A police official stated that Sulli had been suffering from severe depression, although no details have been revealed by Sulli’s family and/or SM Entertainment.

Police have revealed that Sulli died by suicide after hanging herself in her house from the second floor.

    1. As per news articles that I've read earlier when it came out, she was criticized by netizens last July for wearing no bra in her IG photos then when doing IG live, she had a nip slip.

    3. Sad. Mental illness and bullying are serious iasues that should be given enough attention around the world.

    4. Asus...pero pag pinoy ang gumihingi ng tulong regarding mental health issues and depression, sasabihin nyo maarte...papansin...attention seeker...nakikiride sa issue...etc etc etc...tapos pag magpakamatay "how tragic...sayang...sana humingi sya ng tulong." Comedy talaga kayo

Hanap ka new friends.

Also, people today finds its own way to fully understand that kind of illness.

      Delete
    9. 10:26 bakit may nagpapakamatay pa din? Un kanta mo out of topic maisingit mo lang.

      Delete
    6. I hope EXO members migrate to the Philippines... They'd be happier here and have more freedom. The only problem is our economy... If PH is a rich country with a lot of opportunities for them and their family is here too, they'd jump at the chance to relocate here and leave behind their toxic korean showbiz career. Kai might obviously choose cebu if that happens for real. LOL!

I also believe Dara is still in Korea because of her career only.
I also believe Kpop does a lot of blood sacrifices so you kpop fans better stop the fanwars with other local celeb fandoms and being racist to your fellow filipinos and start praying your idols survive. Ipagdasal nyong hindi sila maialay na blood sacrifice in the future.

      Delete
    7. The only stopping Dara from leaving korea permanently is her career. I think yan din ang reason kung bakit Ryan Bang turned down an offer to be a part of a popular comedy show in Korea kasi takot sya sa toxic and super strict culture dun. He knows he will suffer there... He is much happier here in the PH and he wants to stay happy kaya andito parin sya.

  3. Dapat dito din satin may regular counseling ang mga artists provided by the network. And protect their artists hindi yung sila pa mismo manglalaglag minsan

  4. With all the hatred and sexual harrassment thrown at her, I hope she can finally be at peace.

Being pretty, famous and rich isn't everything. Every girl would dream to live a life like Sulli, but many forget what happens backdoors. You can get traumatized from constant sexual harrassment and comments insulting everything you do, just like what Sulli has been through.

I hope she finally finds her peace.

    12. She used to be in an idol group full of "this member only" fans. They tear the other members so that they could raise their idols. Sulli got a lot of hate for some 'no big deal'incidents. Things got worse when she dated a man in 30's when she was a teen. The man is a popular rapper known for his big... Youknowhat. Sexual harrassment + hate comment thrown her way until today.

  5. We're living in a very scary world. Sana matauhan yung mga bashers niya who mocked her and called her names. They may not be entirely the reason why she came to her breaking point but they contributed to it. They were part of what pushed her to do it. The words thrown at her, yung unreasonable at baseless hate, no one deserves it.

    Rest in peace, Sulli. :(

    3. I watched a documentary on how their government deals with this issue. They have vending machines which dispenses help kits that contains encouraging messages to live and contact numbers to call for help. They also posted these messages on the bridges where suicide usually occurs.

    4. Same with Japan.. meron pa nga sila lugar para mag su... hayyy

      Delete
    6. Mental health issue is still a taboo in SoKor. Once you admit na depressed ka, mahina ka sa mata ng mga tao doon the reason why they opt to stay quiet and fight battles in silence. Kakalungkot lang.

  10. Her sad eyes say it all. Sad.

  11. Grabe kase ang culture of bashing sa Korea. As celebrities, you are expected to be perfect and not commit any single, even minor, mistakes. I hope everyone who hurled insults at her will feel the guilt of her death. My condolences to her family. All Kpop celebs should do counseling. Gone too soon.

Naalala ko yung kwento niya about the rumor of her being pregnant because a hospital staff leaked her information, nakakaawa. She's been receiving hates on a daily basis. Cried on social media but people thought it's just one of her "papansin" ways. I hope Sokor will take mental health issues seriously and be more sensitive.

    3. how they are treating idols agad? SM gave Sulli a break from f(x) activities and gave her freed on whatever she wanted to do (her own talk show, solo release etc) cause theyre aware of her condition. don't make presumptions just because two idols from same company died of suicide.

      Delete
    4. Sino 11:56? Si Krystal ba? Anyway diff company but I just found out that Goo Hara also tried to end her life pala, but was given medical attention ASAP...

      Delete
    5. Let's not blame an agency for what happened to Sulli. Was it SM the one who sent all the hate comments constantly? Was it SM the one who heavily criticized every action she did since she debuted at 15? No, it was the public. It was the audience. They made hatred comments without any remorse. Evil people should be blame for this and not SM Entertainment.

    6. I think goo hara received so much bashing din before @12:33

    7. Goo Hara I think had an issue with her exBF and may ongoing case sila. Buti na lang naligtas siya and was saved on time. Now she’s promoting in Japan I think. Sulli if I’m not mistaken mentioned before na she has a mental illness. I don’t know if she was doing treatment but now it’s all too late. RIP Sulli. 🙏

    10. The knetz are more responsible for these. Grabe cyberbullying nila. Sokor should take actions protecting people from these. Dapat magkaron sila ng law about cyberbullying or else lalong tataas suicide rate sa kanila.

    11. 2:20 si Taeyeon nga. She admitted pala na she’s undergoing treatment for depression. Two of her closest friends went away already...I hope she remains strong.

It’s so ironic na she was one of the most famous members sa SNSD and yet we never knew she was carrying so much inside her. Fame really does mess up so many people! Mahirap mag-balanse. Kailangan lagi kang may support system.

Ang isa pa regarding Korean culture, when idols and celebrities do something like attempt suicide, or don’t do well sa performance bc they’re feeling under the weather physically or emotionally or mentally, sila pa ang maga-apologize sa tao for what happened! Grabe lang.

      Delete
    12. 1:23 her parents were so worried about her that during her concert after jonghyun died, her mom asked her to promise in front of her fans that she wont go anywhere and would sing for a very long time. Which she did. Hoping everyone would have a strong foundation so no one would ever feel alone.

Not into kpop, pero i remember her in a kdrama and her guesting in running man. she seemed so sweet.. i tried to read about her now, and found out she got a lot of hate from being vocal about her then bf, for kissing her friend, for going braless, etc - basically normal things if she lived in a less conservative country.
She seemed like a free spirit, but kept getting knocked down by haters.

  19. South Korea has already surpassed Japan in terms of suicides. South Korea has one of the highest suicide rates in the world. They have such an extremely toxic, superficial society where they put premium on perfection: looks, social status, education, professional life, etc.

No wonder Koreans have long been leaving their country to raise their families in happier countries, like the Philippines.

Medical records, chat logs, documents and such that are supposed to be private can be accessible by media.
