  1. It could mean like that but based sa design ng event parang LITERAL na BLACK AND WHITE EVENT siya.

    2. Alice, you are so beautiful. Why are you so starved for attention? This is not the first time na naissue ka ng ganito

      Delete
    3. What's the big deal anyway? She looks gorgeous.

      Delete

      Delete
    6. 12:50 research din po minsan. Pag sinabing black and white event, kasama na po attire dun.

      Delete
    7. Afterthought na lang yan. Yung interview nya sa red carpet, sabi nya she knows daw na black and white ang motif but pinili nya canary yellow. Intentional yan.

      Delete
    8. Akala nya ata black hair is enough na. Hahaha

      Delete
    9. Palusot pa eh. well you were an eyesore cause everybody was wearing Black or white. You stuck out like a sore thumb. Inamin nya kaya na she chose to wear that ugly yellow gown kahit alam nya na black and white ang motiff. Pa-different, papansin, KSP!

      Delete
    10. @3:18...hindi yung pagiging gorgeous nya ang issue...

      Delete

      Delete
    12. Black and White Event doesn’t mean you just wear black period

      Delete
    13. 10:13, magsama kayo ni Alice.

  4. My gosh dami talagang ignorante sa Pinas.

  6. The same site you got the information from and same article highlighted on the post also says to respect the black and white theme and only wear black and white. Not purple, NOT not black and white.

    1. Truth.

  7. The same article Alice quoted explains that a black and white event means these are the only color options and guests should honor them.

She's too old to not know this, and as a former beauty queen these are some of the basic knowledge she should have learned - sabay ng which fork or spoon to use.

She looked beautiful, not following instructions lang. Kung exam to, kahit tama sagot pag not following instructions mali pa din :)

    ReplyDelete

    1. Ok but it’s not so relax

    2. 9:11 AM - So pag exam lang kelangan sumunod sa instructions?

    2. Haha. I remember that. Parang nainis mga hosts. Hindi na sumunod sa dress code to. I googled it Black and White talaga black and white lang, also pwede all black or all white daw. Never other colors. Pasaway!

      Delete
    3. 12:56 In short, PASAWAY lang talaga si Alice.🙄

      Delete
Bala gusto nya talaga napapansin sya.

      Delete
  9. Non issue naman to. Ang inportante you made an effort to look your best sa event.

    ReplyDelete

  12. That yellow dress wasn’t even close to white

    ReplyDelete
  13. Sorry but I think Alice Dixson failed to read the whole article of what she posted. The article’s headline is Black & White Party Etiquette written by Debbie Mayne in the spruce.com website. And the sub topics title How to Dress for a Black & White Party clearly says “Dont wear any color other than black or white. This includes handbags, shoes and jewelries”. Had she read the whole article, she would not have come wearing a yellow gown.

    2. On point 1:14 PM. Pinipilit lang ni alice makahanap ng loophole na malusotan niya for her blunder

      Delete

      Delete
    5. True, I super duper agree with you.

      Delete

    ReplyDelete
  15. I think there would have been a paper invite. Yung pinakita nya parang text lang or message lang ng staff just as a heads up. Impossible sa dami ng tao dun they all got the theme correct Tapos sya lang Hindi? It looked deliberate

    ReplyDelete
  16. Gusto lang maging centerbof distraction ni tita.

    ReplyDelete
  17. For me di rin kasi malinaw yung invitation.

Ano ba nman ung mag black or white ka. Eh npka-layo ng shade mo. Gusto mo lang talaga, maiba ka. Naku next time huwag ka na sana ma-invite.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Si Ateng Alice…nag google nga hindi naman binasa yung buong article…first paragraph pa lang and I quote “ with all of the guests dressed in their finest black and white attire.” underlined pa yang black and white attire ha. Tapos sabi wearing black and white so no one would clash with anyone. Oh well, tapos na event. Either she didn’t read the invite beforehand, o hindi niya inintindi or mali pagkaintindi niya or gusto lang niyang ma OP este mag-stand out (or down? Hehe). Ganda ka pa rin naman Ateng!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Mukang hininto nya pagbabasa nya sa 1st paragaraph.. There are proper etiquettes in a black and white event.. If only i could post a screenshot here, but how to dress in such event, you should not wear any color besides black and white.

