo o kwento ng nanay mlo.., so personal and subjective opinion mo yan.. pero sa trabaho or wherevr ay iba tingin sa kanya based on his performance as an employee..

  16. Woah interesting nga ang Juan Luna biography, talented killer

  17. This statement from John Arcilla! He didn't defend Jerold Tarog & TBA Studio. Sigurado alam nya na may mali sila.

  19. OA lang sila sa totoo lang

    The CROWN nga ng Netflix

NO Reaction lang ang royal family

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The Royal Family has a huge PR team to protect their image. Walang ganyan ang Quezon descendants who are very private. Wala silang clout like the actors and the movie.

      Delete
May dugong palaban. Hindi nya basta mananahimik lang.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Go figure, John Arcila is a Quezon descendant too?

    ReplyDelete
  22. The correct term is historical fiction like what they did in the movie 'The Other Boleyn Girl' na pag napanood mo yung comments ng mga historians allegedly ang daming dinagdag dun sa characters for 'dramatic' purposes. The thing is we should be very careful in playing with the legacy of historical figures kasi karamihan naman ng mga manonood eh hindi naman mga artsy na tao and they will take what thy see even in films na supposedly are based on true story as gospel truth.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Naku paano na ang next movie? Kung totoong Magsaysay, humanda sila. Mas maraming buhay na descendants yun.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I’m sure, lahat ng descendants ng mga nakaraan maski ng kasalukuyang presidente eh gustong alalahaning magaling at walang bahid dungis Ang kamag-anak Nila…corrupt man sya, mandarambong, walang-alam sa tamang governance O pumapat@y

    ReplyDelete
  25. Then it is not a biopic, historical fiction siya. Which means they took creative freedom. For that, they would have had to ask or let the family know. If they insist this was the true MLQ, then rhe family has the right to cry slander. Creative freedom won't protect the producers or directors.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Saw the reaction of Ricky A. Too much and he is very rude. Descendant ka mga ni Quezon! Films are made based on the creator. It is always not exactly 100% true. It is art and an expression and interpretation of the artist! OA naman! Nag grandstand lng.
