    3. Mula Noon Hanggang Ngayon is here OPM so far. Bakit Labia Kitang Mahal is her cover.

    4. Sobrang demanding ng mga tao.

    6. Wala nga! Lahat remake.

    7. 12:43 Umm kanino nakapangalan yung concert?

      Delete
    8. Meron naman, MULA NOON, HANGGANG NGAYON is one of her originals OPM song. Sana man lang may areglo sya nito na updated or making it sound musical fit to her genre o forte.

    9. Are you nuts? Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal???

      Delete
    10. duh sobra lang kayong entitled. may mga foreigners sa audience, she should stick to english all entries.

Concert nya yon so sya mag d.decide kung ano gusto nya kantahin. Them as audiences should learn to appreciate her talent regardless ano pa kantahin as long as maganda ang performance. Paka entitled ng mga audience nya I pity her.

      Delete

      Delete
    3. Lea’s audience cater more of A and B crowd, then if you are going to watch her concert most probably all her repertoire are all English songs. She is a big international star compared to the likes of Sharon and Regine they can sing Tagalog songs because that’s their forte and I think stipulated sa contract between promoter and artists that they will sing Tagalog songs for our “kababayans”or Filipino fans.Lea Salonga is basically based international so she has her own standard /she owned it.Please adjust din po tayo ng ugali po minsan.

Nagrequest and audience. Tagalog song. Dedma ang Lola Leah. Pinapakanta lang ng Tagalog "BAKYA" na agad? So BAKYA ang mga Tagalog songs?

      Delete

      Delete
    8. 1:10 duh...binabayaran mo ang performer for them to entertain you, not the other way around. That's their job, to please their audience. I don't see anything wrong kung pagbigyan niya ang mga tao doon. Isang kanta lang, susme. The fact is, mga taong katulad mo na ang tingin sa songs na "Tagalog" ay BAKYA should be ashamed of yourselves. So sinasabi mo na bakya ang Tagalog?Internalized racism talaga. Do you think Koreans view their mother tongue as bakya, diba hindi.

      Delete
    9. sino ba dyan nagsabing bakya? ang sinabi lang naman eh entitled pinoys. kung ano ang mga kinanta irespeto nyo. wag yong demanding! why not enjoy the voice and the performance na lang?! makapangbash lang ganern?

      Delete

  4. Am a super fan and I make it a point to watch her concerts here. There’s even a time where I was 100% clueless on all the songs she sang in one of her concert. But I came there to listen to her music not expecting that she’ll sing my fave songs or songs I know/relate with

    ReplyDelete

      Delete
Magandang may full disclosure prop

      Delete

    9. Um, she became well known in the Ph after she was recognized for her talent abroad. Hindi fans niya but talent po, 4:58.

      Delete
Maybe people from broadway know her.

Anong klaseng support yun?

    14. 11:32 I live in the U.S. and I'm telling you she really doesn't ring a bell to a lot of people. They know Manny Pacquio, Imelda Marcos, Rodrigo Duterte, but not Lea. Sorry but that's the truth.

    3. And why is that?

      Delete
    4. madalas kamo lalo sa socmed nagkakalat tlga.

      Delete

      Delete
    6. 10:30 Enrique Iglesias is a Latin pop icon, meaning his career depends on pleasing the mainstream public and giving them the songs they want to hear.

      Delete
    7. 10:30 mataas kamo ang tingin sa English. Hahaha. You have a point there.

So walang sense comparison mo! Add na may lahi ding Pinoy si Enrique Iglesias pero never kumanta yan in Filipino.

