Sorry, pls enlighten me, nakaka-bahala yung ganito...

    3. 2:32 malamang naclone yung card niya.

    4. 2:32 am: pwdeng naduplicate ung card nya when she was transacting, for example, sa mga gas stations.

      Delete
    5. @2:32 either na-clone yung card nya or nakuha yung card infos nya via online transactions. As much as possible pag gagamit ng credit cards, sa harapan mo isa-swipe para bantay sarado mo at hindi ma-clone yung info sa card mo.

    6. Andaming mamaru dito...

Dito kase sa UK (sorry ho di ako nagyayabang just based from experience of having a credit card and working at a bank) - kina cancel agad nila yung card and also they reimburse you kapag nireport mo na di sayo yung transactions na yun. They cancel the card straight away to prevent further charges, then they investigate (like mga cctv sa atm’s kung ikaw ba yung gumagamit, etc). Di ba ganon dyan? Also they usually have a safety cap here... kung biglang may big transactions or unusual.. di agad na authorise yung transaction. They try contact you either by phone or email na may unusual activity sa account mo and they want to make sure kung ikaw ba yun

    8. Its called card cloning or skimming.

    9. 2.32- possibly na hack ung card nya. Di ako expert pero, baka ang nangyari nung ginamit nya ung card online or sa store, may nakakuha ng information nya tapos ginamit sya for transactions. Ung information ng card mo encryptred sya eh, kaso may mga hackers na kayang i bypass un to get ur card info, and use that for transactions. Thats how they "steal"/ shop without the physical card.

      Delete
    12. May bagong modus ngayon, look for the video online. They don't need to clone the card right away. The cashier just needs to take a photo of the front and back, that's all it takes. Kaya pag nagpunta kayo ng resto at nagbayad with your cc, wag masyado kampante. Better to follow them siguro and see how they process your card.

    13. Yes thank you guys for the info, currently looking on ways how to prevent it 🙏🙏

At nahahabol yan kahit online mo gamitin.

  2. This is sad and really alarming. Di biro ang 500k. I thought banks alert credit card holders about purchases or withdrawals to verify if sila nga ang nag transact nun? Lalo na 500k.

    1. Baka multiple transactions siya na “small” amounts

      Delete
    2. Not only that di ba pag nireport kina cancel agad yon? Panong hanggang ngayon nggamit pa?

      Delete
    3. Is there a chance na maibalik ang stolen amount? Based from what I heard napakahirap talaga dahil ang issuing bank hindi basta basta na babayaran ka.

    4. Annon 1:29

      Delete
    5. @1:29 no cash was stolen. Credit card ang ginamit or na-clone.

      Delete
    6. 1:29 she could file a dispute claim. Ewan Ko lang how fast gumalaw dyan sa Pinas.

      Delete
    7. 1:29 ikaw naman ang hindi magbabayad e kasi credit cards are used for disbursements so you can contest na di legit transaction yun na ikaw gumawa at di mo babayaran ang bangko.

      Delete
    9. @1:29 if you can prove na hindi talaga ikaw ang gumamit sa card, I think the store or stores won't allow you to pay.. anyway, may insurance naman ang mga business establishments sa atin, I hope.

  3. Oh no! Grabe na ang magnanakaw ngayon. That's why it is best to limit your number of credit cards. Two or three cards are enough. The more credit cards you have in your possession, the more you are prone to getting victimized by these perpetrators.

    1. Is 1 not enough for you?

    2. 9:52 Korak! Nalowka ako sa 3 credit cards! Grabe lang!

  6. I was fraud too around 300k naman. Sa Bulacan naman. It took Me a year and half para ma resolve yung issue ko sa credit card company. Akalain mo yun sabihan ba naman ako I have to pay For it kahit na hinde ako gumamit. Talagang hinde ako nag bayad kahit ilang beses ako tawagan etc etc. Naka ilang talak din ako sa kanila....

  7. Naku, grabe na talaga ang panahon ngayon..ang daming scammers.. contact the bank immediately..it happened to me also..buti nalang na check ko ang transactions sa cc statement..I think one off transaction ang nangyari sa kay angge kasi ang laki ng amount.

So ayun.

  9. I wanna scratch the pin at the back of my CC. I really want to do this tho i aint sure if it’ll go against the bank rules.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Pwede i-scratch yung CVC part. Yung tipong halata talaga pag sinubukang tanggalin.

      Delete
    2. Takpan mo na lang. And for every transaction dapat kita mo pag kinakaskas.

      Delete
    3. Removing d CVC at d back will only prevent d scammer from using it online.

Correct me if I’m wrong mga sis kasi where I live ganon. Wala lang po sa Pinas. Kasi it happened to me though di ganyan kalaki my credit card company cancelled the card right away, expedited a new cc, investigated and binalik yung nanakaw.

    1. wala kasi notification banks dito for every transactions made compared sa ibang bansa na may text o e-mail agad asking to confirm transaction bago iprocess kaya di agad malalaman ng may-ari agad, siguro sinubukan gamitin ni Angge tapos nagmaxout kaya nalaman niya. either online transactions o may cc copier kaya nagamit ng fraud ang account

      Delete

      Delete
  11. Ok, which bank is that, and why it didn't flag down unusual charging? The CC is not yet suspended? Fortunately it's not her debit card that got hit...at least a credit card usually got a limit. IMO, if you can cash it, it's better rather than swiping that CC or DC.

I am appreciative of the bank I use here in UAE. They immediately called when I used my DC for booking flights, confirming that I did the online purchase. Plus, any transactions using it, I either get an SMS or email.

      Delete

  13. It happened to me too.

  16. Talamak yan sa US. Sooner or later sobrang dami ndn nyan satin. Kaya ingat ingat po tyo.

  18. Wala bang alert sa kanya man lang like text na pag ginamit yung card the issuer will text her? That way mamomonitor mo yung usage ng card at pag my ibang gumagamit.

  20. I too was victimized. Last time I used my cc sa isang cellphone merchant then 2 days later I got a call from the bank saying there wer multiple attempts to use my card sa ibat ibang online websites. The bank blocked my card and I had to wait 7 days before I get the replacement.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Dito sa US, naseset namin yun alerts ng card. So as little as $5 na purchase, may text and email agad sa akin. Sana ganyan na din sa pinas. Right ng cardholder yun.

Hindi naman malaki ang halaga compared to angge but sayang din..mapapadala ko pa ang ninakaw na pera sa family ko sa Phil...Kaya I always check my bank statements online kasi ma trace mo talaga ang mga transactions.
