    1. How can we really understand the bill if we keep on reading excerpts from people who have a different political views? Sana magbasa muna tayo nung mismong bill bago tayo magassume agad. Upon reading Lucy’s explanation, she clearly based on the perspective of people who would like to protect a human life.

  3. I am from Mindanao particularly from Zamboanga City. I have witnessed 2 wars. One, during the time of former Pres. Joseph Estrada where he declared all out war against the MILF and second was during the Zambo Siege in 2013 where we had to pack our essentials in a backpack so anytime we could run but you don't really know where to run to. But I was so thankful to the military, they protected our barangay thus, MNLF was not able to infiltrate. I've seen many bombings and security threats in my city. And yes, I support the anti terrorism law. I don't want my future kids and the present kids to witness what I witnessed in the past.

    1. I am hoping that all those who suffered terrorist acts, please voice out your opinions loud and clear here in Manila. I urge these journalist to provide these victims a real exposure to the realities of terrorism. And I hope that those who suffered from terrorism, please hold a rally here in Manila so people could understand your fear. I am praying for those who oppose the bill just because of their so called activism for themselves, please hear the victims for once 😔

Martial law nga sa amin sa Mindanao in which people feel really safe eh against kayo.
Galit na galit kayo sa martial law namin kahit di niyo naman naranasan na makarinig ng putukan between NPA and military. My cousin almost got raped ng NPA.
Some of you are making fun of us nga. Let me tell you, marami kaming magaling mag english and tagalog however, the way you portray us sa movies eh iba ang enunciation sa words. Tapos you want us to rally? We've been doing that. WE ARE OKAY SA MARTIAL LAW AND ANTI-TERRORISM BILL pero nakinig ba kayo? wala.

    1. Hindi mo ba nagets or ayaw mo intindihin?

Yung other personal issues mo about the incompetence and corruption, sa implementing rules and regulations na ho yan pwedeng pagusapan.

It could be strengthened without being unconstitutional. Please read muna nang mabuti before spreading your igorance around.

Yung sinabi ni lucy is useless kasi she assumed the law exists in a vacuum. Kung ipapagawa pa lang sa DOJ yung safeguards, how would the people and the legislators ratify something they dont know. The safeguards should be part of the law itself, not created by the same people who will be wielding that power. There are so many issues with police and military abuse that need to be resolved. Yung redtagging ng pnp, yung exemptions nila from the law, yung pagabuso nila sa mga tao ngayong ECQ/GCQ - hindi yan out of the topic because controlling police and military abuse of power is inherent in ANY ANTI-TERRORISM BILL.

-from a lawyer who has actually read the 1987 Constitution

If you want to conpare the Human Security act of 2007 and the Anti-terrorism bill, read up on both. You will see how the provisions will work against human rights. We are anti terrorists but the government we have now is the one terrorizing our people. undue process and selective justice.

Hindi mo ata nagets sis, halimbawa ganito, me ngpaplano mambomba ng mrt, hindi mo pwede hulihin ang terrorista kc wla taung batas regarding dyan, kailangan me actual na bombahan muna na mgyari para sila ay makulong.

Eh terrorista? May sumuko ba? May naikulong ba?

    7. with or without the terror bill, the government can still stop the terrorists. 12. Lucy is speaking about the THEORY of anti-terrorism bill. But REALITY on the ground tells us that the massive corruption, red tagging and incompetence of our law enforces and govt officials, the law WILL be used to violate human rights. Look at Mocha, PCOO, PNP - they are already tagging unarmed civillians as terrorists! Well, we know already what happened.

  13. We all want to combat terrorism naman tgere's no question about it. Ang problema lang is this particular bill is vague in some parts and can be used to abuse the people speaking out their disdain in the government. See?

  32. Lucy, you don't have to tell us the Pro's of this bill but rather the Con's to the mistakenly arrested individual if somebody made a mistake. Tell us how would someone know that a suspected terrorist a terrorist without arresting him/her first. How would someone know that he/she is arresting a terrorist? Kung ang MILF, MNLF, ASG at NPA etc ay guilty sa mga ganito, this bill must be applied to them exclusively until they are pulverized and exterminated. Propose an ID system, secure the seaport and assign that anti-terrorism bill on those groups dahil sa totoo lang sila lang talaga ang nanggugulo diyan.

51. Bwahahaha you all never learn your lesson. The govt pretty much had left you to fend for yourselves these past few months, and you're all gonna come out of it just to say that the admin has the capacity to enforce order and justice and that they should keep being in charge of you.

  52. Bill has good intentions and purpose if interpreted and implemented accordingly.

  53. They should also craft the bill with the right target in mind. It must be safe from abuse (even from the government)

Papano kung magkamali ang mga Pulis? which is very evident nung nag ECQ.

  57. So ano gusto nyu?

Anong proof? Chismis! "Mere suspicion" which will get you in jail with no compensation for wrongful detention!

    2. teh naging epektibo ang gobyerno sa ginawang paglusob sa Marawi di ba, so there's no stopping the AFP from doing their job. So bakit nyo kailangan pa ng ganitong batas?

  58. Okay yan kung maayos yung justice system natin. Pero hindi eh so wag ewan Lucy. Try mo maging mahirap ng malaman mo ang point namin, ultimo middle class ramdam yang kadireng justice system natin

    ReplyDelete
  59. Meron na palang articles 137, 139 at 142 sa Revised Penal Code na according to Lucy herself ay more incriminating than anti-terrorism bill, then bakit pa kailangan neto?

  60. I think people na hindi directly affected area sa terrorism cannot understand the situation versus some people are experiencing especially sa ordinaryong mamayan na naninirahan sa Jolo and Marawi. Akala nila madali ang buhay dun na kagaya lang sa Luzon, for how many years people live in fear of any kind of terrorism will happen in that area and its a fact po.

  62. MANILA: RALLY (ayaw sa anti-terrorism bill)

MINDANAO: NPA, ABU SAYAFF, WAR ( SUPPORTS MARTIAL LAW AND THID BILL)

    3. 6:43, Lol, there are already laws that deal with terrorists baks. It’s not like we don’t have enough laws already. How do think did the government with NPA and Abu sayyaf? Kaloka ka. Don’t be ignorant of the facts.

  63. The bill is a licence for more abuse, impunity and injustice. It’s that obvious.

    ReplyDelete
But you can't deny that there are evil, power-hungry, abusive people out there, majority of which are in our very government. Who is to say this bill won't be used for devious means? I can't trust these people with that kind of power, do you?

    ReplyDelete
  65. At the end of the day, the bill is created to be use and abused by those in power. Good luck na lang sa atin

So yes, I support Anti Terror Bill.

You are referring to a distant future of abuse but the npa and terrorist has been tormenting the country as of the moment. Dont say implement lang sa mindanao. Its like youre offering luzon to them wholeheartedly.

Tayo nasa top10 ng terrorist haven in the world.

Lagi sila natatakot if may papasok sa bahay nila (even bago pa mag pandemic) para magnakaw, or kumuha ng kamag anak.

The Philippines is not just Metro Manila.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Agree. If nalupig talaga yung npa at terrorist di na sana ginawa yung batas.
I dont want a siege in manila similar to marawi. If this will at least guarantee my loved ones safety i dont mind.
Problem kasi nirerelate yung human rights nila sa terrorism bill. If magkaron ng terror attack anong ggwin nyo magrarally? Diba you will ask the same gov to protect your as$?