    ReplyDelete
  22. With the right styling, makeup, hairstyle suitable for her age and figure, no need for an agaw eksena colored outfit. That face is enough to steal the scene na sana. Bottomline: hire the right stylist.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Maybe she mistook it for a ‘black tie’ event, that usually means men wear tuxedos/suit and women wear formal evening gowns of any colour. A black and white event means you have to wear black and white. There is no such thing as a black and white event where you wear different colours, it doesn’t mean anything else but wear black and white. Not bashing her but, I think she is wrong on this one.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I’m just curious. Where there others NOT wearing Black or White for the event? Was she just singled out? If in fact NO ONE else wore colors outside of Black or White, then her stylist / glam team really are at fault. It must have been sooo awkward for Alice during the party.

    1. 5:35 AM - The others who didn't follow the dress code, didn't post a lengthy look at me I'm right post on social media :)

    2. Siya lang po ang hindi naka-black and/or white.

      Delete
  25. baka sinadya niya talaga mag yellow gown to standout. common sense lang haba ng explanation pa niya.

hindi ba akward all wearing black and white siya nag nining na yellow :) standout ka talaga ate ;)

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  27. Papansin at mag ye Yellow para mapag usapan sya. Nag work naman.

    ReplyDelete
  28. It says black and white event Alice not black tie event 🤣 black tie event means the women can wear floor length gowns of any color while black and white should be those colors lang

    ReplyDelete
  29. Natawa ko sa gatecrasher daw sya. Naligaw at ibang party dapat pinuntahan.

    ReplyDelete
  30. As long as you're not wearing your pajamas, you're good :) :) :) She is, after all, Alice Dixon :) :) :) And Alice Dixon can and will wear what she wants to wear :) :) :)

    1. 6:15 AM - so either Alice Dixon means she has poor comprehension or Alice Dixon is direspectful. Like sinabi na black and white event, nag yellow. Ah - she is after all an Alice Dixon.

    2. @2:21 PM, I see it as flexing her clout :) :) :) Did she get thrown out? :) :) :) Nope. Did she get barred from entering? :) :) :) Nope. She got all the attention she needed and broke all the rules :) :) :) Now, that's power my dear :D :D :D

      Delete
    3. 11:46 PM - she only gained 15 seconds of fame. This didn't pull in more money for her projects, didn't land her a starring role and is unlikely to land her a big endorsement contract. She wasn't thrown out because no one does that at these functions even if they didn't follow the dress code. 15 seconds of fame hardly translates to any real power she can monetize or use elevate her dimming career. A Judie Dench or Helen Mirren she is not. She's not even a Betty White. This is more like a very brief one hit wonder. Now that's reality my dear :)

  31. I think ang pagkakaintindi ni Ms. Alice, and what she tries to defend herself with is that, she was invited to a "BLACK-TIE EVENT" - where men are usually expected to wear tuxedos and women with floor-length gowns (not necessarily in black). So kung B&W event ang sabi sa invites ni GMA, it means, yun lang talaga colors na pwede. Unless, the one who wrote it meant it to be a black-tie event.

    ReplyDelete
  32. It’s either she didn't verify the contents of the article she was quoting and merely taking the face value of the Google search preview, or she cherry-picked parts of the article to suit her defense. Either way, she’s just making excuses. She also sounds like confused between 'black & white' with 'black tie'. Give it up love nagkamali ka. People already were already forgetting it, nirevive pa talaga.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Ganun din tingin ko. Hindi clear sa kanya yung black and white to black tie. Pinanindigan na lang niya instead of admitting her faux pas.