      Delete

  10. Last comment above clearly doesn’t know how famous Lea is. She doesn’t only draw a Filipino audience; she’s very well respected in the Broadway industry, maraming ibang lahi ang nanonood ng concerts niya. The sense of entitlement is embarassing!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Exactly.! If you watch her videos on YouTube you will see a lot of comments from different nationalities talaga and not just Filipinos. She is known worldwide! Anyone who is into Broadway know who Lea Salonga is. Very well respected and extremely talented. There's no one like her. It's a shame I've never seen her broadway shows and can only watch via YouTube. Tsk

  11. Mga hypocrite! Todo nood naman ng kdrama o pupunta pa ng concert sa kpop which i dont get. I' d rather go and watch lea cz she's pinay with REAL talent. She may sing in english for all i care, eh she's always here in pinas naman doing shows if needed. Kaso mas in demand din cya sa ibang bansa. Kaya nakakatawa yung last comment who had no idea how high calibre lea's talent outside pinas. She is a big deal.

I don't like koreans, they look down on people of color.

    2. What makes you think that those who booed Ms Lea are K-Pop and K-Drama fans?

Kundi isa syang theater actor. Kaloka!

    1. They we're not asking her to sing pop. The audience asked her to sing a Tagalog song. I don't think you understood the story.

      P.S. My foreign co-workers don't know her.

      Delete
    2. 3.37 why the emphasis on your co-worker not knowing her. iba naman market ni Lea even sa Philippines. Hindi siya mainstream. perhaps you can check an FB post sa Disney page and see the good things ppl from other countries say about her. tas tayong mga Pilipino naghihila sa kanya pababa

      Delete
    3. 337 I hate to be blunt but Lea's talent is not for everyone. She is doing broadway and theater. It is for cultured people and usually mayayaman ang mahilig sa ganyan.

      Delete
    4. 4:34 Cause 1:16 said she is probably more popular abroad. I live in the US and a lot of people that I know who are not filipino don't know her. That's the truth. So it's not true that she is more popular abroad.✌

Meron akong live album nya na "Songs From Home" dun maraming tagalog songs syang kinanta pati sa "Songs From the Screen" may version sya ng "Ikaw" at "Tukso."

    ReplyDelete
  21. Lea was a pioneer, a Pinoy national who made it in Broadway and her decades of work paved the way for other Pinoy artists to break through internationally. Ngayon she is being scolded for "not representing the country" and "not being patriotic" enough?? Alam nyo ba pinagsasabi ninyo?

Hindi naman yata sila asking for full-on pinoy repertoire, 1 or 2 siguro as a nod to home to please kabayan audience, expose non-pinoy audience to pinoy song (a lil diversity) and display some agility. Win-win di ba?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I totally agree! The people that made bad comments, insulted other filipinos and took Lea's side are the 'typical bakya filipinos'.
They don't get it that when pinoys do a concert in other countries, majority na nasa audience ay pinoy. They went to the concert dahil pinoy ang artist and some of them misses their mother country so it will be an honour for them to hear filipino songs.
I think Lea Salonga is partly to be blamed. It is so selfish of her to not even sing 1 filipino song for the audience, who paid money just to see and listen to her. If not for these pinoys flop show niya. Well, she is not that popular anymore kanya lang sya pinapanood dahil walang ibang pinoy na mag concert sa abroad.

      Delete
    2. 709 yong last sentence mo teh. just shows ur a hater. u cannot pull down a damn good woman down by ur ugly comments. shes a real gem, much more pricey than any other filipina talent when it comes abroad.

      Delete
Feeling mo tlaga ganyan kacheap c Lea. I cannot…😂

      Delete
    4. 0709 true I agree with you! They support by watching kung sino ang pupunta para mag concert just to get the Pinoy vibe na magkasama sama ang mga pinoy but it doesn't mean gustong gusto nila yung singer. Too bad Lea didn't listen to what her audience is requesting.

      Delete
    5. 1008 get real.. i agree with 709. kung totoong puros foreigner nasa concert nya maniwala ako. pero since most of the people who watch her are Filipinos she should know her audience. ang grabe ng mentality ng Filipino na tulad mo. yung Koreans nga natuto mga fans magkorean para lang kantahin songs nila. tapos theyll perform their songs. walang foreigner na di kakanta ng sariling wika nila. NOT EVEN ONe??? as if naman foreigners talaga nanonood sa kanya. do you honestly believe leah would have come home had she been getting lots of gigs or job offers or roles during the times nasa philippines sya? get real.

