Love or career? That question is often faced by celebrities who suddenly find themselves between two important aspects of their lives. While talents would defend choosing work, others would willingly forego their achievements to keep their significant others.
When Charming Celebrity (CC) scored well in a hit project, her fans were not surprised as CC is known to give her best to her craft. CC’s prowess as an actress was again tested and she passed every scene with flying colors. The bonus is that another project was planned with Attractive Boy (AB).
The producers wanted to please fans by pairing CC and AB. Initially, no problems were encountered. That situation was too good to be true. As CC and AB were becoming a strong pair, she found herself in a dilemma.
CC and AB were supposed to start a project overseas. The filming meant CC would be far away from Her Lover (HL). Allegedly, CC and HL were already having discussions concerning AB in private even if publicly, HL was the ever-supportive partner. CC aired her concerns with her handlers. HL was worried that CC’s spending time with AB might jeopardize their relationship. They listened to her.
Meanwhile, CC is spending time on her own projects. She and AB still have projects and endorsements lined up. Given HL’s alleged feelings, CC seemed inclined to choose her heart and let go of what could have been, career-wise, with AB.

Minsan kasi kahit anong tiwala mo sa jowa mo, lalo pa't si CC is on top of her game now tapos si AB ang kasama sa taas, kakabahan talaga yan na she might get swayed and biglang magka-feelings eventually. Much as he wants to be supportive, lalabas at lalabas talaga ang insecurity niya.

ReplyDeleteIt’s 2023 and I still see some level of misogyny and gender bias here. It’s always the female who has to adjust to a territorial and possessive male. If the situation was reversed, he would choose his career and that I’m certain of.
ReplyDeleteThey’re not married yet but they’re already so territorial and possessive with each other. Is that really love? I don’t know about you but if you truly love your partner, you will let her fly even if could mean, she will not fly back to you anymore, for argument’s sake. Love should be fought for but you should also learn to let go and see if that love will come back to you and is truly meant for you.

ReplyDeleteIt’s possible the guy didn’t really make her choose, but because there’s something weird and undeniable going on, they had to assess if pushing through with the project might strain the relationship (just them knowing they’re just human, with our doubts and intuition and falling victim to fate, and all.) Feel a bit bad for D as this could have been ridden on his big break, but B must have her reasons. Because of her talent, she might not want to be typecast in a love team esp with someone who’s not her real-life boyfriend. Probably also thought the hype might die one day and she might risk losing her real life love for a short-lived screen romance. Sayang though could have given the public a little bit more of their onscreen chemistry.
