Sa experience ko, they will make an announcement muna requesting for volunteers. Usually volunteers are given additional flights, bukod sa you'll be scheduled sa next flight. Tas sometimes hotel accomodation. I volunteered twice na. She is bumped off because the flight is overbooked not because of celebrity family.

Our family of 6 went to Japan using PAL and we had a not so good experience with them. So next time we’re going overseas, we will make sure not to use PAL.

Honestly, I’ve had this thing with PAL for a while. Whether you’re economy or business, you’ll get kind service, sure, but not to the extent of service Thai Airways or the like give. PAL crew members are always nice but for the reputation our hospitality is, it’s really not the best. They’re altogether nice but too casual, as if they didn’t go through premium hospitality classes. It irks me that they’re our flagship carrier and they can do so much more but are content with an “OK!” when asked for something onboard. Compare that with an “of course, no problem” with another full-service airline. Not asking to be treated like royalty but we could do so much better.

Sunshine could have used her position of influence as celeb to call out airlines from this kind of practice pero hindi eh asal squatter lang na inaway ako gawa mo so aawayin din kita.

PAL officer actually replied, unapologetic apology 😂 saying na they were bumped off bec they were the last to check-in daw so the girl reiterated that she checked-in online 24hrs before flight. Kaya sa e-mail na nila tinuloy ang usapan kase napapahiya na si PAL.

ReplyDeleteHonestly, I’ve had this thing with PAL for a while. Whether you’re economy or business, you’ll get kind service, sure, but not to the extent of service Thai Airways or the like give. PAL crew members are always nice but for the reputation our hospitality is, it’s really not the best. They’re altogether nice but too casual, as if they didn’t go through premium hospitality classes. It irks me that they’re our flagship carrier and they can do so much more but are content with an “OK!” when asked for something onboard. Compare that with an “of course, no problem” with another full-service airline. Not asking to be treated like royalty but we could do so much better.