      Delete
    6. My issue as well. These people can just say that Lea’s more known for her English songs and go. Hindi bakya ang wikang Filipino, as well as the other dialects in our country for that matter.

      Delete
    7. duh her concert her choice! wag kayong mga entitled dyan! sana don kayo nagsusumiksikbsa concert nina regine at sharon kung gusto nyong magkaraoke!

      Delete
    8. 7:06 tigilan mo yang her concert, her choice, kanina ka pa. Singers are paid to entertain! That's their job. Kung hindi mo gustong iplease ang audience then might as well do a private performance na siya lang ang nasa room. Audiences will always expect to hear something from the performer, kung hindi mo kayang iplease ang audience then what's the point. Kahit gaano ka pa ka talented if walang supporters wala sila. Fantard ka lang.

      Delete

    1. Lea needs to innovate if she wants to remain relevant. Her genre is not for the regular audience. It's mostly people who like Broadway would appreciate her. If she won't cater to what the regular community wants, maybe she should just stick to broadway shows in New York.

      Delete
    2. She doesnt need to innovate to please pa woke people.

      Delete
    3. Who said she wasn't relevant, ikaw? Puro guesting nga sya sa US shows ngayon eh. If you are attending an international show of Lea Salonga you should already know what to expect - mainly musicals and broadway ballads, dahil yun ang niche nya as a celebrity abroad. E di malamang yung setlist nya ganong genre.

They said she is BORING. Anyway let's see kung panoorin pa mga shows niya dito sa states lalo nat nabalita na boring pala concert niya. Dun magkaka alaman.

      Delete
    5. 3:30 when I said guesting sa US shows I meant she gets invited to be a special guest star on American television shows (pretty little liars, centaurworld, crazy ex girlfriend), so obviously matunog talaga ang pangalan nya with certain audiences. If you think a few "boring" concerts will make her irrelevant, sorry but Lea's star is bigger than that.

      Delete
    6. 330 then, be it. Yang sinabi ni 603 is true. Known c Lea singing a certain genre of music. Bakit kayo namimilit dyan sa gusto nyo? Hindi rin nman kayo pinipilit na manuod. Lol, kaloka! She is doing that for decades already.

      Delete
    7. I watched one of her concerts in the Phils and I can attest she was boring. Sure she sings well and has a really nice voice but lacking in audience camaraderie/rapport/interaction, no costume change etc. And while I was aware that she will sing songs from Broadway, she sang songs that are unpopular and only a true blue theatre goer will appreciate.

Parang first time nila maka-attend ng event from a famous personality at pinag-ipunan nila ng matagal yung pambayad kaya kung maka-asta kala mo servant nila si Lea! Kala ata nila nasa comedy club sila.

    ReplyDelete
  37. It is her concert so she can choose whatever song line up she wants. The questioned concert was not even here in the Phils. so I don't understand the misplaced tantrums of those who wants her to sing Tagalog songs? Lea made her name known through her own efforts and not simply because of 'hype' like some famous celebs so she doesn't need to bend backwards to accommodate the toxic thinking of some. Just my two cents.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Exactly!! If her concert was held here dun dapat umalma tong mga to. Hello, her stint in Miss Saigon gave her the breakthrough that she needed kaya she also won a Tony. A TONY, aka the most prestigious award a Broadway artist can receive. Pray tell, mga Pilipino lang ba ang nasa audience ng Miss Saigon when it first ran in London in 1989, to the point na these bitter Pinoys are now acting as if they're the ones who made her? She doesn't owe us anything and if she's creating concerts fit for her foreign audience held in foreign countries then just deal with it.

    2. True 11:01. We watched Miss Saigon in London and the audience was 99% non-Filipino. Lea also won Laurence Olivier award & very popular here in NYC. We saw her concerts innAtlantic City & a private one in Manhattan, and the audience were mostly locals. She even sang 1 Filipino song in AC as part of her concert.