      Delete
  33. Also from the same website she quoted, "If people show up in something other than black or white, be gracious and don't call attention to their lack of understanding, or you may embarrass them. They'll know next time."

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  35. Ho-hum. Hatalang sadya para mapagusapan. It's been weeks at wala namang clamor for an explanation. Ni hindi nga nagtrending o whatever.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Ms. Alice, you failed to read the entire article.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hina comprehension nyo. Aral Muna 🤣

    ReplyDelete
  38. Alice ha.. madaya ka. Lol. Sa same article, eto din ang sabi…

How to Dress for a Black and White Party
Honor the black and white theme by wearing what the invitation states. It would be disrespectful to show up in a purple ensemble, and the host might remove you from the next party's guest list.

Don't wear any color other than black or white. This includes handbags, shoes, and jewelry.

    ReplyDelete

    1. 9:04 for me, its okay to have different color ang accessories, bag, or shoes as long n nakakadagdag appeal or tumutulong ito s kabuuan look and/or naeemphasis p lalo ang damit. For example, black dress with gold accent (through necklace). Ganyun.

  40. Lol di nya binasa ng buo yung source nya. Nakalagay don - wear black and white and the goal of this theme is focused more on style than splash of color. The question is if its formal or informal. Pag evening ang event, formal.

    ReplyDelete
  41. LOL feeling entitled si teh! So are you saying everyone who attended the ball didn't know ano proper na suotin and ikaw lang nakakaalam ganun?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hahahahah somebody didn’t get the memo! I still love her.

    ReplyDelete
  43. maliit lang ang showbiz. maraming chika for months about the party. maririnig at maririnig niya ang black and white clothes chika from friends, stylists, designers, beauticians, etc. unless she is living in a bubble.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  45. Unfortunately in the Philippines, black and white event and RSVP has a completely different meaning! Black and white is not an “extra formal” event but literally wearing black and white and RSVP, is just extra words,
people does not take it to heart to confirm!😂

    ReplyDelete
  46. She wanted to be different and be the center of attention sadly, she came out as an eyesore and no longer relevant!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  49. If they say "BLACK TIE PARTY" then it means formal attire and they are not specifying what color to wear but if it's a "BLACK & WHITE EVENT", it means you'll wear black/white.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Correct ka naman. Kaya lang may theme din kasi. Old holywood glam. Flapper Girls in the 1920's had colors of black/gold.

      Delete
  50. Ang hirap para sa kanya na maki-cooperate sa black & white. no need to define the black & white event, take it as is. If ayaw sa theme, sub with subtle color, hindi kagaya ng screaming color na suot nya.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Gusto lang niyang mag-stand out yun lang yun. Anyone can easily understand what a formal black and white event is without reading about it. Unless gusto mong ikaw yung center of attention, you'll wear a totally different color.

Lol

    ReplyDelete
  54. I don’t think tatawagin yun na Black and White Event for nothing. It’s kind of obvs na yun dapat ang motif. Nakahanap lang sya ng scapegoat. Hehe. She looks so radiant and gorjas tho ha, sa age nya she’s still very pretty!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Huwaat? Lol! She explained herself when she was interviewed after being introduced justifying her yellow gown.
That she knows its a black and white event but she and her couturier opted for yellow.

    ReplyDelete
  56. sinadya mo naman talaga. Binanggit mo pa nga. First time mo ba magpunta sa ganyang event Alice?

    ReplyDelete
  57. Palusot dot com lol

  66. a black and white party ia a more formal event. As long as you wear a long formal gown or a suit, you are properly attired. Most of you here are so LITERAL assuming that everyone should wear black and white, ha ha ha.

You would think a woman who, a lot would consider a veteran actress, would be humble enough to clarify or ask other colleagues what they plan to wear or ask the staff details of the party..she could have ask her manager or her handler to do it for her. But no. She continuously acts like a diva. Bakit kaya hindi nawawala ang ere nya.
