    1. May bumili eh. Binili yan dahil gawa ni Richard. Hindi un painting mismo ang binili. Un pangalan niya sa painting. In years time, kung wala na si Goma may resale value yan. Nakakatawa naman eh.

    2. Baka si Lucy ang bumili...

Hahahaha

    6. It's Richard Gomez! Duh! Marami nagpantasya dyan at nagpapantasya pa rin till now.

  2. I never questioned artists pero gusto kong questionin ang pagka babaw ng gawa ni Goma. Also, nedyo disturbing yung chosen subjects nya ha.

    1. I wouldn’t call it disturbing. Yun ang style niya eh. But it’s really ugly and very expensive. Lol.

      Delete
    2. Ugly is the word indeed. Add vulgar, too. Not my cup of tea but others might see it differently.

      Delete
    3. I have to say.i was moved.it made me curious.

    4. If you would go to the most expensive ang classiest galleries in Europe maraming ganyang paintings. Naive lang?

      Delete
    5. You get what you pay for.

      Delete
    6. Well you're not in Europe and may I remind you he is in Public Office. The painting if you really considered as painting is very VULGAR. What a waste.

    1. Kung may bumili ng 196k, eh di ibenta. Why not?

Lol!

      Delete
    2. Bat kelangan mamaliit ng artist? Can you even paint?

      Delete
    3. 2:21 and 2:51.

      Delete
    5. not all people who can paint can be called an artist. just like, just because you can take pictures you can can already be called a photographer. get it?

    6. Apples and oranges 11:46am i don't think goma is claiming to be a painter na professional, sabihin mo na may nauto sya hahaha

    7. Clearly his paintings are not worth 196k.

The funny thing is if other people drew this, they are bastos but pag celebrity "work of art".

    1. I draw and paint, and hindi ko pinursue ang art dahil disillusioned nga ako sa mga ganito and kahit gusto ko mang magpinta buong araw for the rest of my life it will not pay my bills lol. But cmon, if nagvandal lets say si duterte sa isang public toilet when he was 10 I'm 100% sure babaklasin nila yung pader at ilalagay sa museum once they discover na siya ang may gawa nun. Same with goma, he's a famous showbiz icon/politician who's maintained a pretty wholesome career eversince (really not someone you would expect na mag draw ng humongous yellow p**** with c**) and this is one of his early works, so mageevolve ang style ng gawa niya which will make his p**** painting even more rare kung makagawa pa siya ng daan daang painting. Parang kay heart E lang, madami siyang pinepaintan ng mamahaling designer bags but lets say one day she just says I wanna switch my medium to clay and does that till shes 95...then those 10 or so designer bags that she painted with women/flowers/fish will be a collector's item since she's a wife of a pretty known politician and an actress...so kay goma, once pumanaw siya the fact that he has a p**** painting that he made once upon a time is prolly gonna be a big deal. Not as big of a deal as let's say, pag nadiscover nila somewhere na may p**** art si mother theresa or mahatma gandhi, but it'll still be a collector's item just because richard is pretty famous. I dunno how people are surprised, sa lahat ng propesyon art is one of those na least regulated at "anything goes", walang clear standards kung ano ang excellent vs. trash... you can't pull half the bs you try to pull in art class in let's say, classical music class or literature class...and absolutely, absolutely not in the sciences. Just like any other thing in this world, majority of art is ugly, majority of artists are mediocre and untalented, just like there are millions of people in this world and only a few actually stand out. Unfortunately, it's harder when it comes to art, and there are many times na hindi base sa objective merit ang value na naassign sa art because human beings are biased, and feelings/perceptions are subjective.

    2. You have a point there, 2:45. Parang si Yoko Ono lang. Have you seen her works? Avant garde artist siya. Even John Lennon himself, when he first met her, he was baffled as he was an artist/writer himself. And have you heard her sing? Parang crying banshee lang and yet people still flock to see her performance. Just because she is who she is, Yoko and half of a famous Beatle.

      Delete
    3. @11AM: Im no artist but I understand that art is subjective. Thanks for your comment. Of all the things I’ve read online, yours is the most sensible one esp about the part when you mentioned how the value of his painting would get an appraisal once he dies. Makes me think of wanting to invest on so-called paintings created by famous people. Haha.

The artist simply called it 'Ang aking sim card' the art was priced at 200k plus and that time already had a sold out note below the labels. Art piece ethusiasts are very odd. I won't be surprised if other non-pleasing paintings get sold out in thousands of pesoses like this dick painting

  29. Art of any kind should elicit a reaction, should start a conversation - good or bad. So the fact that ang dami niyong nag comment just means it did its job. I don't like it but you have to admit, if you put it up sa house it'll be a conversation piece. But then pag wala kang pambili niyan, i doubt you'll have a dinner party at your house talking about the merits of art.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Funny na nagugulat pa ang mga tao. Ganyan talaga ang art world, pati fashion world - all about image, perception, at branding.

Ayan sinakyan kayo ng mga kagaya ni Goma, now he's laughing his way to the bank, thanks to you modern artists.

    1. 6:31, Just because people think that Richard’s painting isn’t good doesn’t mean they aren’t cultured. If you are cultured, then you would know that people’s tastes are different especially when it comes to art. I find some of the modern art to be lazy & uninspiring compared to the Impressionists & the Old Masters.

  60. Not a fan of museums and paintings but I believe peoplesss are overacting over this issue. It's an art, period. They discredit Richard because he's just 'actor/politician' that's why he can't charge that much for his piece? The same peopless who complain are the same peoplesss would line up for items (or wish to have the items) with a signature of a famous designer but ignore the local products with same quality because they are after the name. #hyprocrites

  62. This is soooo SAD. This kind is one of those who try to involve themselves in the field of arts, yet have no talent at all. Yes, art is subjective and you can never mistake, but there is such thing called talent. He doesn't have it. Solenn is one great artist so kahit artista sya, her works are really worth buying. I feel sorry for those LEGIT artists who invest their hearts and soul into each of their works because they want to create a masterpiece, yet they STARVE because they're nobody. This guy just dips his brush into paint, finish a painting in just a snap of a finger and calls it "art", sells it for a fortune because he's popular. Sad reality.