    3. Tony is most prestigous award in Broadway in USA, Lea also won a Laurence Oliver Award which is the most prestigious award in Broadway in United Kingdom

As far as everyone knows, Lea made her way to where she is now because of her talent and passion. Filipinos didn't help her nor boost her career just to make it to the international scene.

  44. The sense of entitlement some of the bastards have is appalling as if she owed them everything that she has right now. She made a name for herself through her own hard work. Mga din foreigners ang nagbigay sa kanya ng break in the international scene hindi mga Pinoys.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  46. I've watched her concert in Manila more than a decade ago. It's called Your Songs. Her guest at that time was Ai Ai delay Alas. She sung Tagalog songs naman. With her recent concert in Australia, she got different repertoire. All English songs but people who attended her concert really enjoyed it.

    2. My friend, who's not Pinoy, actually got a chance to have brief chat with her after her concert. He's so thrilled. Sabi nya she's so friendly and really accommodating. Ganda daw ng ngiti when he said he got a Pinoy friend who's going to watch her concert, too.

  49. I remember watching one of her concerts here in this country where I reside now. There was a point during the concert where she started acknowledging her audience. Few Filipinos from the audience (though there were a lot of our kababayans from the crowd), were shouting for her to acknowledge her Pinoy audience. Never heard her say it. It was odd and just simply curious, like what the h3ll? Will a shoutout to your kababayans hurt? I don’t think so. Will I still watch another concert or play of hers? Sure, why not?

  50. Bakya mode! 🤣 Lea is Lea a world class performer

  51. That's her concert abroad so of course her set list is meant for her foreign fans (yes, madaming theater and drama geeks who stan her). If you want her to sing Tagalog songs then catch her concerts here in Manila. Anong inexpect nyo, ASAP special yarn?

    1. So, uuwi pa ng pinas ung mga pinoy abroad para lang marinig si lea kumanta in tagalog? Whaat lol.

      Delete
    2. most concerts ni lea abroad were attended by majority white. kokonti lang ang pinoy. to sing a tagalog song would be inappropriate since hindi maiintindihan yan. ng majority

    3. 4:15 You missed the point. Lea's concert was intended for HER fans. Her legit fans=foreigners who follow her Broadway career, and not Pinoys na casual fans who just know her for her OPM songs and now demanding she accommodate them for the so-called Pinoy Pride. Even her albums iba-iba ang market, so if they want her to belt out pop songs eh di maghintay sila ng concert meant for that genre. Know your place.

  52. For sure super entitled yang mga pinoy na yan before the concert started kaya nadismaya na walang kinanta si Lea na tagalog pls lang nakakahiya kayo

  56. Lea could use her status to elevate Filipino music to the global stage. Hindi naman siguro kalabisan kung kumanta sya ng 1 or 2 OPM songs (Tagalog man or English) in her concerts abroad to introduce OPM to her global audience.

    1. Meron naman siya tagalog songs on her last concerts. Siyempre iba iba ng line up

    2. She's been carrying PH on the global stage for decades now, it's not her fault if her fellow Pinoys can't see or appreciate her craft.

Yang "1 or 2" songs na yan can make a huge difference to the experience of her intended audience. Kunwari you're a pop music fan in a Lady Gaga concert in PH. How would you feel if she uses 1 or 2 songs to sing Italian classical music since that's her background and since there are lots of Italians watching?

Luckily she saved it during the finale and I think that was the exciting part of the show. Honestly, the concert was a bit boring especially the lineup of the songs she sang. But Lea is really good at performing and really talented.

  72. I watched a couple of her concerts in Pinas. One show she did a few Aegis songs with Ai-ai. Sa New York naman, It would have been my first time attending a Broadway show, which I learned to love because of Lea, sadly, that incident turned me off. I went to see A different show instead. It would have been my chance to see a master do her craft- didn’t regret it one bit. She also recently did a concert in my home state, skipped that one, too. Needless to say, I still like her music, just not her. Haha

  73. Pinoys really lacking manners. Kahit saan mapunta, hindi alam paano umasta. Nakakahiya. You don't boo an artist unless they're doing really bad in singing/acting.
